Ohp for sure. Now that I'm starting to make progress I am starting to look forward to them tho :p

I'm 5'8" and 243, I wear size 16.

I had zero experience with weight lifting and this is the program I went with. It's super simple and strength gains happen quick.

I literally just received my Jawbone UP2 lightweight/thin straps today so I cannot really give a review. So far it feels very comfortable and the steps seem to be fairly accurate. I had a hard time deciding which I wanted. I jumped from different brands and models. I found this one discounted to $36 compared to $99 retail…

That's awesome Michelle! Soon you will start feeling so much stronger and become addicted to it :D

Not everyone's water needs are the same. Some need more, some need less depending on so many factors. For example I live in the desert so I drink quit a bit, especially now that it's warmer. You'll dehydrate pretty fast here. When I lived in the Alaskan rainforest I can say I honestly don't remember drinking much water at…

My first goal is 20lbs, which I'm 5 lbs shy of. Next goal is to be under 200lbs by the end of this year. I started at 257 in march, currently at 242 so I feel I'm on track and should hit my goal by mid-October. Fitness goals mostly revolve around weight lifting. I want to squat 200lbs by the end of the year, currently at…

Hey guys! Haven't been on here in awhile :p . Took a few weeks off from mfp but stuck with food ( mostly haha!) and exercise goals. Looks like you guys have been sticking with it!

Always 7lbs. It flushes after a few days

I understand it may feel difficult at first, but you are two different people who can make individual choices. You will have to learn that nobody is pressuring you to do anything, if you don't want a certain food, don't eat it. It's a part of life to make choices. Last night my boyfriend wanted a root beer float. Man did…

I'd say keep doing what you're doing. Eventually you will start feeling like you aren't being challenged enough, that's when you push yourself a little further, harder, longer, etc.. Just listen to your body. I would never recommend just jumping into an extreme ( whatever that might mean to your current level of fitness)…

Congrats on the hard work! Haha This is why people usually weigh themselves in the morning after using the restroom :p

Since temperatures have officially hit the 90's I have been eating frozen fruits. Currently hooked on oranges and blueberries.

I'd say start setting other goals, such as fitness goals to distract you from time, and also give you something more to push for. When it comes to fitness there is always more you can do. If you keep tracking and eating under maintenance you will get to the weight you want inevitably, and then you will have to focus on…

It depends on you and your mentality. I personally weigh myself daily and track the trend. I also use a measuring tape weekly or bi-weekly to track my measurements. Once a month I look at the numbers and enjoy seeing the downward trend. If you think you will become obsessive over the scale, it's not a wise idea to own one.

Well I was always active, even being chunky. Would hike a lot, lift weights, etc. And even tho I was 225lbs at 5'8 I didn't feel inhibited. Late 2014 my love and I got our first place together and I put on an extra 30 or so happy pounds last year. I started noticing physically how the weight was slowing me down. When we…

I think most people would want to vomit. Learn about different spices you enjoy and add some flavor to that chicken. Then learn to bake, grill, fry it, whatever floats your boat. Boiled meat sounds like punishment so avoid that.

This is a bit dramatic. Relaaaaax. Life is ups and downs, everyday isn't going to work out how you want it to. It's fantastic you have been focused and working hard, but being sick means time for a break. Get sleep, lots of water, and nourish your body. None of this making a bigger deficit to make up for no exercise, in…

I prefer home workouts. For one, I live in the middle of nowhere, the nearest gym being 15 miles away one way. Also I absolutely hate having to wait for equipment, particularly weights. And i just like the comfort of my own home. I dont have to go anywhere to workout, love it! If i want to work out in my underwear, i can…

I had mine take. Out in late january. I ate lots of soups and yogurt. Mine healed pretty quick so after a week I was eating pretty normal.

It's not that difficult. It takes a little time at first just to verify entries, but really it's not that hard. I was at the thrift store yesterday browsing books. I found a book from 2001 called " Calorie Counting Made Easy". The cover advertised it included over 200 chain food entries, or something of that sort. I was so…

I'm 29 and determined to get in shape by 30 ( have about a year). I'm 5'8" Starting weight was 257 on March 1st, current weight is 244 so 80-90 pounds to go. Add me :)
-
I started at 257, currently sitting at 244. No one has noticed really yet but I have! I can't stop feeling my ribcage because it's leaned out so much. My face is a bit thinner as well. The best thing is my clothes are starting to fit normally ( lol I was in denial and refused to buy any bigger clothes).

I'm sure the gym is a controlled climate ;). It does sound like you got burnt out trying to put your focus in too many places. Giving yourself a little break isn't a bad idea. I'd say fix the diet first. At least track what you are eating into MFP. If you are eating over maintenance seeing the "if everyday were like today…

I have an elliptical at home I use frequently. I usually do a half hour but just enter 15 minutes to be more accurate on calorie burn.
-
I'm not on a diet. If you feel restricted and are forcing yourself to eat certain foods, then you may be going about this wrong. You can eat whatever you want as long as it fits in your calorie limit. This doesn't have to be a miserable process :)
-
It's just a habit. Habits are sometimes hard to break, especially if we enjoy them. You have to create a new habit of moderation. I had a bad habit of eating dessert and drinking soda nearly daily("I only call it bad because it was way too many excess calories). It was difficult at first to change that, but now I don't…

Breakfast doesn't have to be traditional breakfast foods. I just ate leftover dinner. Lots of protein and fat so it will get me far before I'm hungry again. Just eat what satisfies you.

I see your negative reaction with your parents just as a way to make an excuse to not lose weight. I believe you want to lose weight, but you don't want to make the effort of changing your eating habits. It's easier to blame others than blame yourself. You don't need the whole world, or your parents, holding your hand or…

Just think of it this way....did you consume over 7,000 calories above maintenance? If not then it's not fat. It's easy to get worked up over the little fluctuations, but mostly they are nothing to be worried about.
