Fun threads - I love the goal setting advice. Thanks! At some point I am going to have to make it official and sign up for SOMETHING. Not sure where to start with that whole thing. I started running on January 6th and NOW finally understand why so many people love it! My first Believe journal came today. Glass of wine in…

Getting closer to that March goal... Ran yesterday for the first time with BOTH my daughters and THEY initiated it! So fun to have "little" running buddies (10 and 11). We were packing for a Spring break getaway to Sanibel Island, FL last night and they both tucked running shoes into their bags. My new healthy habits are…

@elise4270 Thank you for sharing this. As one of those newbies, I appreciate it! Progress is slow and not always evident. I hadn't thought of keeping a running journal but can see how it may be helpful. I think I'll add that to my "to do" list for the week. Last night was a multi-tasking challenge but I did manage to run…

Quick trip on the treadmill this AM - better than nothing but boy did I have to push myself to do it. The sunshine over the weekend spoiled me. Why does 3 miles indoor seem to take twice as long as 3 miles outdoors? Happy Monday!

What a fun catch up on everyone's posts. As usual you all inspire me to get out and get busy!

Sunshine and 57 deg in Michigan today! Finally ran with only one layer. Very wet feet (snow melt) but generally a nice 3.55 mile run around town. I could get used to this...please, no more snowy days!

Happy Friday all! Today was a good day. 3.54 miles felt "sort of" easy (can't believe I am saying that?!) so I followed up with 30 minutes of strength training. Planning on a riding day tomorrow - I promise I will NOT count those horsey miles on my ticker but man would my time rock!

Challenging incline run on the treadmill yesterday, not much distance but hopefully useful for conditioning. Coaching for Girls on the Run starts today with my 5th and 6th grade team; I'm hoping to log a couple of miles with them this afternoon.
@maria1582 The hardest miles are the ones you should be most proud of - Good job! @4leighbee I'm so excited for your daughter. I have an 11 year old with seasonal allergy induced asthma that has always avoided exercise but after a year of allergy shots she is feeling strong enough to join her school's "Girls on the Run"…

Off to a good start - 8" of new snow so did 3 miles on the treadmill. Bring it on March!
Good morning! I am "coming out" as a runner today. I just started in January and last month managed 36 miles. I think I may be addicted. I'm not brave enough to sign up for any races yet but will get there. My goal for March is 50 miles. I will be overjoyed if I can get my long run over the 4 miles in 40 minutes that…

It is so nice to find some Garmin fans here! I am loving my Vivoactive. My Connect ID is jstafaz. I started working on my fitness goals on January 6th and am trying hard not to lose motivation.

Managed to get a 3 mile run in and eat an apple afterward - resisting the usual siren call of a post run caramel macchiato!

I am 5' 7" and weigh 151lbs. My pre-baby weight was 137lbs so that is my goal. P.S. That "baby" is now 6!
