As others have mentioned, protein powder. I use a whey isolate on workout days especially which packs 60 grams of protein and only 260 calories. You get used to the taste. Even eating lean meats all day (chicken & turkey mostly), I have a hard time hitting my macros.

The best way to do that in this type of forum is by including a quote :)

Feel free to add me as well. I'm on here several times each day and my diary is open to friends as well.

Personal opinion, take it or leave it... I think you should definitely introduce some weight training into your routine, 3 days per week would be plenty. Maybe give the cardio a break for a while (30 days). I've seen plateaus hit like this when people over-train and under-eat. Make sure you're getting enough protein and…

I highly recommend Stronglifts 5x5 for novice strength training. It's a great 12 week program and you'll see a huge difference in your abilities in that short period of time. There are plenty of others out there as well, but I know this one has been around for a long time and has been proven to be highly effective over the…

I'm not really into comics, but I love the Marvel movies. I'm a die-hard tabletop game fan. Pathfinder, Catan, Dominion, just to name a few.

Hi and welcome!

I seriously just killed of a 1094 calorie Jimmy Johns sub for lunch... It was soooo good, but I feel really guilty about it.

It definitely helps with focus and concentration, you also expel a lot of energy and in most dojos - you can take out all of your anger an frustration on the punching bag. I was into some pretty bad stuff when I started at 14 and it completely changed/saved my life! I can't say enough good things about the art! Yeah - I've…

Anytime! Let me know if you find one that you're interested in. I'd be more than happy to provide any info I may have. I've been in the Karate world for 21 years now and I've met a lot of people. I'm in Indianapolis, but used to travel for competitions quite regularly, so I've met people from schools all over this region…

One more thought - it's a good idea to find a school that has some sort of professional affiliation, not that it's always necessary, but schools that are associated with professional organizations are typically held to some sort of standard. I just did a quick search and found a few schools in your area that are affiliated…

Just Do It! Seriously, if the dojo is a decent size, you won't be the only adult in a beginner's class, and most dojos will have separate adult and children classes. I had one student that was 76 when she started training, and has since made it to her 3rd degree black belt. I had several adults in their 40's and 50's came…

Insanity is great for weight loss and toning muscle. It would be very difficult to gain weight during the program. However - if you're looking for a great way to improve stamina, strength, and overall fitness level - then it's a wonderful program to use! I love Insanity, but I'm not looking to gain, just trying to feel…

I always ran 5 miles every day, and did for 3 years without any problems at all. I loved it and it was the perfect start to my day. Just listen to your body. If you need a rest - take a rest.

I get that way if I eat anything before I work out. I always make sure to wait at least 4-5 hours after eating before I do any kind of workout. I've always been this way.

Funny - I was going to say steroids... I've known a few guys that have abused steroids - I've noticed that they always get this same "look" in their facial features, and it seems like their skin always has a reddish tint too - like they always have a slight sunburn... I don't quite understand the appeal personally.
