I have a Pinterest with nothing but low-carb meals. The Ketogenic Diet is all about low carb (well, very low carb - under 20g net carbs). https://www.pinterest.com/brittneykmd/ Using Pinterest to search "low carb meal recipes" you can find a TON of results!

Oh my goodness, I have had that happen once. I couldn't believe it. I had to think of a possible reason to have those things in something like tomato paste (or sauces, diced tomatoes, et cetera). I had to buy organic cans for a while before I found store brand and name brands that carried them with nothing compromising in…

Fibrous, green leafy vegetables such as spinach, romaine lettuce and broccoli. Almonds and macadamia nuts are a good source of fiber. Carbs that you find in dairy products, like cheese and heavy cream, contain lactose but are more easily consumed and don’t come in a large quantity.

Almonds and macadamia nuts are ideal and very satisfying. Or cheese! Seriously. Just get some block sharp cheddar cheese and cut off a few chunks when you feel hungry. Your body wants fats and proteins. Or, heck, sometimes I’ll just munch on some salami or pepperoni slices. Omnomnom.

Only if you consume too much protein will that happen. Consuming too high in your daily macros of protein, yes, it will start to break down. This is pretty frank stuff one can read on low-carb and living keto. And yes, you will store regardless. There have been hundreds of studies revolved around low-carb vs low-fat diets…

Quest bars are made with sugar alcohol. You pass sugar alcohols the same way you pass dietary fiber. I will eat one if I'm in a bind between places to ensure I get my protein. I say to limit eating fruits. They are not necessary or worth the amount of sugars in them. Green, leafy vegetables are much better for your health.…

Likewise. It drives my husband nuts because I will not leave the house without one on. :( So now I have a few that I will alternate between washing, wearing, et cetera.

Just drink water. Your body will do the flushing for you. Seriously. Drink 3 liters of water a day and you will certainly feel the change - for the better!

For most, if not all things (unless specifically stated on the package or from websites like this: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search), it will be the precooked weight.

Honestly, you can get the same vitamins and minerals from vegetables that you can get from fruits. Green, leafy vegetables are higher in dietary fiber, lower in sugars and are overall better for you. Spinach especially. If you want to consume a good fruit, go for avocados. Or if you really want a sweet dessert, go for low…

Isopure Unflavored Carbless Protein Powder. This is my go-to protein powder. It's amazing. 26g protein for one scoop (28g), 0g fat and 0g carb. I prefer the carbless as I live the keto way.

Wait. I have Hypothyroidism. Why no grapes or strawberries? I don't eat either anyway because I live the ketogenic diet. I was just curious. Edit: No cabbage, mayo or peanut butter? What did I miss about Hypothyroidism when I was diagnosed and taking my medication?

Do not focus on the calories alone. What makes up those calories is what is important. Fats and proteins should definitely be what makes up the percentage of your daily caloric intake. But don't make food a chore for yourself. Eat when you are hungry and to the point of sating your appetite. Honestly, I would recommend…

I had mine out when I was 13 years of age. At that age, I ate like crap. Junky, overly processed foods, didn’t drink water, et cetera. What happened afterward is that I was told I would have some difficulty digesting large portions of red meats, otherwise things are just fine. You may need to have it taken out, though.…

Thank you, you two. :) I'm very happy to be here.

Also, we can be buddies! I'm starting on ketogenic diet journey and I'd love to do it with you. Compare diary entries of our food, et cetera. And I know for a fact that the ketogenic diet suppresses appetite because we feel sated much easier. Get what you need to eat during the day and switch around some things if need be.

Take a look at this link! We actually can get enough potassium in our diets without realizing it. Meats and vegetables contain more than we think: http://www.carbsmart.com/getting-enough-potassium-by-dana-carpender.html If necessary, there are Potassium Gluconate supplements you can take. I keep a bottle handy, just in…

You can purchase ketostix to test yourself from home with your urine. Dipping a stick into the urine sample for however many seconds that particular test requires (mine is 15 seconds) it will turn a shade to match the sample on the bottle. As long as there are "trace" ketones in your urine, you are in ketosis and it is…

Thank you so very much!

Hello, everyone! I hope this is still active. I was born in Bemidji, lived for a year in Bloomington, did the majority of my growing and learning in Shakopee and then made a move to Chaska for a few months and then to my home now in Lakeville. I have lived here for two or so years and will be moving to Burnsville in less…

http://www.lowcarbsosimple.com/guest-post-strawberry-cheesecake-fat-bombs/ Strawberry Cheesecake Fat Bombs * 1/2 cup = 120 ml = 2.5 oz = 70 g strawberries, fresh or frozen * 3/4 cup = 180 ml = 5.3 oz = 150 g cream cheese, softened * 1/4 cup = 60 ml = 2 oz = 60 g butter or coconut oil, softened * 2 tablespoons = 0.7 oz = 20…

http://ketodietapp.com/Blog/ This website actually has a two week meal plan for dairy-free eating while on Keto. Look in the recipe section and all of the other stuff involved. Do not hesitate to message her or add her on Facebook! She's fantastic with information.

Drink a full glass of ice water before bed and do the same thing once you wake up. Water is good for the body and helps your stomach feel full, even temporarily. Water is very important while on keto, too. So it's a win/win!

Thank you very much for the link! I will definitely check it out. And we try to eat clean. I just have a terrible habit with overindulging even in homemade goodies. When I was on keto before, I loved that I didn't feel the urge to consume everything at once. I felt sated.

I would love to join you and motivate you! I just started up again and I have hypothyroidism, which hinders weight loss and is incredibly frustrating. I would be happy to do this with you. :) I'm looking to lose 50+ pounds, too! My profile picture is an old picture. When I was thinner. I want to be back to that!
-
Oh, oh! I will be adding everyone from this thread. I will be doing the keto diet as well and would love to be around those who are doing it, too. It's so much better to be in pairs than on our own sometimes. The support is amazing.
-
Please add me, if you would like! I can relate completely. I am a mother to two young boys, ages two and three, and I definitely want to be healthy and fit for them. I need to be their example of what is good! My three-year-old is going through the phase of not wanting to eat anything and I hope by eating well and being…

I can definitely empathize and would love to add you for encouragement and support. I recently returned for the very same thing. I came from a very bad state of mind just this last year and have been taking the time to recover and feel better about my relationship with food and with people. It has shaken my relationship…
