Ha ha, macha, as a noob I did not realize how potent the powder is. Call me educated. :open_mouth:

I don't think I could ever get bored of fruit and veggies...I mean there are so many kinds.

I try to over estimate

A vegetable raw, hummus or tofu, some nuts or seeds, and a fruit; I put them all in the same bowl and it looks so healthy and delicious that I eat it up knowing it's so good for me. Makes me feel so dang good, I don't want to eat anything else.

Male, 45, 6'4", 293 lbs., 1,900 daily average Pretty sedentary with a standing desk that I use for about 3 hours a day, do two 15 minute walks per day and average about 15-20 flights of stairs per day. Lost 7 lbs in one month.

You can add me. I've been eating primarily vegan for about a month and a half and have lost 7 lbs so far on lifestyle changes alone without any additional exercise. I was 300 lbs from the age of 22 to 44, then my lipid panel deteriorated over 3 months so I decided to change everything.

I'm now doing the daily dozen and loving it! Thanks!

The more meat and fat you eat the less antioxidants you intake through fruit and veggies. Your choice, but I eat vegan as much as I can, but that's what works for me.

I just eat vegan with no processed foods, and hit my calorie target everyday. I follow Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen and I'm never hungry. Often times I can't eat all of the fruit, veggies, whole grains, etc. because it's too much food.

Vegan diet, no processed foods, little to no exercise, 7 lbs in one month, super happy, feeling great!

Hello I'm trying to go vegan because I'm reading How Not to Die by Dr. Greger. My wife isn't on board but she's a pretty stubborn person but very supportive so I know she will come around eventually. My cholesterol has skyrocketed and my Doctor hasn't seemed that concerned. I'm looking for the best tips on how to eat and…

My initiative is to always be patient with myself, to be kind to myself and forgive myself for frustrations. The more you try and cut out or try and be a martyr, the more likely you won't be able to keep at it. Find what works for you and stick with it, it's a marathon and little changes over time make the biggest…

Be kind to yourself and know that you are doing the best for your body, this often promotes patience within oneself. Don't fear failure, failure does not exist it is merely perception. And frustration comes from the difference between expectations and reality. It is always best to build a positive foundation for any…

Honestly, I hurt my hip and back so I'm concentrating on losing weight first and then exercise once I'm at a lower weight.

I eat about 300 calories for breakfast, 500 for lunch and have about 3 glasses of wine with my dinner. It comes out to about 2,000 calories a day. I've been losing weight doing that. :) Plus drink wine or vodka and stay away from beer. XD

I eat yogurt and drink almond milk, but I make sure to eat lunch about 3-4 hours later.

We have standing desks here which is nice. I just eat less.

I was fine being fat and happy at 45 but my cholesterol was deteriorating and I was starting to have more joint pain. So I decided to eat healthier and try and move more. I've been at 300 for last 25 years, ad I've been pretty healthy. I've been extremely content, but I'm married to a lovely woman and she needs me to be…

I like unsweetened ice tea, unsweetened chocolate almond milk, and the low sugar fever tree tonic water. My issue with diet soda and other drinks is that they are so sweet. The problem with sugar replacements is that it's hard to tell how sweet it is. If it has 6 grams of sugar I know how sweet it's going to be, if it has…

Forgive yourself and love yourself. Buddhism has helped me immensely in my life and I say this a lot: try Maitri Meditation. Start with a positive foundation, don't force something on yourself and then shame yourself when you don't complete an unrealistic goal. Baby steps, small steps, tiny lasting changes, be patient and…

This has been my goal for a while is to have some AF days. Living in an alcohol saturated culture, and alcohol saturated family. I really enjoy wine and stuff but it's so intertwined with stress relief for me. I have morning person already to not drink anything tonight and by the end of the day I just want to get home and…

Walking at a stroll.

For me Buddhism was the answer, for others it is other things. Just find what works for you, whatever it is.

Turning 45 in the fall, my lipid panel was poor so I'm eating healthy which I'm really enjoying. My work place has a salad bar and recently they added (at my request) black beans so I don't have to eat animal proteins at lunch. I consider myself 3/4's vegan LOL. Anyhoo, by really committing myself to change for a positive…

I've been a member a while but now I have to lose weight to offset being older. I was fine being overweight and quite happy buuuttttt with old age comes health issues so now I'm losing weight. I love eating healthy stuff so it's no big thing to me. The key to me is motivation and finding the means that work for you. :)

I try not to but it's a nice cushion if you are feeling like an extra nibble.
