Congratulations on your weight loss! As you get older, some of those little pockets of fat get more and more stubborn, stomach and outer thighs seem to be typical problem areas. I think you look great! You could try building some muscle tone with different workouts. Pilates is great for the core area~

I'm 51 and I totally feel that way. Not only do I have to be perfect with my tracking I have to be careful about what I eat as well! Certain foods seem to make it so I don't lose anything! I lost 30 lbs last year at 1200 calories a day, I've gained some back and am now trying 1400 calories a day and lots of exercise. It…

I remember a ww leader back in the day saying she had totaled all of the samples available at Costco in one visit and it was 22 points! Back then, my total daily points allowed were 26. That has made me much more choosy about samples!

track everything you eat, drink lots of water, find those foods you like that are lower calorie and enjoy them! Splurge on fruits and veggies that you sometimes don't buy because of cost...those are low cal and worth it! Don't get discouraged if you feel attacked on the message boards...everyone has the same goal (good…

you have to find the sweet spot that works for you. I rarely eat back any exercise calories...but I will if I have an occasion too. Hubby and I are going out to dinner tonight, we are planning on a long walk before hand to "earn" a few extra calories to enjoy at dinner! I definitely believe that we underestimate the…

Welcome! Enjoy exploring MFP!

People always feel the need to judge. It sounds like what you are doing is working well for you. You are providing healthy options for yourself and saving money along the way! I don't believe all of the nutrients are lost when you prep ahead of time, but that is purely an opinion. I think if you are doing something that…

I buy the flash frozen varieties at Costco all of the time! Even some of the pre-seasoned ones are not too bad calorie wise (the pesto tilapia is awesome!). I will typically follow the cooking directions on the bag...add some lemon, salt and pepper and enjoy! It is also good with Teriyaki sauce (small amount) if you have…

Nice work! Congratulations on your success!

I try and not have cheat meals but try to plan and budget calories for those times I know I'm going to indulge. Of course there have been times (sometimes too many) when I have over indulged. Yes, I feel guilty and sometimes don't physically feel good. My body doesn't like it if I have something too fatty after eating…

Congratulations you look amazing! I know it's from hard work and discipline! I hope you feel as great as you look!

I'm an empty nester (sort of) and love it. I say sort of bc my oldest graduated from college and is living at home again to save some money. I love him, but I love the empty nest! Things that are awesome...granted I have an awesome husband who supports all of the below! Go to the gym anytime...what used to be dinner time…

One of my favorite meals is a taco salad. I lighten up my taco meat (I choose ground turkey or chicken usually) by sauteeing onions and peppers with the meat and then adding a can of black beans with the taco seasoning. Having just that over a bowl of lettuce is yummy! You can add whatever you want depending on the…

Welcome back! You are not alone, there are many of us who have come and gone. While losing the weight is hard, I think keeping it off must be the most difficult! You've been successful before, you can do it again! I look forward to following your journey!

Can't decide...maybe lettuce wraps (cooked ground chicken, celery, mushrooms in a little teriyaki) OR Chicken breast and an apple. not sure how ambitious I feel!

Woo-Hoo! confetti cannon definitely earned!

Um, not to be totally naïve here but if it is that hard to give up the drinking is it not a problem? I know I have a problem with chocolate personally. Alcohol I can take or leave!

Nice work! It's so great to see your hard work has paid off!

buy cheap at this point...not sure where you live and what your options are but stores like old navy, TJ Max, Marshalls, target and sale racks pretty much everywhere are good options for some basics to carry you through your journey!

We so need a "like" button!

My everything do not like burpees....I have to step back one leg at a time as well
-
I'm doing the same thing...trying to get away from artificial sweeteners. I like soda water occasionally and black iced tea unsweetened. I told myself I could have diet coke on the weekends, but so far haven't had it at all. (it's only been a week). :pensive:

Have been doing Pilates for years...weight has gone up and down in that time. the weight changes due to calorie deficit (or not). Pilates is great for posture, muscle tone and core strength...keep it up, but keep your calories at a deficit!

make sure kitty isn't deprived of his favorites...could lead to a binge!

I use the elliptical and the rower as my main gym cardio. I suffer through the stair master and a bike occasionally.

Congratulations! Nice to know some real relationships are formed here!

Chocolate, Chips, Cheese....those are the 3C's I work to give up or have only in moderation! I like your 3 C's better...no moderation necessary! :)

I've been doing fun cardio workouts with a friend. We have been doing different short times...Row 2000 meters (approximately 11 minutes), stairs 6 minutes, 10-15 minutes elliptical, and walk/run a mile. It keeps it interesting and doable! sometimes we will do some weights in between our cardio.

Same here....started on it again today after an absence...I've gained some back and need to get moving in the right direction!

adding too many veggies too quickly can definitely make you and those around you uncomfortable! It does get better with time though...you could try adding them in slowly, like adding an additional veggie serving a day. Personally I would probably just bite the bullet and wait out the stomach problems!
