Or not. Lol. I thought I had some sweet epiphanyyy

Oh, I also cut out that "I HATE MYSELF" bullsh** ... because "I love life and I deserve to be fit and strong and happy and healthy" is a MUCH better mindset!

Any time, as long as when I say, "F*** it! I want that whole pizza NOW!" you stop me! lol

Besides calories & excuses... (Cutting out alcohol to excess also has helped, because when I'm drunk I lose my inhibitions and eat everything I see LOL) ... Also, cutting out the idea that I "can't" have something, because I've categorized foods as "good" or "bad" has helped. ... I cut out the idea that I don't have time…

gym's* (oh yeah...I hate improper use of apostrophes) lol

My most recent last straw (I've had many over the years, lost weight, and gained it back...this is my LAST last straw, LOL)...was when I made a Dunkin' run for Sunday breakfast for my mom, stepdad, son, husband and myself...and I had one of the worst binges of my life. I ate: THREE bagels with a ton of cream cheese, TWO…

My Mom noticed yesterday...12lbs down...she just said I'm lookin' good! lol

Any time. I'm trying to figure out why this thread turned into a nitpicky debate over categorizing who defines what as junk food. Lol. Take it all with a grain of salt. Wait...is salt junk???!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Let's face it: sometimes you will unexpectedly be in a situation where your body is saying "eat" and you are faced with this choice. A lot of people are giving you snide comments about how there's a 3rd option of always being armed with apples and such...but...in real life, we are not always prepared 100% of the time. S***…

hell yeah! Those tats look even more rad all pulled up like that on your tightened skin! Way to go! Keep it up!!!

You're absolutely right. What I went through WAS vile, and if spewing it may help someone avoid the same fate, then so be it.

Exactly...it's more for the lurkers...that would've been, and was me at one point...a lurker just dying for a quick fix, no matter the consequences.

We're trying to help, hun. We just want to make sure you are healthy and happy!! :-)

Please, please be careful and eat to fuel your body. Eating 500-700 calories per day could make you very sick. Your body won't be able to sustain this, and you will quickly put it back on when you have to start eating normally again. Please believe me. I've yo-yo'd like this up and down 80lbs since about the age of 18 (I'm…

...but...MFP seems to REEEEALLY inflate calorie burn, so keep that in mind. (For example: I burn like 600cals in an hour of Zumba, but MFP gives me a calculation of like 800something...so my trick, that's worked so far, is to give myself 100 calories back for every 15 minutes of exercise in my target HR zone)...

I think a lot of these answers, while absolutely correct, maybe explain it too much, which may make it more confusing. Let me try: 1. You tell MyFitnessPal how many lbs per week you want to lose. 2. MyFitnessPal says, "OK, if this girl does absolutely NO exercise at all, she can still lose the weight by eating this amount…

An hour of Zumba & then some abs at home :-)

I'm not sure how to do this... I work until 5, will go to the gym from 5:30-6:30, go home and make dinner for my hubby and kid, bathe said kid, read to said kid, and put said kid to bed and then go to bed myself. The only activity in-between is watching Jeopardy, lol! I can't give up Jeopardy; it's my daily brain boost!…

When I was first dating this dude, he introduced me to his friend. The friend put his arm around my boyfriend, patted his chest, and said, "It's ok, man. I understand. Fat girls need lovin' too." *kitten*, and that was at my skinniest! lol

Ugh, HORRIBLE confession: I've struggled with an eating disorder for years, so I have to keep myself in check. OK...my friends/family seem to always gift with food, and my co-workers always bring in baked goods. Instead of saying "no thanks," I'll actually accept it, take one bite, and then, because I KNOW my willpower is…

Thanks everyone. Sometimes I wonder if there's a placebo effect here. Like...when I go on the meds, I expect to gain weight, so I let myself go off track somewhat. When I go off the meds, I expect to lose weight, so I get back on track 100%. All of these responses are so reassuring and supportive. Thank you. I can do this.…

current! happy dude.

Group fitness classes: Piloxing, Zumba twice a week, TRX HIIT Circuit Training, and Spinning. I get in my cardio and my strength and it's always FUN!

Hi all! I will be turning 30 in less than 5 months & it's my goal to lose 30lbs by my 30th b'day on June 15th. With a weekly weightloss goal of 1.5lbs/week, I think I can do it. I just need some help. I live in Upstate NY, about 45 miles west of Albany where I grew up. I'm a wife and a mother of a beautiful 3 1/2 year old…
