I am going to be traveling 1/10-12, so my participation may be a bit spotty those days. I will try to at least log my meals!

morenin Weigh in day- Sunday PW- 227.5 CW- 224

Not feeling well, so eating easy food and sleeping a lot instead of moving. Hopefully I can get back on track soon.

His name is Magellan! He is a major cuddle bug, but when he's not supervising his humans, he loves to poke his nose into anything and everything exploring! Yeah... As soon as I tried cutting down on sodium, and drinking more water, I immediately lost some. I guess sodium's a bigger problem than I thought. I weighed in…

Since everyone is showing adorable babies, here's the one trying to help me type right now! @trooworld Thanks for the site address, I will take a look! I definitely know my arch-enemy sodium is back; I dropped 1.5 lb. overnight, I assume retained water weight. One more thing to tweak in my diet.

@micaroo4 I'll pick up a scale, and see how I do. I'm working on 5 servings of non starchy produce a day, getting there slowly.

False! TNP has at least one cat.

I've turned off exercise calories, so perhaps that will help. I am honestly a little uncomfortable about using a kitchen scale to be utterly exact, because I have trouble seeing me doing it for the rest of my life. I'm also a bit worried my unhelpful brain will try to give me an eating disorder. I will think on it and…

I will set MFP to not track work outs, that may help! Water I'm trying to hit a good level on, 10 cups in one day was too much. I will keep trying!

I am aiming for 1200-1400 calories a week, starting this week. Last week I was eating 1600-1800. Theoretically, the higher amount should have been offset by the exercise I did last week, but it doesn't seem to have worked out that way. Beginning to wonder if I should get my metabolism checked somehow. I have hypothyroid,…

I'm starting to get frustrated. I've been eating consistently under my calories (by around 800-1000 calories a day) and increased my activity, and I've still somehow gained 4 lb. in two weeks. Is it possible MFP is adding too many calories to what I burn? I've been eating 1000-1400 calories a day (after burning some on…

My current minigoal is upping my steps to at least 4,000 average a day, and adding in exercise at least once a week.

I've decided to add exercise to my weight loss program, since calories don't seem to be doing the job. I picked up the Down Dog app (there's a New Year's sale of $20 for a year's subscription). It ranges from limited chair yoga to advanced forms, so I should be able to find something that works!

Hi! I live with 3 humans (family), 3 cats, and 1 dog. I'm married, a gamer, and an avid reader. My main exercise recently has been walking around cleaning. Medication changes have improved my health enough to really work on getting in better shape, after several years. I lost a bit of weight at first, but I hit a plateau,…

I have not! HYE done yoga?

Welcome, @vrafer! Come on in, water's fine!

SW: 255 lb. PW: 225 lb. CW: 227 lb. PMS is hitting me hard I think. I'm glad my official weigh in day isn't 'til Sunday, I feel like a puffer fish!
-
I use a Fitbit pretty religiously to track my movement and sleep, but I haven't tried the challenges yet! Are they for everyone, or premium only, do you know?

Welcome, @tylaK2015!

I forgot to answer you, @Katmary71. I'm a book nerd, and I especially love fantasy. I made my user name from Tolkein's Sindarin elven language. Means "born of darkness", for a story I was trying to write forever ago. Oddly, it's apparently close to a common Spanish nickname for dark haired men. I had no idea when I started…

*grumps* I'm pretty sure my metabolism doesn't match what MFP is showing. I ate a slice of pie last night and somehow gained 2 lb. overnight! It's a little frustrating. I guess I'll see how it turns out on weigh in day.
-
Hi, and welcome from a fellow newcomer!
-
Merry Christmas! @Katmary71 I actually have never listened to them. I really should take some time and give it a try! PW: 224 lb. CW: 225 lb.

*waves* Hiya!

Yuck, I don't care for olives or sardines :) . Sunseed butter

Losing another 6 lb. to be back to the weight I was when I met my husband. And to start doing yoga 3 times a week.
