  • I check this thread every day for motivation - you guys are ALL amazing and should be so proud of your achievements. You keep me on track when this gets hard. :)
  • Went shopping last night. AGAIN! Now in a nz s10 (us s6?) bottoms. And I found some amazingly awesome work pants that fit in all the right places AND were long enough (Im 5'9" and pants are never long enough!) I haven't been a size 10 since I was a uni student 15 years ago! I started this process as a tight nz s20, so…
  • I'm glad you have got past it! It's still a struggle for me. This week is a rest week in my training plan, so I'm still working out but at a lower intensity. I'm finding it hard to do that! Its good to hear other people are dealing with these feelings too - and winning!
  • Holy moly, you look fabulous! Great work - it's hard to believe it's the same person!
  • Maybe it's the same amount of hair spread over a smaller surface area? In which case, take it as a win, and if it bothers you too much, treat yourself to a wax ;)
  • Running is so awesome for weight loss! Congrats on all your hard work, you are looking great! The difference is amazing :)
  • Having someone who understands and supports you makes all the difference. great work both of you - and keep it up!
  • Amazing change, all your hard work has obviously paid off, you look great :)
  • I hit 100 days logging today :) I also went to the pool before work, and managed to drag my husband with me! And he enjoyed it (even though he was disappointed he had lost some form from the last time he swam...15 years ago!) :o
  • That is so awesome! :D
  • Yep, I had the same reaction and wanted to bawl my eyes out AND hug the shop assistant when I could fit into a size L in a regular store. Great nsv - just beware it might turn you into a total shopping addict >:)
  • Wow. Just wow! I would not even pick you as the same person. You look so much younger - and happier. Congratulations, you are an inspiration :)
  • Yep, but I'll take a few wrinkles over a double chin any day :)
  • I had to get my glasses adjusted because they kept falling off my face!
  • This is UH-MAZING!!! you look stunning, you should be so proud of your achievement. This is my inspiration to push for goal and get rid of those last 6kgs!

  • That's a great victory, congratulations! Keep up the great work :)
  • My recent NSVs - I went to the pool last night and swam for 70min and did over 2km in total. I only went to the pool for the first time in years on Sunday, so I was pretty pleased with last night's effort. Nice to know that my running fitness is transferable! - Someone at work told me my change had inspired them to start…
  • I bought a new swimsuit at the weekend and went to the pool for the first time in years. I want to use swimming to tone up my arms and shoulders. I managed a 45min session very slowly with lots of breaks, but it felt great even if my arms and back are a little achy. Going back tomorrow and want to build up enough strength…
  • Awesome victory! Keep up the great work, I hope your May is truly magnificent :)
  • I have had to do some serious shopping lately to restock my wardrobe. Its awesome, and I am loving being able to find clothes that I fit in most stores I go into. However it's such an adjustment to try and just buy things I really love and make me feel great, rather than settling for anything that fits and looks 'passable'…
  • Yep, I got super excited about this too, and bought heaps. Although I've since dropped a couple of sizes so have had to give them away and go shopping again. It took so long just to get into regular sizes, I didn't expect to have to replace them so quickly.
  • [quote="derkin2005;32244424" Because your body now has much less "cushion" in certain areas [/quote] Can I just say your before/after pics show an amazing and really inspiring change.
  • Ok, so I just weighed myself and calculated my BMI, and as of today I am officially within my healthy weight range!!!!! :D I know this is kind of a scale related victory, but as someone who started off well into the obese category, this is a massive achievement for me and I needed to celebrate it with someome! And you are…
  • I had a similar experience this week. We had a directorate session which meant spending time with people we don't usually see/work with very often. A woman who has recently come back from maternity leave told me I looked like a totally different person compared to when we went away :D She also said she noticed I had…
  • I'm actually scared to hit my goal weight (33kgs down, only 7kgs to go!) because, while I know I can lose weight, I'm scared I won't be able to maintain it. I've lost weight before but it has always crept back on. I REALLY don't want to go back to where I was again as I've put so much effort into this. :/
  • I needed to go out for a run last night, but it was cold. So I dug out some old winter running tights that were too small when I bought them a year or two ago, and have never been worn. I tried them on and they fit ok, or so I thought, if a little loose around the waistband. But I just about lost my them on my first…
  • Yep, me too. I had a 3 day training course out of town earlier this month and I spent more time planning how I would fit in my daily workouts and manage my food than actually prepping for the course. And I nailed them both :)
  • *high five* :) I had a similar experience on Monday when I couldn't get out for my regular lunchtime run. I managed to get myself out for a 10k run at home after dark. And I averaged under 6mins/km for the first time. Soo glad I went. Now I just have to see if I can manage to do the same today. Stupid all-day meetings…
