Awesome NSV. I still struggle with that!

What a great NSV, definitely not minor at all! Keep up the good work! :)

Yep, I'm 5'9, and I was in my NZ size 20s for about 6 months despite steadily losing weight. But since hitting a 16 around Xmas (I kind of skipped 18s by safety pinning where necessary) I have burned through the sizes and am now down to a 12. which is awesome, but I kinda wish the 14s I bought thinking they'd last a few…

Wow. Congratulations on your amazing achievement! it's an amazing transformation, and I can see why your doctor didn't believe you! You do just look like a tall, slim man :) I agree with the self perception thing. The gradual change makes it so hard to see and mentally process the changes. I gave myself a shock the other…

What an amazing achievement, all your hard work is really showing!

I hit 32kgs lost this week also. yay us! :D *high five* My NSV is that I went shopping for some new clothes and actually enjoyed myself. Previously I would do anything to avoid walking into a clothes shop, especially 'trendy' stores (lol it makes me feel 100 years old writing that, but you know what I mean...). Nothing…

The scales didn't move this week, but my body fat % dipped below 30% (to 29.9%)! I know scales measuring bf aren't super accurate, but I'll take that as progress and a sign of recomposition rather than plateau :D

Sorry, my phone got a bit overexcited and posted some nonsense - I wasn't implying that I was sleeping!

Yay for you! I bought a new winter coat last week. I have been without one for years as I didn't want to buy one at my old size. I am so glad I did - the Antarctic winds in Wellington this week cut to the bone! So much for Autumn, we went straight to winter. :( My NSV is that despite how cold it is, I still went out for my…

I totally do this too and accidentally add 20kgs!!! I could hardly believe it when I was in the 80s, my brain literally can't comprehend the 70s.

I've noticed that while my female friends will say "you've lost lots of weight" my male friends say "you look well". Which is kind of adorable cos I figure they a) think it's rude to discuss a woman's weight so directly, and b) don't want to sound like they're hitting on me by saying I look "good". I think it's sweet :)

I needed to hear this today. It's 5.30am and my alarm has just gone off and I was looking for motivation to get out of bed and I onto my bike for an hour. It's my only chance to fit in exercise today, so thanks for the motivation :)

It's really hard! But maybe there are some things that are safer to buy than others... I went shopping yesterday because my wardrobe is pretty much empty these days. I still won't buy trousers because my thighs and belly still have a more to lose and they wouldn't fit for long. But I will buy skirts that aren't too pricey…

My husband came home yesterday and said he had just been in a meeting with a woman about my size before I started losing weight and that the difference to me now was really stark in comparison and that I looked amazing :) I guess it's not just my brain that needs to catch up with my body! And also that the new gym gear I…

My face shape is changing - and from the right angle I can see a little definition from my cheek bones! Who knew I had those!? :D

Yup. Why do stores only stock petite and regular length jeans for women? Men usually get tall/long jeans, why not us?! Drives me crazy.
-
If I stand up straight with feet hip width apart, there is a gap between my thighs ALL THE WAY UP! A small gap at the top, but a gap nonetheless :D

I rode my bike to a friend's place yesterday instead of driving. I had it in top gear most of the way, which is new and shows I am getting stronger. It wasn't a long ride, but I didn't arrive all sweaty like I would have done before, which was awesome and meant I could ride in my street clothes rather than gym gear and…

This! I initially just wanted to hit my healthy weight range. I'm about 4kg away from that goal now, but can see that I will need to lose a bit more to get rid of the thigh and belly bulges that I hate! I used to look at people and think 'if I was as slim as them I would be happy'. Now I'm probably slimmer than those…

How different my body looks and feels on my bike. I can now comfortably get down into the drops because my belly isn't in the way. Also, the inside of my thighs no longer hit the top bar as I cycle. Last night I couldn't stop staring at my hips while cycling (indoors!) and the way my body curves smoothly from thigh to hip…

Instead of doing my usual run on the flat, today I did my first hill run and totally rocked it!
-
awesome nsv! one day I will be able to do that too! My nsv is that I ran 9.5km today - my longest run in years. Was hard, windy and my legs were tired, but I did it. On track for my half marathon in July!
-
I have had a really long and stressful week at work. I haven't managed to get out for my regular lunchtime runs at all - my running gear has sat unused taunting me from under my desk since Monday. But I have ridden my bike on my indoor trainer each night instead, even if it meant I finished riding at 11pm. And I kept in my…

Today I went out for "coffee and cake" with my team at work and avoided all the calorific treats and had a peppermint tea instead. And I didn't spend the whole time wishing I was eating a donut!

I struggle with an irrational fear that if I miss a workout if I'm too tired or had to work late or something like that it will completely undo all the progress I have made and I will slip back into bad habits. the rational part of my brain knows it's nonsense and that sometimes you need an extra rest day, but it's still…

I'm 5'9.5" with size 10 feet. And I love being tall and 'amazonian'. Makes me feel strong

That it gets easier and easier to say no to food. I used to always say yes to any food I was offered, even if I wasn't hungry or didn't really want it. But now I am much more comfortable saying "no thanks".

I had to have a link taken out of my watch strap because it had got too loose. I've only had it for maybe 6 weeks! Also my size 18 jeans were too big and baggy to even be saved by a belt. I went to the shops and walked out with a size 12! Sure they have stretch to them and are a teeny bit more snug round the waist than I'd…

This was a real victory moment for me also. Congrats!
