Could someone enter my weight for me? 196.8 ... iPad won't let me! Lol

I think this thread has sealed the deal on whether or not to get a fitbit.

Ok good, you said to complete the first challenge sometime during the week and not tonight, lol. After a 2-mi. speed walk on lunch & one kickass hour of Zumba, following three days of intense weight lifting, I'm spent!!!!

It's probably what MFP calculated for her, and she trusted the site, as most of us do on here. I doubt she just pulled it out of the air. I'm on 1,200 as well (as per MFP's recommendation for me to lose 2lbs/week). I'm 5'7" and have a desk job and I work out (hard!) 5 days a week minimum & walk 1.5+ miles each day on my…

I'll do the first challenge tonight and post! ... I hope my goal isn't too extreme, but it's to lose 18.4 lbs by the end of this challenge. When I came back on MFP in Feb, my goal was to lose 30lbs by my 30th b'day in June. So, 18.4lbs by June 26th would mean an average loss of about 1.5lbs/week. :-) We got this, guys!

I'm in. I have a mini-goal in my head that I set in Feb. or losing "30 by 30" (30lbs by my 30th b'day in June). So...I'm about 14lbs down now. I weigh once a week on Wednesdays, which is perfect since tomorrow is April 1st! I want to be 20lbs down by May 1st, so that gives me an attainable goal of 6lbs lost by my last…

I know that I don't burn as many calories when I don't "go all out" during a workout, and if you're having trouble getting the moves down, you obviously aren't going "all out" like you will once you have it down pat. In my experience, the MFP calorie burn calculations are SUPER over-estimated. When I work out and don't…

True. I've never been out of the country. :(
-
Ahhhhhh why do I always forget about the scanner? Thank you!!!
-
I do this so we shall see. For example, I always enter 200 calories burned for my group fitness classes like Zumba, piyo, Piloxing & spinning ... Even though I know it's waaaaaay more in reality.

I have a 1,200 calorie goal. And I LOVE to eat. I work out for health and so I can EAT and stay in a deficit! LOL! I burn the most calories doing HIIT or cardio, but I feel empowered and strong after a lifting session.
-
Make the most of your time...45min lifting, 15min cardio? HIIT training? Again, what everyone else said...exercise for fitness...calorie deficit for weight loss. They do go hand-in-hand when you're like me and obtain a deficit with exercise. I'm far from my goals, but I'm good at telling others how it's done, LOL.

Ah! the pic is so blurry! I can't tell...35?

I wish I had read this last year!! Maybe it would have awakened me! I wasted $400 on Medifast last year. 3 days in and I fainted at the gym. I think I was eating something like 600 calories a day, and was still working out 60 minutes a day, burning, I'd say 500-700 calories. Waste of money. Waste of time. Ruined my health.…

ps..."abrasive" is a compliment, that's what we need around here lol! cold, hard truth!

^This is my husband. I can't figure it out. He used to have an active job, but now, he doesn't move much all day, but eats like garbage and stays skinny (like...an entire carton of ice cream and a half a box of lucky charms for dinner alone kind of garbage). WTF?! lol @ndj1979, you should start some sort of thread with…

I'm not supposed to eat 2 hours before bed, due to digestive issues...which has nothing to do with my weight loss. With that being said, I get home most days after 6:45pm, and dinner is usually around 7:30pm. I am doing just fine on my weight loss journey. I've always been a night-eater, at my "skinniest" and my "fattest"…

Recalculate your calorie goal based on your current stats. Weigh as much of your food as you can. Count diligently. Lots of water. HIIT workouts :)
-
I agree with your post :) ... except for the "There's nothing wrong with skipping meals" part. For some, there may not be anything wrong with it, but I find when I skip lunch, I'm more prone to binges later in the day, and when I skip dinner, I sometimes find myself mindlessly snacking at 2am. Not to mention, when I skip…

I think I'm out of the loop. What does it mean to "take a preworkout" ?

I sign up ahead of time for all of my group fitness classes for the week. I change into my gym clothes at work, and go to the gym before I go home. My son either comes with me or my husband meets me at the gym & picks him up. I do this 3 nights a week, and then I go to the gym first thing Sat & Sun & am home before hubby &…

Sorry for the million comments; things just keep popping into my head! Wal Mart was selling LEI's and Levi's and some others like Faded Glory or No Boundaries or something in long/tall.
-
Also...if you're looking to go SUPER cheap, I got some long jeans at Rue 21 not that long ago.
-
Oops, I didn't read the stores that failed you first...American Eagle sells extra long online...which I'm guessing are like 37" inseam. Alloy goes up to 37" inseam as well
