You're right Snuggle, it is about priorities. I have started what I hope are life-long changes- not eating the kids leftovers, chomping on things as I make dinner, and settling for things everyone in the house will eat. The big picture is easy to forget but hopefully the day-to-day changes will add up to bigger…

Are you guys ready for the storm?

Welcome back. It's not easy so it's great to see you back at it.

Currently in Union Co but moving to Monmouth later in the year.

That is impressive tb (or do you prefer bunny? Or shy?). I think that I might get frustrated if I was at a long standstill so I think that it is amazing that you are sticking with it.

If you are using the app, which is somewhat limited, click the little star on the top right corner. That bookmarks it and lets you know when someone joins the discussion.

Hi. It Is harder to add friends using the app. What I do is type the username into the add friends part of the "more" menu and invite them manually. Using this site on my computer is much more user friendly but I am rarely in front of my computer at home. You are welcomed to try it with me: ljohnson216

Hello all. I have suffered from depression for years and am hopeful that a new regime of diet and exercise will help. I welcome new friends and am glad to be one too. Thanks for starting this discussion... What a great idea.

Count me in. I am 41 and also stuggle with parenting, work, and trying to establish a healthy lifestyle.

Hey. I am very similar... 41 yo, starting weight is 225 and working to get to 195. I am new so I may not have the best advice but I am looking to add a few friends too.

Wow Melissa, I could easily see myself writing the same thing. Time for some good selfishness. Count me in.

I don't know... I am a week and a half in but still a little crazy. It is hard being hungry throughout the day but worth it so far. Feel free to add me as a friend and maybe we can help one another. Good luck.

Hi Melinda, I am Larry and in NJ too. I am looking to lose 30+ pounds too. I am new and looking for a few friends too.

Hi. I'm a 41 year old dad of 2 and my first was a micro-preemie too (IUGR). I'm happy to add you as a friend. It's funny how we strive to reduce our calories as we need to push them on our kids. Yep, this is 40's.
-
Right there with you.

I couldn't agree more. I sadly became that parent that served chicken nuggets for dinner... And then became that parent that ate them.

Hi. I am new too (1 week in) and am looking to lose 30 pounds as well. Like you I want to be a healthy parent to my 2 kids too.

I am a middle school guidance counselor. Does that count? If so, I am interested in connecting with teachers and other school-related careers.

Hi. I am 41 and my initial goal is to lose 30. This is my first week trying this and welcome suggestions and advice. I have always tried to lose weight in the past by myself, so the group thing is a new experience. Thanks.
