Honestly this sounds like my depression. I started a new antidepressant 2 months ago and about 3 weeks into it I could not stay awake. I'm talking sleeping 10-12 hrs a night and still taking a 3hr nap during the day. I had to stop that medication and my doctor ran blood tests and told me everything was fine. It's 2 weeks…

This is one of the best ideas I have ever heard! I would love to do this. However, money is already tight for me so I will have to.reward myself with $2 per pound. Maybe at the end I will have enough for a treat for myself (like a day with no kids and a massage ;) )

I would like to join please, I lost 25lbs a little over a year ago and have fallen off the wagon but have kept the weight off. I need some accountability to help me continue on my journey. :)

I'm not going to tell you that your strategy won't work for you, but it would never work for me. I have found recently that when I use negative things it damages me more. Instead of telling myself I will no longer have ice cream, I change it to something that is positive and an I will. For example I will work out for 45…

Full time student, work part time, and single mom to 2boys under 5! Feel free to add me.

I think it depends on the machine. I have a treadmill that I'm using to do the C25k app workouts on which doesn't allow me to input any info, or measure my heart rate. It always gives me higher number of calories burned than MFP does for the same workout.

My advice would be start with a salad and I've found those scooping spoons (for rice or anything) to be around a half cup. Just use good judgement, and remember that just because its an all you can eat buffet doesn't mean you have to stuff yourself.

I'd like to join as well. I've fallen off the wagon for the past month+ and need to get back into my good decision making mode!

At the doctors office they have to have the scales calibrated on a regular basis, so if you weigh more there your personal scale is the one that is off.

I'm 26 and a single mother of 2 boys , as well as a full time student. I've been on MFP for a few months now but the past month has been tough for me. SW(6mos ago): 187 CW: 168 Goal: Not sure, when I feel better with my health. ANYBODY FEEL FREE TO ADD ME! I need more friends and support, and am willing to give the same to…

I'm also a college student. I've lost 20 lbs since the school year started in the fall, but haven't been doing great lately. To help motivate myself I bought new running shoes and signed up for my first 5k! :)

I recently had this conversation with a girl in my exercise science class. Personally, I would rather go see someone who understands my struggle and has gone through it themselves. I don't want advice from someone who has been 100 pounds her whole life and cannot relate to my issues. But that's just me. That being said as…

I was diagnosed at 16 and I'm now 26. Metformin helped me a little with weight because I had to reduce sugar intake or be best buddies with the toilet. Also my endocrinologist kept telling me to have max 50 carbs a day. Yeah, never going to happen unless im looking for an excuse to commit a murder. no idea what changed in…

That has been my whole week. I feel like crap and want to cry.I can't seem to get back to healthy choices :(

You all kill me. This conversation just made my day!

My weight dropped 5 pounds in 24 hours this week. This is how my weight has always changed. It will be the same for a couple weeka and then all of a sudden its a jump. Doesn't matter if its going up or down. And its not water weight for me because it stays the same. Everybody is different.

I'm 5'4" and have 1630 calories a day. Your height and race are not what your calorie needs are based off from. Also I'm a single mom of 2 toddlers and a full time student and I have to drive approximately 500 miles a week just to go to school. So your excuses that youre a 5'5" Asian and a student are just that,…

I was on Metformin for about 10 years. In the beginning I had horrible stomach pains and diarrhea multiple times a day. ESPECIALLY if I had anything that contained a lit of sugar. Alcohol is the absolute worst! I was never able to drink anything alcohol unless I wanted to spend quality time with the toilet.

Forget the number on the scale right now. Inches are a better indication of progress. I can step on the scale in the morning and again in the evening and be up 8 pounds by the end of the day. I have the opposite of what you're describing, I've lost weight but only 1 inch. I'm not sure how that is possible since I've lost…

This has happened to me a few times. I asked a professor of mine who is a naturopath doctor and he told me his summation is that the extra calories gave my metabolism a boost. Is that accurate? No idea, but it's the only answer I've ever been given.

I agree with using caution when it comes to the naked drinks. When I first discovered them I would have one every day and I needed up gaining 5 pounds in a couple weeks. They are marketed as healthy and I guess they are compared to something like soda, but they lack the fiber to fill you that the fruit and vegetables…

Fat cells never go away. They shrink, but once they're formed theyre there forever. I guess the exception would be if you had a procedure like lipo done, then you lose fat cells. Drink all the water you like...but you will still have the fat.

I have the same issue with my 14 month old. I will lay on the floor to do crunches and he climbs on my chest or try to do jumping Jacks and he walks up to me and trys to grab my legs. I feel mean because I tell him no but I need 30 minutes to myself.

I log it under general circuit training for 25 minutes. Just remember that the reality is about half of the number that MFP gives you for calories burned.
-
I'm currently working on it. I use the free videos on YouTube. Between that and tracking and logging for about 3 weeks I have lost 6 pounds. I don't know my inches lost current because I'm waiting to reach the end to check. It all depends on how much effort you put into it.

Feel free to add me, I was diagnosed a decade ago when I was a teen. I've was on metformin but no longer need it but I still take spironolactone for help with the hair. Do you see an Endocrinologist? I do. She's the one who helps me with the diet I'm supposed to follow and my prescriptions. An OB/GYN is not a specialist in…

I would like to join. I have 30 to lose to reach a healthy weight, and I am the maid of honor for my sister's wedding in July!

I completed one in mid December that started in the end of august. I haven't ever been a regular exerciser. When I started I wasn't doing any exercise. It will push you. But I haven't slowed down since!

I took Metformin for about 10 years (except during my 2 pregnancies) it was 1000mg of XR. It never made me tired. I did have diarrhea at first while my body was adjusting and my dose was slowly increased. Also like a couple others have mentioned this medication is supposed to help you with your blood sugar and insulin! If…
