That is awesome news, Cat, but not surprising. You went into surgery strong and in the best shape you could be. You can do it! Finished applying for Medicare today. Woohoo!

Hi Cat! Great job on the weight loss. I'm so glad your recovery is going well. All is well here. I m still on MFP, tracking daily, and checking in to see if anyone has posted anything. I'm still maintaining and hoping to continue to lose albeit at a snail's pace. I miss everyone, too. I especially miss Gerri's enthusiasm.…

Ann, I'm glad you're still here, too. Keep up the good work. Cat, great job! You'll be running with me before long. I'm doing fine. Maintaining my weight for now and trying to get my head back into losing again. <3

Cat, do NOT be disgusted with yourself. I'd lay odds that most of that is water weight. As the swelling in your leg improves, the pounds will go flying off.

Welcome back, Cat! I'm sorry to hear that your post-op course has been complicated by infection. Your priorities certainly are different right now: get rid of the infection, and work on regaining mobility and strength. I hope that all goes smoothly from now on and that your family is taking good care of you. Ann, I hope…

Hi Ann. I think the group may be limping along right now, but we all want to support each other. I am a person who needs her own space, so I understand how the loss of those rooms would impact you. I hope you have come up with a solution that works for you. Wishing you an active week!

Shout out to Cat - Hope you are comfortable and doing well! Ann, why are you getting fed up? Are you still hanging in there with the strength training? It's so good for you. Hubby and I just celebrated our 39th anniversary, so calorie intake today was a bit higher than I might have liked, but not terrible. I'll get back on…

Ann, keep up the good work. How is the strength training going? I find it boring, so I treat myself to a favorite show while I do it. Cat, I'll be thinking of you and hoping that your recovery from tomorrow's surgery is speedy and uneventful. When you feel up to it, please drop a line to let us know how you are doing. I'm…

Happy June, everyone! New month, fresh start. Cat, is your surgery still set for the 13th? Ann, good luck with those 10,000 steps.

Ugh! I posted in the wrong place. So, here it is again - the ugly truth! Up 2!!! But, I can't get my rings on, so I'm pretty sure this is a water weight gain. Wishing you both a fantastic week.

Congratulations Cat!! Don’t worry. You’ll get back on track as things settle down. Ann, you were on holiday. You’ll get back on track.

I don't seem to have the energy for daily check-ins, but I do like Ann's suggestion. My physical went well. MyPCP was pleased with my weight loss once I assured her that it was intentional. Weight is down 0.4 this weekend. I think I'd like to continue to take off weight, but will be fine if it comes off very slowly. I…

@kaliswalker - Lynne, thank you for your vision and follow-through!

I am deciding what to do. My reason for losing weight was to get myself into the best possible shape I could to try to delay future medical issues. I have not reached my goal weight, but I think that further weight loss would be for reasons of vanity. I'm not sure that I care to do it. I see my PCP for my yearly physical…

Congrats to you, Ann! I hope that you are adjusting to your living situation and finding time for yourself. Cat, I haven't read that book. Please let us know what you think of it. I'd be happy to read it if you recommend it. To echo Ann, let's make today a good one!

My 84 year-old MIL had her knee replacement surgery on Monday. She is home and doing well. While you are waiting for surgery, get your quads as strong as you can!

Pass day #2. I went over a bit on calories.

Cat, we know you are NOT a no good lazy bum, so there must be another reason. The new med should definitely be considered as a possible culprit. Ann, I am sorry to hear of your daughter's challenges. Continue to take good care of yourself!

@LazyBlondeChef - I am so very sorry to hear that. You'll be in my thoughts and in my meditations. Wishing you the strength you need to deal with the physical and emotional ramifications of the disease and the treatment. <3
