  • Don't be scared! I really liked it, but then again, I'll eat almost anything pumpkin flavored.
  • For breakfast - low carb protein bars (like quest), low-ish carb cereal (here) with almond or coconut milk, or homemade low carb muffins or pancakes with butter. I make big batches and then freeze and reheat. If I remember correctly, the muffins are basically just berries, almond flour, eggs, baking powder and sugar…
  • I'm a sucker for mint chocolate, and I can't argue with anything that's both 80 calories and available at Target. I'm bummed that the only carry three other flavors, though, and none of the other ones I want to try. Coconut chips turned out to be super tasty as well. :) And I found my new favorite cold brew! Has more of a…
  • Beer ice cream! It has a good flavor, but the texture is meh. I wouldn't buy it again.
  • I doubt these bars are new, but they're new to me. A little bland but still pretty good. I could eat my weight in either of these though! Super tasty.
  • I'm not a Starbucks nut by any means, but it sure is a convenient caffeine fix. I usually get cappuccinos in the morning, since a tall with 2% milk is 90 calories, or a grande unsweetened cold brew with coconut milk in the afternoon for 25 calories.
  • I have a large dog to carry the water in his own backpack and my phone goes in a pocket (shoutout to Athleta for pants with awesome pockets) or a running belt. Keys go around my neck and down my shirt. I don't carry food or money.
  • Lunch today: leftover crustless quiche with spinach and pancetta, veggie straws, and a diet coke.
  • Nope. Drinking plain water or tea helps me feel fuller between meals without adding calories, but it doesn't boost my metabolism or any of that pseudo-science BS. And I just like green tea.
  • Last night I had a cup of halo top vanilla ice cream and half a quest bar (brownie flavor, thrown in the microwave). 9/10.
  • Answers are going to vary depending on how you define healthy. I usually look for items under 400 or 500 calories and relatively low carb - depends on what else I'm eating that day. I like Rubio's salads, the chicken tortilla soup at Baja Fresh, protein style burgers from In-n-Out, and the bowl of steamed veggies with Kung…
  • Try planning meals a week ahead, not just one day, but then log everything in the morning. It really helps to make larger dinners (recipes w/ 6+ servings) early in the week so you can bring leftovers for lunch, or even freeze individual servings for emergencies. I also keep spring mix, pre-cooked beets, nuts and cheese…
  • The sleep cycle alarm clock app for my iphone made me a morning person. Quick, painless, and the best $.99 ever spent.
  • No, I've actually been trying low carb for the last couple of months. Yea, sometimes it sucks not being able to have that slice of pizza, but I still eat other tasty food and I feel fuller on fewer calories. I have a family member who eats a lot of cereal and other high carb foods and he's a super lean, healthy guy - but…
  • A bit of both. I plan out dinners for the week on Sunday and eat a lot of leftovers or homemade salads for lunch, so it's easy to pre-log quite a bit when I feel like it. Breakfast I completely wing, but I log everything before going for a snack.
  • I usually buy Litehouse's red wine and olive oil dressing and Bolthouse Farms' yogurt-based dressings (I like the caramelized onion and salsa ranch but they also make plain ranch).
  • I liked the silk almond nog just fine, but the Califia brand almond nog is significantly thicker and creamier - more like real egg nog!
  • Silk's pumpkin spice egg nog is DELICIOUS!! I have it with a teeny bit of rum or as creamer in my iced coffee. And I don't even like almond milk normally, but this stuff... <3
  • Leftovers or salad, which is an easy combo of whatever's in the fridge: spring mix, spinach, arugula, feta or goat cheeese, sliced almonds or pecans, beets (pre-cooked), cucumber, bell pepper, turkey or chicken (pre-cooked or deli sliced) and a low-cal vinaigrette dressing.
  • Leftovers or salad, which is some combination of spring mix, spinach, arugula, baby beets, berries, bell peppers, nuts, crumbled goat or feta cheese, maybe chicken breast or sausage, and a basic vinaigrette dressing... Depends on what's in the fridge.
  • Passed on free pizza and candy at work today, despite one coworker kind of rubbing the pizza in my face. Boss dubbed me 'the only one with any willpower' though, so there's that. LOL.
  • Almost always leftovers. Today was a bell pepper stuffed with fajita chicken, cauliflower rice, and cheese. Under 450 calories and super tasty!
  • Our office is small but almost all women. I'm always hot and everyone else is freezing - I'll have a fan on while my coworker has blankets and a heater, lol. Anyways, they're all nice ladies, but I need to get on the vent train real quick... - Woman in the cube behind me is SO noisy. Either she's talking to me, talking to…
  • Oven roasted - chop it up, shake around in a plastic bag w/ olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Roast at 400F for about 30 min, add a little bit of grated parmesan on top. I also use mashed cauliflower to replace potatoes (and bison instead of beef) in a sort of faux shepherd's pie.…
  • Usually Ghiradelli squares - regular size ones are ~80 cal, minis ~40. I just picked up a bag of green tea flavored kitkats, which are 66 cal each. Not sure I'd recommend those...
  • I saw Absinthe a couple years ago and loved it! Wouldn't recommend it for more conservative types, lol.
  • Veggie flaxseed tortilla chips & hummus Mango & cream bars Salads - citrus chicken, roasted beet, lemon chicken & arugula are really good! Others, like the broccoli, kale & chicken salad, I swap out the dressing for something lower cal. Individual bags of trail mix (omega is my favorite) Chicken jalapeno sausages Greek…
  • I hide the good stuff too! A stash of chocolate under the bathroom sink, salty stuff in the back cupboard with the blender...
  • RAC. Really love his remix of Ghost of a Chance.
  • Usually an iced passion tea, unsweetened. If I feel like 'splurging' on coffee I get a small skinny vanilla latte - I think it's about 100 calories, so pretty easy to fit in the day. :D
