Confession: I'm more scared of having loose skin than having excess weight. I'd really rather fill myself out rather than sag all over the place...

-31 lbs in 73 days :) 70 lbs more to go!

They do work, but it's not a weight loss thing. But yes, if you track people's progress with them, you can see that it does work. Nectere's right.

I'm the only one out of my group of friends who's really stuck to the diet/exercising plan we all agreed on 2 months ago, and now they're higher than their SW and I'm -30 lbs. And I feel a little happy about it, in a very twisted way. If it's any consolation, I started higher than they did, but now I'm a little less than…

your hair and your eyebrows are to die for, whoa :o

I tried Green Coffeebean Extract (both of these are toted by Dr. Oz and people seem to use one or the other) and it did nothing but make my anxiety way worse. I actually gained weight from it and began losing again once I stopped taking the pills. My manager at work saw me taking them last year and told me straight-out to…

awesome job!!

well good for you cos i don't think any of us would want to be with a guy that superficial and ridiculous anyways :) "dude she has everything in common with you!" 'can i fit her under my armpit? cos like, that's mega important'

Body scale, sorry, I always forget that food scales are a thing :P

Almost 20, second year on-campus student :) college does not make it easy to lose weight, that's for sure...

ooh this is a good thread! i'm 5'11" and i've lost 30 pounds (273 to 243) and you cannot even tell... where my shorter friends have lost 5 pounds and you can already see it showing! soooo frustrating

try a spoonful of nutella or something instead! 2 tablespoons is 200 calories, and might satisfy your sweet tooth. You are stronger than the temptation of cake! Once you hit your weight goal, you can have a celebratory cake then :)

I don't have much nutritional advice here, but just please don't give up! I had a few weeks of no change after losing in my first weeks, and then it started coming off again. Perseverance is the key. You're not broken, your body is just changing and change takes time.

I haven't tested it for "birth control-birth control", but I'm on Falmina pill (now the generic for it) and it never made me gain weight. I use it to regulate my period and everything, and it's been great for me. Very occasional spotting, but I mean very occasional. Some can make you retain water, but I haven't encountered…

It might sound lame, but it helped me to print out a bunch of motivational sayings and posters and hang them around my room/bed. Even taping up a paper that says YOU'VE GOTTA DO THIS helped. My alarms have things like D'YOU REALLY WANNA FAIL OUT OF SCHOOL OR D'YOU WANNA GET UP, which is somewhat harsh on myself, but I see…

I started at 19.5 stone and am now 17.3 (-2.2 stone / 30 lbs). Slow but steady wins the race... and keeps the weight from coming back immediately after you stop 'dieting'! I'll get to 12 stone one day...

My university has a group for college students doing the Daniel Plan, and it must be popular since they keep bringing it around. I've heard mixed results, but there's so many reasons for that--even things like the person didn't actually want to get any closer to God, they just wanted to shed weight with their friends' DP…

If you're like super hungry and you feel like you're punishing your body by not eating, I'd say eat something small. Getting into a habit of thinking "go to bed hungry, wake up thinner" is very dangerous. Not saying that's where you are, but I know it's a road a lot of people can head down without realizing what they're…

I can help support you :) I've found MFP to be very helpful in keeping that in check, if used properly

I'm 5'11" and I'm aiming for 170, but I dunno if that's a solid goal. After 200, I'll re-evaluate my goals :)

Started out wanting to lose 100 lbs, and I've lost almost 30 lbs so far (about 2 months)... though, when I like what I see and am content with the mirror, I'll re-evaluate how much I want to lose (more or less)

I'm still fat and I'm happy. What doesn't make me happy is how people react to *my* happiness. When people are constantly equating fat with ugly and making you feel horrid about yourself, it's hard to be happy. But that's not a problem with *you*, it's a problem with society. That's been changing at least in my life thanks…

For me at least, I had to take a break. After a weight stand-still (gaining and losing the same pound for like 2 weeks), my college had a bunch of snow days that meant I couldn't weigh myself at the gym or exercise there. I was eating ramen and vending machine snacks and really mellowed out during the snow days, and I…

Wow, you are my inspiration :open_mouth:

Wow, I literally gasped seeing the before and after pictures. You are such an inspiration!

I didn't get to eat all day (worked all day and didn't feel like eating in front of people so I skipped the free dinner) so finally, at 1am after getting home, I forced myself to eat some food even though it was easier to (unfortunately) go to sleep with a net of 0 cal for the day

You definitely can tell you lost a lot of weight. For taller persons, weight loss isn't always as apparent as it is on someone shorter/smaller because we often distribute it easier. The Navy will focus on your weight as a requirement, but to "look the part" add in more strength training to bulk up and be sure to eat at a…

I'm so proud of you for sticking to your recovery. Eating disorders are so difficult to get rid of, but it really is so worth it to recover. People assume stick-thin girls are the primary group that struggles with eating disorders, but all genders, regardless of their body types, can suffer. Thank you for opening up about…

Drinking pop/lemonade/sugary drinks of any sort. I'm horrible at giving up good food (...I eat pasta like every day...) but once I cut out pop my body lost like 3-4 pounds super fast. and I don't even want it anymore!

5'11" and I'm aiming for 170. I think I have a pretty large frame and I carry most of my weight in my stomach, so I'll see how 170 suits me when I reach it.
