  • Thanks Nancy for telling us about yourself. I find it much easier to connect with friends if I know a little bit about them. It sounds like you definitely get your exercise done at work and anything else is a bonus! I wish I had room for a treadmill as winter can be long up here. I am thinking of trying snow shoeing this…

  • Quick update...... I liked my idea of putting the banoffee pie down the garbage disposal so that is just what I did. I kept telling myself that I can make this again if I choose and right now I choose not to eat it! Yeah me!!!! I also individually packaged up the cinnamon rolls and put them in the freezer. Done, done, done.
  • Happy Monday everyone! I for one am thankful that the Christmas food is just about done. The one thing that is driving me crazy is the banoffee pie and homemade cinnamon rolls with orange frosting that I see ever time I open the refrigerator. Lord help me. I am thinking I might put the pie down the garbage disposal. I know…
  • Wishing everyone a ver Merry Christmas ☃❄️
  • What are everyone's plans or plan of attack for the next few days? I have decided that I will be thoughtful of the food I consume but I will enjoy the holidays. I know that I will go over my alotted calories for the next few days. This happens to people who don't need to diet, but the difference for me is to get right back…
  • Hello everyone and happy holidays! I'm 57 years old and 5'4". My starting weight was 210 lbs., current weigh is 146 lbs. My goal weight is 140 lbs. I started my weight loss journey in mid January 2015. Next month will be my one year anniversary. It has been a year of ups and downs. Learning good eating habits has been…
  • Not sure if it will or won't. From what I understand you eat only NS foods? What is the total calories per day are their meals? If you eat the same calories you would lose at the same rate. One up side of doing it yourself is you will learn to cook meals and serving size appropriate meals. This is important when it comes…
  • Congratulations on your hard work and following your instincts. I am 2 lbs from goal and have been reading up on what to do and what to expect. Your post has been helpful.
  • One more thing...... I would never eat any of the prepackaged freeze dried egg dishes you can buy. Every one I have ever tried was worse than ihorrible! Yuck.
  • We backpack the Appalachian Trail a few times a year. Normally out trips are 5 days. We enjoy granola cereal or instant oatmeal with powdered whole milk. We add dried fruit and nuts to up the calories. We measure and pack everything at home before our trip. That way there is no guessing how many calories you are eating. We…
  • Chicken or shrimp fajitas tostada nada. Nada= no shell, no rice, no beans, no cheese, no dressing. Ask for the protein and veggies to be cooked in as little oil as possible. Use lemon juice on everything. I have love it this way!
  • Welcome aboard. If looking for friends you can add me.
  • I prefer to log my whole day in the morning before breakfast. That way there are no surprises. This also helps me to make better choices and where my priorities lie.
  • Congratulations on your reaching your goal weight. All of your hard work has paid off
  • This sounds wonderful. I will definitely give this a try. Thanks!
  • We are very involved in our home garden. We plant corn, broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, potatoes, green bunching onions, red onions, walla walla onions, garlic, tomatoes (different varieties), shelling peas, green beans, spinach, carrots, lettuce (different varieties), cabbage, Brussel sprouts, celery, Basel, mint,…
  • Where did you purchase this item?
  • I too am looking for like minded individuals to walk this weight loss journey with. So far it has been very hard to find. One group I tried to become involved with on this site were just down right mean. So I dropped them and have been basically on my own. Anyone wanting to become friends and accountability partners?
  • You look fantastic!
  • I have a vegetable garden every year. What we don't eat fresh we either can or freeze. Believe it or not we are just finishing up last years veggies. We plant corn, green beans, peas, tomatoes, broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, potatoes, red onions, sweet onions, green onions, garlic, carrots, celery, three types of…
  • My goal for summer is to keep the scale moving downward. I have an important anniversary this coming July (which is one of the reasons I started on MFP). This anniversary is a hurdle for me. In the past I would start a diet for an event and after the event I would go back to my old habits and guess what...the pounds would…
  • My favorite chicken recipe is to take a boneless skinless chicken breast, cut a pocket, and stuff it with sautéed spinach and laughing cow creamy Swiss garlic and herb cheese. I bake this for 45 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Yummy!
  • I purchased raspberries flavor and it was horrible!
  • Welcome Lisa. I'm new also.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss. You are such an inspiration to us all!
  • Hi, I'm Beth, 56 years young (lol) and I live in New England. I have been on MFP since mid-January. So far I am loving the accountability of posting my food intake everyday. My staring weight was 210, my goal weight is 145, and my current weight is 176.2. I have been in a weight loss stall for 3 weeks. I'm not in a panic…
  • Welcome back! Feel free to add me as a friend as I too am looking for support and to give encouragements when needed.
