No I train with my own headphones in.

What an *kitten*! I think you're probably right that if you were a 250lb guy, he wouldn't have done it. I think bullies avoid potentially dangerous confrontation, but will rush towards any confrontation that they don't think is dangerous and which makes them feel big. I'm glad you reported him. I hope they keep a closer…

Legs - back squat Chest - bench press Back - deadlift Arms - I don't know if there is a "best lift" for arms Shoulders - overhead press Any others? - something cardiovascular

Cool! After I experienced knee pain during a session I've had good experience getting rid of that pain by waiting, and foam rolling out the surrounding muscles. To stop the pain from returning, I've had good experience playing around to find the right stance for me. I squat with my feet about shoulder width apart these…

Are you a bodybuilder?

I just freaked myself out reading this post, googling and wondering if my shoulder problem was the same. Hopefully my physio thinks I'm an idiot when I ask him about this the next time I see him! Hope your shoulder recovers asap. Injuries are never fun, but I think worst of all when you want to cut.

OP, I find that I get DOMS when I miss a week at the gym. If you just miss one day, it might not be as bad as you think. Just make sure to squat on your next day.
-
You only have to take them off when you step onto the platform though, right? Might be worth trying getting psyched up, ripping your headphones off and immediately going for your lift.

It's a mindset. I get there with music. When I turn on something that's loud enough, fast enough and angry enough, all my negative thoughts disappear. It's like there's not enough room in my head for the music and the negative thoughts at the same time, or as if the negative thoughts can only exist while you're focusing on…

I've built my thighs a lot over the last few years from low bar back squats and deadlifts, and from eating enough to gain weight

I got better results when I: 1. put my eggs in the saucepan from the get-go, rather than waiting for the saucepan to boil, and then dropping the eggs in 2. dropped the eggs in cold water after. I don't think that change elimited the problem alltogether, but it did reduce how often it happened.

What are you actually looking to achieve by the way? Like, what is your goal? Get strong, get big, whatever.

Zercher squats are so cool, I've watched a bunch of Eric Bugenhagen videos of him zerchering ridiculous weights. Did you teach yourself with videos, or did you have a trainer?

I really like FitNotes for my android phone. I hated tracking exercises on MFP, although I can't remember why (I swapped to FitNotes years ago).

To put on muscle you need: 1. a good training program (https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you) 2. enough protein (say 0.8-1g per day per lb of body weight) 3. to consume more calories than you burn (track your calorie intake and weight fluctuations, adjust…

Another recommendation that you see a doctor that specialises in sports medicine. Someone with a focus on getting people healthy so that they can do their sport again.

You're offended by the commercial that has been reposted repeatedly in this thread?
-
I understand the whole "technically they're the same" argument. I just don't think anyone is reasonably offended or hurt by the PF commercial you posted above, and I think people would be reasonably offended or hurt by a commercial calling people fatties. And I think that matters. But that's just guesswork on my behalf, I…

"I'm happy to accept that making fun of someone for any reason is an *kitten* move" "I think we should all teach our kids not to make fun of other people for any reason. I think as adults we should follow that behaviour too." No one is. I never said someone was. @AnvilHead posted a hypothetical scenario about an…

I'm happy to accept that making fun of someone for any reason is an *kitten* move. But calling someone a lunk is not "just as" inappropriate and unacceptable as calling someone a fatty. Making fun of strong people with great bodies will never be as offensive, inappropriate or unacceptable as making fun of fat people. The…

Does it make you feel bad when people make fun of how strong you are and how big your muscles are?
-
There's a guy who trains at the same time as me, and we usually say hi. He has this overly complicated handshake, like a "Dylan you son of a *kitten*" followed by a fresh prince finger snapping thing. Then sometimes he'll fist bump. Honestly it's pretty stressful. Not 100% sure it qualifies though.

I walk 15 minutes to the gym, do some quick dynamic movements, and then warm up for squats by squatting, deadlifts by deadlifting, etc. Might not be appropriate if you're not going to spend the next 30 minutes on your first exercise.

Is your average weight going up or down?
-
1lb of fat is equivalent to approximately 3500 calories. Going a few hundred calories over or under daily maintenance will add up over time if you do it every day, but missing your target every once in a while by a few hundred will have no noticeable consequences.

On my last cut, I did end up losing strength. I can't remember when. I'm currently 4 weeks into a 7 week cut, down about 6lbs, and haven't lost any strength yet.

Herbalife is a multi-level marketing scheme. Never trust a Herbalife seller, many of them will tell you anything. How can you tell which ones are lying, and which are telling the truth? I agree you should eat more calorie dense foods (ie add peanut butter to your toast) and invest some money into seeing a qualified…

Lactose intolerance occurs because your body doesn't produce the lactase enzyme that is required to digest milk. So you supplement with lactase (it comes in an itsy bitsy pill) and you're good to go.
