What you need to be doing are dead lifts and squats. Those two lifts will raise your testosterone levels which will cause you to burn calories quicker as well as cause you to put on more muscle. More muscle = more calories burned. Of course this advise only applies to males

On top of the 1g/lb protein advice, I'd recommend sleeping at least 7 hours a day. You produce most of your growth hormone when you're asleep.

If it was the front of your knee, I'd have a few suggestions (patellar tendon issues are usually due to poor squat form or lack of flexibility). The back of your knee is another story entirely. You could have a cyst or a minor tear in your meniscus. Best case scenario would be a strain. Any of these possible issues will…

I agree with whatatime. You just have to ignore the haters. I'm an avid lifter and a computer programmer. Lifting is how I destress my brain after a long day, plus I like how it makes me look. Unfortunately all my peers are either sedentary or runners. Twice I've had a moron accuse me of taking steroids just because I'm…

Your liver determines your cholesterol level. Not whether or not you eat eggs. I've proved this myself by eating eggs every day for a year and then comparing my cholesterol levels from my physical with prior years. The only dietary item I've found personally that raises cholesterol levels is drinking beer every day

For me the accuracy is great for regular cardio but terrible for lifting and heavy bag work. I didn't expect it to work for the heavy bag though :p The heart rate monitoring works great when I'm hiking and cycling which is what I got it for so I'm pretty happy with it. Plus I think it's cool to see what your heart rate is…

I have the Surge. If I could do it over I'd get the Charge HR but the Surge is pretty good!

Man, quite the reaction for and against people wearing jeans. I've worn jeans before on upper body day when I wanted to lift over my lunch break and never got a reaction from anybody. Of course on upper body day I'm doing 5 sets with 275 on the bench in a super set with chin ups. I must be super totally friggin awesome! Or…

Same thing I do every night. I go to bed ;)

Scooby has given me tips I can actually use like good pull up form. Elliot Hulse is entertaining though

I always look for protein powder that doesn't have artificial sweeteners in it. It makes it difficult to buy locally but amazon always has something

I used to skip breakfast due to time constraints. It totally led to overeating at lunch and dinner. Now I throw together a protein shake every morning: 1 cup 1% milk 1 cup greek yogurt 1 scoop of protein powder I use unflavored protein powder and get the flavoring from the greek yogurt. I suppose it's not for everyone but…
