The honest answer is nothing works unless you put in the work...getting in the habit of inputting what you eat and not excluding items will help you make better choices down the line...

I had my right thyroid gland removed about 8 years ago...had a tumor on it that was turning into cancer... needless to say since then my weight has gone up and down and energy levels suck!!! Feeling tired and drained when I shouldn't has always bothered me...but several years ago writing all my food and proper exercise…

Personally, I never add my weight resistance because of that same issue...I only add the cardio and of course my meals...keeps me on my toes to stay under my daily calorie goal ^_^ Just a different way to trick your mind...hope that helps...just see the weights as a hidden BONUS!!!

Atkins has no carbs and you really need them for energy...as far as what I've read is that Atkins is recommended for older people...and essentially if you ween yourself off it you can balloon up one you introduce carbs...try tracking macros...

Just turned 30 today...been on it for the past week and have dropped 4 pounds already. Looking to gain health and drop an additional 45 pounds...more importantly go from 31% body fat to 12%...look forward to the support because that road gets lonely and tough without help...
