Second the 5 am workout. I'm a teacher with two small kids and a commute as well. I don't think I'm a "morning person." It's very hard to get up, but the benefits are worth it for me. There are so many out of shape teachers in the buildings where I teach, and most of them think I'm just "naturally" skinny, rather than a…

Snacks with protein help me out. Nuts and cottage cheese are two of my go-tos.

I do it daily. I've consistently lost. As long as you stay under your daily goal, you're fine.

I love Insanity!! Here are my results.

I love this one! My kids even think it's good! http://www.skinnytaste.com/sloppy-joe-baked-sweet-potatoes/

I just finished today! It's not for everyone, but I loved it. I saw good results, too - lost about 9 pounds and some inches. I look and feel much more lean.

Just finishing up Insanity and loved it!

I did 30- Day Shred after both my kids. It's short (25 min maybe?) so I could usually squeeze it in at some point during the day. It helped a lot with recovering some core strength.

I'm a few days from finishing Insanity and I love it. I'm seeing great results. That program is very challenging, as are some of the others mentioned above. Depending on your fitness level, there are other programs that are easier. The nice thing is that you can try them until you find one that works for you. I have the…

I do Insanity and I love it. My friend did Hard Corps and lost inches.

Up at 4:45, workout starts by 5 or 5:10. It is difficult to get up, but I just make myself do it. Once I'm dressed and the workout starts, I'm usually fine - the hardest part is getting your feet on the floor. I have little kids and a busy job, and I would never get it done at night. I used to feel like I needed to eat…

I need to start doing something like this. Do you like insanity? [/quote] I love Insanity! I'm almost done with week 5.

Alarm goes off at 4:45. Lie in bed about 10 minutes thinking about how I don't want to get up. Get up, get dressed, workout. Drink as much coffee as possible. Get ready for work, get kids ready for school, breakfast around 7:20 (or 7:30 in the car sometimes). Bedtime is around 9:30 or 10.

Two kids, ages 6 and 3. I exercise at 5AM, before they get up. 3yo was up and down last night, so it's very difficult to get motivated to get up. Some days I just have to force myself...once I'm up and dressed, things are usually ok. It's definitely a challenge to cook healthy meals that fit with my goals and are still kid…

Not a coach, but I love the on demand program and use it exactly as you described (5AM while everyone is still asleep). I'm on week 5 of Insanity. You don't have to purchase Shakeology, which costs extra. I don't do the shakes, just the workouts. It's about $100 per year and you have access to all of their programs.

Progress photos after finishing the first 4 weeks - I was getting ready to take my kids to the indoor swimming pool and thought I'd snap a quick one! First photo was March 31, and second photo was April 29 after completing 4 weeks, so not quite day 30. I can see a difference, I think.

Recovery week starts tomorrow. I may incorporate some easy runs in on some of those days (I've been doing this already if I feel up to it). Still scared of month 2.
