I am giving myself a gold star. Yesterday, I did one hour on the treadmill( walk/run) at the hotel we were staying at. We were attending a wedding and many family members were staying at the same hotel. These particular family members are NOT into exercise or healthy eating habits. In the past I would have not exercised…

Hi everyone, Welcome all newbies and seasoned vets. My name is Dolores and I live in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada. I just turned 60 in June but I feel much younger. I retired from teaching in 2011 and keep busy with my 3 young grandchildren who also live in Saskatoon. I started this group in April, and because I am an…

Not in the winner's circle this month but winning at being so much more mindful about my daily healthy habits. I am so surprised that I am happily incorporating/planning for more exercise. I am definitely feeling more in control of my eating and not constantly looking for ways to treat myself with desserts(I have quite a…

@SimonsChange Wow!! Congrats on all your successes this month. Very inspiring! @Slimpossible007 So Happy for You. Welcome to the 100s. @craigo3154 Your pictures tell it all about your healthy habits. Job well done.

A good day with my sister. Did some walking around Home Sense for about 30 minutes. Lots of visiting but making good healthy food choices. Still on board for incorporating daily healthy habits and exercise despite the fact that I did not make the winner's circle this month.

Love that!! Absolutely perfect. Game of Thrones is one our favourite series.

Today was my getting ready for my sister and partner's visit. They are flying in from Kelowna British Columbia tomorrow. I did lots of house cleaning and grocery shopping. My husband made chicken kabobs for supper which were delicious; there will be leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I made a black bean brownie for tomorrow as…

Happy Birthday@shonat11

Pass #3 yesterday and Pass #4 today. Lots of exercise but did not track everything!! Saturday and Sunday were 2 super big days; getting ready for company and a big pool day today celebrating my son-in-law's bday. Still part of the group but out of the winner's circle. Sheesh, it is hard to be in the winner's circle!!…

A good day. Weights at the gym, 60 minute brisk walk, tracked and just a few calories to spare. :)

Perfectionism is a very common happiness stumbling block. Here are 2 anti-perfectionist mantras that I especially like: 1. "Don't get it perfect-get it going." 2. "Don't spend your time rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic." :D Have a great day everyone.

Yesterday and today were both pool days with my grandchildren. I love summer. Yesterday, I even went to the gym after my grandchildren left at 4:30 PM. That's something I would have never done before joining this group. Tracked and within calorie limit.

A really good day. 21,262 steps( 2 walks, spreading topsoil for an hour, and cleaning our backyard pool and deck for tomorrow's afternoon fun with our grandkids). Tracked and within calorie limit. I am making progress!! Back on track already and feeling good. Before I joined this group, once I was off track it took me…

I am checking in frequently today because I need to get back on track. One hour moderate pace walk and then worked on spreading topsoil for our new sod. Yay!!

Already having a better day. Off for a walk with my husband.

Pass Day #2. Just one of those days. Tomorrow will be better. @hil331115 You are an owl not a lark. Evenings work much better for me too. Just not a morning person.

Pass Day#1 Just a bit over my calorie limit. Darn. We were away from home this weekend and I did super well until we got home tonight! I was tired, hot and hungry. I had a big bowl of cereal plus 2 mini mars bars. Yikes!! 86 calories over.
-
@craigo3154 "Last point is that you cannot make a habit that is too uncomfortable or restrictive. Longer term you will un-learn the habit to remove the discomfort or restriction." Totally totally agree with you!!
-
@hil331115 Darn that you had an off day. Tomorrow, make it a turn around day. Will be anxious to hear from you. A good day. Despite being away from home( my husband is playing in a tennis tournament) I stayed on track. Very very happy.
-
@ColwellCat Enjoy your weekend but try moderation as best as you can. Take care of that concussion! @Gus130 Thank-you for letting us know how things are going with you. It's time to just focus on one thing; kicking cancer to the curb. Thinking of you and sending you best wishes to stay strong.

I am a moderator not an abstainer. I learned this about myself after listening to Gretchen Rubin's podcast called "Happier with Gretchen Rubin". "Moderators do better when they indulge in moderation, and they get panicky if they’re told they can “never” have or do something. They find that a little indulgence satisfies…

An okay day. I walked 20 Minutes to Taste of Saskatchewan in downtown Saskatoon to listen to my friend's daughter's band. I had a banana and water; lots of tents set up with amazing food but I did not have anything. Yay!! I was suppose to play in a pickle ball tournament today but my tennis elbow has really been bothering…
-
@pribud Thanks for touching base with everyone. Ditto everything you posted. A good day. I did tons of housework, a 6km brisk one hour walk, tracked and stayed within calorie limit. Yay!!
-
Yes x3

@aeshippers You have been going hard non stop with your exercise for a long while now. Maybe a rest day would do you more good than harm. Thoughts?
-
It's a good thing I had exercise calories to help me out today. Yikes!! A good brisk walk for an hour with a friend this morning and then playing in the pool for an hour with our NZ friends who have a 5 year old daughter. The game called "Marco Pool" is a very fun pool game AND burns lots of calories. Our afternoon snack…

@am_change No worries. I would have done the same. @Slimpossible007 I am excited for you. Soon you will see a "1" instead of a "2". @pribud No loopholes for you. Pretty amazing that u have continued your journey despite your surgery. Inspiring. I had a good day today. Tracked and within calorie limit. Did a 45 minute…

@Gus130 Hope today's chemo doesn't take too much out of you. I will be thinking of you. @RangerRickL What a great way to give back. A win win. Love it.
