I've been drinking them since before I found out about being pregnant and all through the pregnancy. 9 months in now and baby is doing just fine, as am I.

I am 29 days away from my due date!!! To be honest, I was completely devastated when the Doctor came back into the room and told me I was pregnant... I had lost 66lbs and I was so motivated to keep it going. I literally cried for 3 days, didn't go to work, just had a complete pity party for myself. I'm excited now, but it…

Personal: ____________, I love you like crazy, but can you at least give me a warm up first! Professional: _____________, stop eating straight from the vending machine then whining about your blood sugar being in the 300's... OH and STOP flossing your freaking teeth in our office!! That seriously makes me gag, do you not…

You've come to a great place to start... lots of great people with great advice here! If you enjoy the forums there are really helpful posts and posts full of crap too  so beware of that also!! Really though this is a great place. I started January of last year and have learned SO MUCH from others and about myself…

Missing me some Jon Snow....

Bumping!! So freaking excited for Season 6!!

For me... this was a lot of self reflection. I would log everything I ate, and just look at the calories or the amount of fat I was putting in my body and try to figure out why I thought I needed that much... or what it did or didn't do for me. Then I forced myself to eat higher protein and fiber foods.... I didn't feel…

Sounds like you just need to experiment with different foods and see what you like... For me, a high protein breakfast is a must... then you might be able to skip lunch and make it to dinner with a small snack. High protein foods... Greek Yogurt, lower fat cheeses, lunch meat, beans... I like special K protein bars but I…

Most Doctors will tell you to add 300 calories to your "normal" So when I told her that I was eating around 1500 to 1800 calories depending on how much I worked out she said "Go with 2000 calories, this should be plenty for the baby to be nourished and for you to not gain an excessive amount." When I first found out I had…

LOVE my sweet and creamy coffee.... This year of losing I've just fit it into my calories because like you say that is my one indulgence in the morning and I absolutely love it. I did try a fat free creamer, it didn't sit well with my tummy though and I don't like the yucky fake sugar taste so I don't even try the sugar…

This.... plus like others have said it means my body is working just as it should... Yes there are factors that absolutely suck and its not the most fun I've ever had but I actually look forward to mine when its days away. That's my only release, emotionally I am a complete mess... always started some stupid irrational…

I received a Charge for Mothers day and would difinately buy it for myself twice over if anything happened to it... I don't so much care about the sleep tracker or the stairs (seeing as it goes off altitude so if you drive up and down hills it will count them as stairs climbed) but the steps, calories burned, and active…

I believe this.... After forcing myself not to eat until I am at the point of feeling weak I do feel like I have found my "internal off/on switch" It takes a lot of willpower to reprogram your brain and your stomach... not easy at all but I truly believe when you get to the point you want to be healthy MORE than you want…

Agreed... IMO fitbit is the best tracker out there... they all are going to have faults, just use it as it is intended and see how it works for you... after a month or two you decide to switch it up then fine but at least give it a shot the way its intended. I really love how my fitbit calculated my TDEE and helps me know…

Over Christmas holiday and NYE I ate foods that were way higher in sodium than I normally do... Carbs also and that causes my body to hold on to every last bit of water... I gained 8lbs but have last 6 of those 8 just from getting back to my normal high protein/high fiber foods.

This.... my brother... he hurt me a lot when we were kids and has never told our parents the truth which really kills me that my father believes him. My mother knows the truth and believes me 100% but my dad I feel has always favored his only boy (even though there is only 1 boy and 1 girl) Seeing my brother and my father…

This... after a year on MFP I've decided that everything counts, and if you think it doesn't you are really only cheating yourself. Everyone needs to let go sometimes though, that's what helps keep me in line. When I go out to eat or have a weekend that I just don't care what I eat I see it on the scale on Monday! Get back…

Totally get you when it comes to Veggies... the only ones I like don't do much for the body. I do like V8 though and that helps. Like others have said it is all in the way you prepare them, even then though I still have to force myself to eat them so I've resorted to still making the veggies at meal time because my BF and…

Had to quit also, not for reasons regarding my eating habits but being pregnant. Guess the way I see it is that I control it... not it controlling me ( just like bigplantnerd said) so as long as I have an handle on it, and my responsibilities are met it isn't a problem.

Like others have said... substitutions are your friend... if you are honest with yourself it can work. If I were you... I'd not change a thing about the way I eat and only log. Logging will show you how much you are actually taking in, then find your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and this will show you how much you…

I'd be worried about taking it off my clothes and not putting it through the washer!! I have a fit bit Charge, got it for mothers day and I would totally buy it for myself TWICE. I absolutely love it, yes at times it might not be the most accurate thing but its the next best and it really challenges me to get off my butt!…

I've drank protein shakes ever since I started going to the gym and losing weight. I try not to do more than 1 a day just because I know its not something I'm going to continue to do my whole life... meaning I must find a way to eat that provides me with the nutrition I need. That said I have tried a lot of different ones,…

What crossfreddy said... some people just enjoy complaining... some people complain because they can't do it themselves... Sounds to me like you did what was polite by apologizing, I sure wouldn't apologize any more after that though. I might smile at her and ask if she wanted to race? :D

At the OBGYN's office... hearing my baby's heartbeat.

All of these things... I try really hard to stay on a protein rich diet, 30% protein, 20% fat and 50% carbs. This keeps my belly feeling full so much that after I've eaten my planned meal I wouldn't even desire anything else. (except a sugary full of fat coffee drink... and even then I've found a protein shake flavored…

This... almost exactly. When I first started I weighed only once a week, then started weighing every day I went to the gym until it was a daily thing. Like others have said I like to see the fluctuations because then I start to understand how certain foods effect my body.

Lost 66 lbs then got pregnant! Okay so at 8 and 1/2 months I am starting to get excited about it and VERY excited to be able to workout and make myself so proud of the hard work I put in. By Christmas of 2016 I just might have enough confidence to post a full body picture on here!
