Two scoops of Magnum's Quattro protein powder in Chocolate Love, with about a tsp and a half of Nescafe instant espresso powder...mixed in a shaker bottle usually but sometimes I'll blend it with some ice. It tastes like a cold mocha drink, is high in protein, low in fat and low in carbs. Definitely my goto in the morning…

This ALWAYS kills me - maki, nigiri...I don't even touch the tempura. Makes me so sad!! haha

I had bursitis in both hips after 6 days in Sweden; I was walking FAR more than I was used to. It took months for it to go away completely and I find my hip flexors are still quite tight. Stretching and yoga whenever you can handle it, and rest otherwise. If it's bad enough, you can get a cortisone shot (or similar) but…

There's a group on Facebook - the link is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1452506085063325/

Question for you folks. I stopped taking Saxenda for a time because I was stalled and going nowhere after weeks and weeks of no movement...I was extremely frustrated. Problem is, I'm an idiot and now have a pen that is nearly full and has been out of the fridge for over the 30 days. I know it should be tossed according to…

I think if you just continue to take it and fight through the fatigue, your body will eventually get used to it (same idea as if you were changing from a day shift to a night shift, or traveling...you have to give your body time to adjust, you know? :) ). A lot of us have had some pretty nutty nausea with it and we have to…

Thanks girl - I put in a request to join the first one you listed. Deleted my group. ;)

What are the two you belong belong to? I created it as I couldn't find any others... :\

Interested in what folks have to say. Following! :)

Hey all - Just created a facebook group for Saxenda Users. I thought it might be a good spot to get conversation going? It's set up as secret, so that no one can see that you're part of the group unless they are also in the group! I figured a lot of folks don't want the world knowing their business, so I have it locked up…

The 0.6mg dose is just to help you wean into it, so don't expect much change at that level. :) You should be increasing by 0.6mg weekly until you hit the 3.0mg dose (unless your doctor wants you to stop at a lower dose... I myself stayed at 2.4mg for nearly a month as I had a hard time adjusting to that dosage). Keep with…

Kudos, Deanna!!! You are not only a champion for your own health, but for any others that might find themselves in your position within your workplace. You've paved the way!! :)

Hmm... Well, I'll get an Rx and try it - if they deny it, I'll appeal it in writing....we'll see what happens. ;)
-
I am on PSHCP and I thought that was strange, too. The pharmacy (Costco) INSISTS that if I get an Rx, it'll be covered, though. I'll believe it when I see it. I haaaaate PSHCP. -_-

It's nice hey? I'm still fighting with wanting to eat from boredom, but Saxenda helps with that too (nausea and/or knowing I'll feel awful if I DO boredom eat). I've been at 2.4 for 5 days as of today, and I had to call in sick today... Up all night restless, then both horrible diarrhea and sour burps (near vomiting) this…

@azelizabeth If you inject into your thigh, it'll probably be easier/less painful if you do it on the top (ie: your lap) rather than on the sides where there's normally more fat. I can't do it on the sides...hurts too much. On the front of my legs though, I don't find a problem. :)

Yeah the full feeling and some nausea is all I really have to deal with. I'm down about 6.4lbs and 2 inches off my waist since starting on Dec 18th (I'm currently at 1.8mg). I could be losing faster if I amped up my exercise. Little by little, I'll get there! ;) ;) Any bruising at all at your injection sites? I always end…

It is a medication for those who are considered obese and are unable to lose weight with exercise and meal planning alone. https://www.saxenda.com/

I've taken mine at night (about 10pm when getting ready for bed) for the last two weeks and I've lost 5lbs and almost 2 inches off my waist. I'm at 1.2mg until Wednesday night when I go up to 1.8mg... So far, so good!

I have PCOS and Insulin Resistance as well. I started Saxenda on Dec 16th and have been lucky enough to lose 5lbs and almost 2 inches off my waist thus far (the latter being more exciting to me, where visceral fat is more dangerous than fat elsewhere). I'm on 1.2mg dose right now, going up to 1.8 this coming Wednesday…

Three doses of 0.6 in thus far; no real changes or side effects as of yet. A little nausea a few times, but thats not something unfamiliar to me so it may be completely unrelated. We'll see how it goes. **FYI to Canadian users: take a look at www.saxendacarecanada.ca and give them a call! They had me speak to a registered…

Finally got my prescription after a full 12 months of discussing it with my doctor, going through tests, allowing him time to research it and consult with my psych... Will be picking it up Wednesday. Any recommendations for how/when/where to take it? Assuming morning is better? With food? In your thigh or something? I've…

Hey April; we have a much more supportive thread going over here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/34089752 Lots of results on how other people are finding the medication as well, which I expect you'll find useful/helpful. :)

Uuuuhhhh??

Wondering if any of you are in Canada? Also, do you find Saxenda helps with boredom eating at all?
-
It's great to hear that it's working for you!! Make sure you DO eat, though...proper nutrition along with the Saxenda and exercise will make for a stronger, leaner, and healthier you. :) <3 What I'm truly concerned about in my case is the fact that even on Metformin - even when I'm not hungry - I still eat...boredom,…

I'm waiting for my health benefit provider to agree to approve me for Saxenda, now that it's been approved by Health Canada (our version of the FDA). I've been on metformin for a few years now, and it hasn't done much for me...might be keeping me at a level weight, but it's certainly not helping with the loss of excess…

5'10.5" here...115ish to go until I'm around my goal weight. I'm not a big fan of the BMI charts so I've chosen to go down to around 180 but LEAN and STRONG. Muscle weighs more than fat! :) Feel free to add me - I'm just starting on this journey so I need all the buds and support I can get! :)
-
Howdy! I'm also 27 and in the HRM, but I have a lot more to lose than you...over 100lbs. Nice to meet you!
