Thanks, I think u r right, the barbell was in the wrong position. I think I had trouble balancing the barbell.

I think walterc advice may have been a typo then edited bc when I read it, it says focus on form before increasing weight and not what was quoted. Thanks for all the advice. My main worries was that not progressing meant not stimulating muscle growth and I was worried about imbalance if some lifts were much heavier than…

In my younger days (am 38 now) 3 times from strangers that I can recall. Otherwise nope. I am married but don't wear my ring because it gets in the way with 2 young kiddos so I can't be bothered.

I just made a protein shake with 1 banana, 1tsp Cocoa powder, 3tbsp whey protein powder, coconut water, ice. It was surprisingly good but a bit sweet for my taste so would prob go half a banana next time. I also like green smoothies with Apple, kale, date, water/coconut water.

Thanks for the replies, really appreciate it. I will drop back on the weights and concentrate on my form. I feel it wasn't good on some of the lifts because I could feel I using my lower back too much. My husband helps check my form but I think he gets a bit annoyed because he doesn't fully agree with the way Mehdi…

I can see in the sideways pic that your tummy looks smaller. Keep it up :)

Wow great job. I can see the difference in your tummy and hips. I will be starting Strong lifts soon too. Can I ask how you have been finding it so far? I must admit I feel a bit nervous about the heavy weights. I bought a second hand bar and weights and can barely pick the bar up!

Great job, well done! Really enjoyed reading your story.

Hi I am a newbie too. Just bought a squat rack, bench and barbell plus weights from eBay and can't wait to get started. I have a long way to go though bc I am skinny and wanting to build strength and muscles.

I am trying to gain muscles. I am 157cm and 49kg. Whenever I gain weight it goes straight to my tummy so I actually recently lost 2kg to lose some belly fat. Am now going to start lifting weights to try gain muscles. My plan is strong lifts 5x5 as I have read lots of recommendations on here. What are you girls doing?

I got rid of most of my smaller clothes and only kept a few favourites. Surprisingly I can fit back into a few now so am glad I kept them. I am deciding what to do with my now loose clothes. I like the pp idea of keeping one size up and one size down for fluctuations in weight.

Some things to try and reduce calories: - drink lots of water and tea (no added sugar) - substitute things like noodles and pasta for veggies such as zucchini noodles - try distract yourself with other activities to prevent eating from boredom

I turn to food during times of stress. Also don't sleep well and find myself reaching for sweets and chocolates to try and stay awake during the day.

Wow that's amazing! thanks for sharing, very inspiring.

I have done 2 days on level 3. But now I have pulled a muscle in my back and will need to rest. Am disappointed that I can't get back into for a few days.

I like jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Its on YouTube. It's around 20min and mix of cardio and strength training with Dumbbells and body weight.
-
Yes I believe it's 10 days at each level though of course you can adjust to what suits you and have rest days if needed.

I finished level 2 day 10 yesterday. Well deserved rest day today before starting level 3 tomorrow ! My clothes are fitting better already I have to use a belt on some of my pants. Eating better has helped too.

Well done, you look great! I really like your attitude to value yourself and look after your health and body. I am a mum to 2 kids and started exercising and eating better about 2 months ago. Hopefully I can share some pics in another months time as that was my goal to really see some change. So far I have lost 4 pounds…

3 days of level 2 done! The other exercise I am doing is 20 min of ab exercises to help my diastasis recti from 2 pregnancies. I also try to do 30min walking during my lunch breaks at work. I am seeing very slow changes in the fit of my clothes but I don't have much weight to lose so the slow and steady approach works for…

Well done! Your kids will benefit from this too :)

Wholefoodsimply.com is a website with lots of healthy yummy sweets. I love the coconut rough recipe.

A small amount of fruit usually does the trick for me eg lychees, cherries, date.

Completely agree with this.
