TMI My husband has IBS and works full time. Regarding TP, well, let's just say when he's home there's a considerable difference in usage 😄

Our NextDoor is a weird mix of BrentwoodStrong (our community online center for those who need help and those who have help to give) and community service announcements along with vulger rants blaming the current situation on political leaders on both sides, or 5G towers, or international plots to destroy America, or…

Sigh https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/04/mlm-sellers-asking-for-donations-for-health-workers-marketing-ploy.html Some MLMs are soliciting money from consumers so sellers can donate products to healthcare workers. Because everyone risking their life in the front lines would rather have cosmetics and candles instead of a mask 😡

Thanks for this thread everyone 😊 I'm trying to limit my news exposure due to anxiety provoking click bait and I'm finding I can get all the information I need here along with thoughtful discussion and interesting articles to read. So far no cases in my little San Francisco bay area city, but there are cases in the north…

Thanks for the link - I'm going to sit down and enjoy the read this afternoon 😊 I'm a rule-follower too, and tend to think in terms of how my behavior might adversely affect other people. I think I'm taking some of this community disrespect personally and I really need to let that go. I have enough stress in life right now…

I am honestly disgusted with some people in my community. The grocery store parking lots are littered with disposable gloves, people are just stripping them off and dropping them wherever. There's dog poop on the sidewalks, and cars and trucks zooming down residential streets running stop signs and red lights. This is a…

We're in the middle of a thunderstorm so all the chalk drawings will be gone when it clears up. 😔 Our little city population 60,000 just had to close all the parks, picnic areas and playgrounds because people just couldn't not gather in groups (and not just teens). I don't get it, I really don't. Most people have to risk…

This morning my younger grandson's daycare teachers started zooming an hour of activities for the kids every morning! My daughter and SIL who are trying to work from home are sincerely grateful 😊

Our little city is doing chalk drawings on the sidewalks. Some of them are very elaborate and fun to look at while out walking 😊

Hugs! At this point, there have been reports of coronavirus patients having pretty much any symptom you can think of. Sort of like googling for cancer signs (don't). I wonder how many of those symptoms were from the patient having a mild cold or stomach bug when they got sick. I have bad allergies. If I were to get the…

Thanks, that was a really good read 😊

I'm in shock at the number of reported cases in New York (over 29,000), and I believe the number of new cases is doubling every three days. The state with the next highest numbers (NJ) has less than 2900. I don't know if NY is a special case or if we'll see this happening in other densely populated areas. Are they doing…

Because nothing is more reassuring to your constituents than the idea that they brought this pandemic on themselves 🙄 State Rep proposes controversial 'Day of Humiliation' in PA amid coronavirus pandemic. The resolution has sparked reactions from other state lawmakers such as Rep. Kevin Boyle, who took to Twitter saying,…

Yes. This is one person making a statement in a vacuum based on speculation on how NSAIDS might interact with the virus in the lungs.

Right? And Poe was a master at creepy imagery!

Thanks! And yeah, if I botch it, it's not like the fashion police are coming for me 😄

I'm going to have to go for it and cut my bangs pretty soon. I did it routinely when I was younger but it's been years. I'm not optimistic.

If you really want nightmares, re-read Edgar Allen Poe's short story "The Masque of the Red Death". 😄
-
If, through the dedication of our healthcare professionals and sufficient numbers of people keeping physical distance we are able to come out of this with a relatively low death rate, we will be stuck with those idiots overrunning social media with insufferable "we're so smart we knew everyone was overreacting!!" posts.…

In other shocking news (/s) https://www.nydailynews.com/coronavirus/ny-coronavirus-university-tampa-florida-spring-break-student-20200322-f5dcdh7cb5gi3jzzubu3nbgmri-story.html I wish this development would cause people to see the direct cause and effect of exposing themselves unnecessarily to risk of infection, but I'm not…

OMG! I saw he was infected and expect we'll see more simply because political figures have contact with so many different people. I'm appalled at the irresponsible behavior - others who have been exposed (let alone waiting on test results) have done the right thing and isolated themselves.

I wish there was a sad button 😔

The CA bay area is a hot spot right now, but the beaches were still crowded yesterday. I honestly wonder if people think they can't get infected if they're outdoors?
-
There's 4 of them, 2 adults and 2 kids. I didn't mean to imply they've had to use rags every other day, most of the time they're able to conserve well enough to make it to the next purchase but they've fallen short a few times.
-
I have to say I don't understand why anyone would take their family on a plane with potentially infected fellow passengers, and risk not being able to return home?
-
The usual oblivious flaunting of social distancing laws and mindless hoarding. My daughter and SIL live in a tiny appartment there with a sick 2 year old and a stressed out 7 year old. Every day my SIL goes out as soon as the stores open looking for TP. Some days he scores a couple of rolls. Some days they use rags.…

Rumor going around that CA will start a voucher system for allowing people to go outside. Seems extremely unlikely and not a hint of anything like it in the news. But... I wouldn't be surprised if there is a tightening of rules, maybe a curfew and perhaps restrictions for shopping and entering other establishments.…

You need a neon yellow sash that screams "PRIORITY!! SHOPPING FOR TEENAGERS" 😂

This Danish supermarket has a solution for hoarding 😄 https://www.boredpanda.com/danish-supermarket-stop-hoarding-hand-sanitizer/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic Not really practical in real life where nobody is forced to wear a badge of shame proclaiming "HOARDER!" while others are able to shop…
