Spot reducing is definitely a myth... Because spot increasing is! :p Good info here!

I've gone off track many times! And it's super hard to restart and get motivated again. The biggest reason I pull myself back is because I KNOW I feel so much better when I take care of myself. It helps me mentally, physically, and can even help spiritually (if it's you're thing). Just start. And don't beat yourself up if…

Hello! Logging definitely keeps me disciplined :)

Saw your other post.. welcome! You are much stronger than the alcohol itch! Stay positive!!

I just recently saw an MFP user post the saying... Comparison is a thief of joy. So true, in many instances!

I couldn't agree more!

You are NEVER too old to get in shape! I went through the same feeling, like screw it, I'm 39.. I have nobody to impress, blah, blah. Then something just clicked.. I actually like feeling stronger and healthier much more so than out of shape and inudging in fast food and alcohol. Pros- •Mental health improves. •Ability to…

Yes! Awesome! B) Let's do it today too!

Exactly Avocado! All those difficulties aside, I'm actually, for the first time, content with being single! (perhaps because I have no time or energy?!) ;) :D

Hi!! Great work so far!! Keep it going!

Gorgeous collage!! I love it! Thank you for sharing..

I also get bored easily. I can't do the same monotonous routine each day. There are many apps, and as others said, YouTube videos, or classes you could take. Hope you find something that works!

Sounds similar to a smoker or drinker who'd like to stop and become healthier but the overwhelming idea of it all discourages them, and having a defeatist attitude only adds weight to it all. @k8eekins touched on this earlier. In the end, you have to be ready and really want to commit yourself to making the changes.…

I think you look great! For a few months it's a big difference! What's the time frame between the before and after shots? Maybe continue working the same amount of time and do another photo shoot. If you're still at a stalemate then consider looking closer at your calories, or switching up your routine. Don't get…

Sounds exactly like me!! I work 6 nights a week, and suffer from sleep deprivation. It makes getting motivated SUPER difficult. I've also been back and forth (several times) with eating better and being fit, to just letting it all go. As difficult as it is, you can do it! Start small. Even if you can't get into an exercise…

Sounds like MANY people :D Perhaps she has some insecurities. Don't let that deter you from doing something that makes you feel accomplished and motivated. It's your Instagram. She should ufollow you if it bothers her.

Along with all the other great advice, I'd add that perhaps you are building some muscle which may be why it seems you aren't losing weight yet . And how is your diet as far as sodium intake? I've seen other's struggle with losing extra weight and working out at the same time, depending on their situation.

Sometimes I just get tired of the same routine, although yours seemed packed with variety! Perhaps you need a reset, and switch to something different?

I've done Insanity years back. Actually just started T25 about a week ago. Didn't realize how out of shape I was, and my coordination sucks! :dizzy: :D Good luck!!

Days off are always harder for me to not drink because I tend to use it as a reward or treat for making it through 6 days (nights) of work. Then it would always spill into other days of the week. Let's ignore the "itch" today everyone! :)
-
It's like an itch inside your brain that you just want to sctratch. It does subside more as time goes on. I always try to focus on how I'll feel after scratching the alcohol itch. It never feels better.. only makes the itching come back worse. Ignoring it definitely lowers it's intensity each time. Keep up the self…

I do mostly bodyweight exercises, with occasional dumbells or small weights. I've used Just Dance, T25, Insanity, various apps, YouTube, or other circuit training programs to keep it new and different. You don't need equipment to excerice! ;)

I've been on many sides of it.. tracking with alcohol and without, Not tracking with and without. I honestly feel my best tracking without the drinks. It really is a waste of calories that usually lead to more eating for me. Plus my body has to flush out the toxins, and I always feel worse because of that. I could make…

I have also been in a similar relatioship and situation. We must put ourselves first! We are definitely worth it! :) And all those drinks are just empty calories and don't make us feel well in the end. ;)

Found this thread fitting for me today since I had a fun size PB snickers. Glad I was doing T25 to burn it off.. lol! .. Oh and I use estimation as well with calorie and excersize inputs. It works for me.

A great lookin group of people here! ! And brave! ;)

Great work!! It's amazing what you have accomplished with limitations. I know first hand that self confidence doesn't always come from the scale or a mirror.. or the amount of likes on social media. It comes from within. Believe in who you are, love yourself, and don't worry about what anyone else thinks! ;)

I am also close to 40 and wanting to lose 10-15 pounds. More so though, I want to feel stronger and healthier. This app has always helped me stay on track before. Even small changes can make a big difference. Like cutting out soda, alcohol, or chips, or parking further away when you go places, taking the dog on an extra…
