I'm in too! I am 5'5" Current Weight 142 Goal Weight 135 Due to back issues, I do a lot of walking and I also use a recumbent bike. Edited to add I started at 199 lbs last December and my BMI percentage according to MFP is now 23.7

Good morning and welcome! You are in the right place to find out lots of helpful info and people. This is a wonderful community!

You can do this! I am proof! I'm 47 and have lost 56 lbs. Eating in moderation, not depriving myself of what I want to eat as long as it's within my daily goal and getting up and moving/walking was key for me. Good luck!

I also tend to do this. It's just routine but I do try to switch it up as much as I can. Breakfast is normally oatmeal and lately I've been making all kinds of salads for lunch. I do change it up when I get bored with it though.

That's fantastic!! All your hard work paid off, congratulations on your loss!

Thank you! I started this journey in December of 2015, so 10 months. I'm not sure weather to put just the October weight in here or total so here's both. My weigh in today SW 199 (143 on 10/7) GW 135 TL 56 lbs (142.6 on 10/12) .4 since last weigh in. Some weeks I lose, others I remain the same...

I have a fitbit zip at the moment. It's pretty basic but does what it's supposed to. I'll be looking to upgrade to something with more options soon.
-
I've been doing it daily as well. I don't fret over the day to day fluctuations.

Hello there. Sent you a request.I am also looking for motivational friends and support. I am mid 40's myself so I know the struggle. I have about 20 lbs before I hit my goal.

That's terrific! Way to go!!

Thanks so much for all the helpful info everyone. Yes, I do have a scale as well as a measuring cup that I use. My family thinks it's so funny when I measure out simple things like coffee creamer and peanut butter, etc. but I don't care. I do what I have to do, right??!

Hello, i'm 47, married with kids. I've been loosing weight since last December. I joined this site a about 8 months ago but didn't start logging until recently. I am recovering from back surgery and walking as much as I can. I have a fitbit zip that I use to help track my steps. I could also use some support, anyone feel…

Honestly, I was so bad. I ate too much of whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. Lots of eating out, lots of fried foods, beer, chocolate, etc. I would sit down in front of the TV and snack all day long.
-
Did someone say Ding Dongs??! Chocolate is my weakness but you got this!!!! You can do it! Feel free to friend me if you like, I'm also trying to get some good motivation going.
-
I also work it in somehow. The other day I made sugar free chocolate pudding that hit the spot. You could also make a shake with that, some ice and fat free milk....I would be one unhappy miserable person without my chocolate!

Thank you, when I look at the goals section under calories burned/week it says 340. So that's not enough of a deficit then?

Oops, I went back to edit my original post but I am actually 5'5" so I'm 65" (I have a tendency to reverse my numbers) and female, thank you so much!
