Okay, here is something for you to consider since there is no way anyone can possibly guess how many extra calories you may or may not burn enjoying yourself at the concert...., Many many years ago (back in the70's) we would just go, have fun, wake up the next day and resume our daily business..,, Not everything has to be…

Sooooo, you want to talk curvy??? Let's see. I am 54, a scootch under 5', and at 120 pounds with a medium to large frame my current measurements are 36 across the breasts, 32 under the breasts, 281/2 at the waist(blame menopause because when I was your age it was 24) hips remain 34 (after 2 children who are older than you)…

Olive oil, and sprays..... Somethings I will add chicken broth or water to 'steam fry'

As I am sure your doctor has told you at some point, exercise such as walking is good when you have a heart condition. It is just the intensity of spinning for instance I would be concerned about if your doctor has not specifically cleared you for that, especially since you are having periodic increase of symptoms. Your…

It also has protein and is super simple to make :) I have it every couple of weeks to change things up.

Take your measurements to help track your progress, and weigh plus log everything you eat. When you have so little to lose, it takes patience. Trust in the process and don't be surprised if you only lose a half pound every two or three weeks. Good luck

:) Good job!

This exactly :) The number one reason people don't lose is because they underestimate their food intake and overestimate their exercise calories. I often think of weight loss as a never ending science experiment of cause and effect. Every time you make a change in your calorie intake or change up or add to your exercise,…

I reached my goal weight by prelogging...... Now that doesn't mean I didn't stray once in a while or change things up and adjust as life happened, but I had my game plan every morning

I am in for the moment someone realises their metabolism can slow down by75 or 100 calories a day and overeat by a hardboiled egg, an orange or an apple and gain10 pounds in a year :/

Hey Kristin, I just wanted to tell you one more thing....... I am fully confident if you ever feel a little down on your progress, rather than giving up you could private message anyone of us that responded to you here..... @PAV8888 ,@theowlhousedexigns, @snickerscharlie , @lifting4lis, @lemonsnowdrop. or myself..... They…

Hi Kristin... I am 54 and just a scootch under 5' myself. Since December I have successfully lost 30 pounds and am working on upping my calories to find my ultimate maintenance number. For the first 15 pounds I only concentrated on weighing my food and logging, and bought a cheap pedometer to try to see what kind of steps…

Great job :) As whatatimetobefit said, when you get down to the last 8-10 pounds expect your loss to slow significantly. If that happens just trust in the process and stick with the program. My deficit was really small so I was only losing half pound every two or three weeks at the end :s. You've got this!!!

Me either....... Remembering a response from a mod last week on another thread that makes me think this is allowed?

Your goal is completely doable. You don't have to buy special food or only organic in order to lose weight, or spend money on a gym membership. It all comes down to calories in being less than the calories you burn (CI/CO). There is a good website called budgetbytes.com that has affordable recipe ideas. Weigh and log all…

Hi there.... 54 here and had the weight creep up over the past few years myself. When I gained10 lbs last year with no change in my eating habits I got worried about that too. The good news is I knocked off a total of 30 lbs over 6 months and am working on maintenance now. There was a thread on metabolism a few weeks back.…

Also, you have to reset it from the website, not the app.

Well, Mondays are my usual weigh in days, but because of the 4th I waited a couple of days. So happy this morning to still see the scale straight up at 120. :) Now to be good over the weekend :/ Tami

[quote="CALIECAT;33174942" PS I do need a sugar free dressing, Any recommendations Marie[/quote] Hi Marie.... Have you tried the Bolthouse yogurt dressings? They have very low sugar counts all from fruit, no added sugar or artificial sweetners. Lots of flavors, low sodium too. Just an idea. Tami

Concentrate on the fat macro with less saturated fats and more unsaturated fats like olive oil, avocado, almonds for example. Exercise is also highly beneficial.

Hi :) A short list is would include Greek yogurt, cottage cheese (be careful of the sodium), lentils, quinoa, kale, any type of shell fish like shrimp, pork, white fish, black beans, nuts and seeds, peanut butter, canned tuna, mozzarella and ricotta cheese. I see a lot of people use Quest bars or make smoothies with a…

I am so sorry to hear. I have had several friends and family go through chemo and radiation. The first thing is to make sure you stay hydrated, which will help you feel fuller. The second is to stay as active as possible. I know my dad's oncologist told him as much as he would want to, the worst thing he could do was go…

You can definitely do it. Like Arditarose I am finally at maintenance, but the last eight pounds took as long for me to lose as the first 22 :/ When we are shorties our deficiet is so small you really need to be diligent about weighing and measuring and logging every bite. Just keep the faith and trust in the process even…

With the help of the Easter and 4th of July challenges, I lost 30 pounds and hit my goal weight of 120 on June 27th :) So I will be working on maintenance and upping my fitness commitment during this challenge. Good luck everyone <3. We CAN do this!!!! Tami

I am 54. Mine was more like 5 one year and 10 the next. My doctor explained to me that with a small slow down in my metabolism due to menopause all it took was an extra70 to 100 calories a day to pack on10 pounds in a year.... So essentially overeating by one hardboiled egg, or an orange or an apple :s. The good news is…

It will help you retain lean muscle mass while you lose if you start now. Many people have posted that they regret not at least doing some resistance/strength work during their weight loss phase and were fat skinny by the time they reached goal. It is also easier to retain muscle than rebuild it. Good luck

Just sending happy thoughts and good vibes your direction <3. So proud of you for taking back the power in your life. I have no doubt your future is going to be bright and filled with good things. Just take it a day at a time :)
