5’4” 44 5/23: 125.6 As far as weight goes, it’s not a bad number. And my skinny clothes fit. But I don’t feel good. My stomach is bloated and my fitness level is lower than it’s been in a while. My goal for this week is to focus on getting back to the gym. I need to get my shape back before seeing family this summer!

Ahh! There has been so much going on with so many excuses and I’ve been falling for all of them. My birthday, Mother’s Day, anniversary, kid’s high school graduation (and all the stress of deadlines for colleges and scholarships), summer trip planned -and then postponed for work trips, then my husband ended up in the…

5’4” 43 4/01: 126.2 4/04: 125.8 4/17: 124.0 It’s a bittersweet loss since I’m not holding out hope of finishing April very strong. My birthday is on the 28th and the family is planning to celebrate at a fondue restaurant. I plan to enjoy myself and that will NOT look god on the scale for at least a couple weeks :)

5’4” 43 4/01: 126.2 4/04: 125.8 4/06: 124.8 All the bloating from the stress of the last couple of weeks is finally gone! The kids have their first day back from spring break today. I’m looking forward to routine again. It’s always helpful for focus. I’m going to run as soon as they get started in class.

5’4” 43 4/01: 126.2 4/04: 125.8 I really wanted to eat a bunch of candy today. The new Kit Kat lemon flavor is SO good! But I logged a couple of pieces and put the rest back because I knew I needed those calories for dinner more. Come dinner time, I was glad I made that choice!

5’4” 43 4/01: 126.2 All the stressful things we had going on last month are over and we’ve heard that we won’t need to move this summer. Yay! So now to refocus my energy. Good luck in April everyone!

5’4” 43 3/01: 124.8 3/18: 124.8 We are supposed to hear in a week or so if my husband’s job will be relocating us. It’s giving me a bit of anxiety. I have been completely depleted of energy this past week. Usually I enjoy going to the gym but this week I’ve had to use all my willpower to get there and get it done. I’ve…

5’4” 43 3/01: 124.8 I’m feeling really excited about my progress. I wasn't very consistent with weight training in February so my muscle development isn’t where I would like it. But we have a lot going on this month too, so I’m going to be content with progress over perfection. Happy birthday @Go_Deskercise !

@TheresaM787 That was a great book!

5’4” 43 2/04: 126.0 2/13: 125.4 2/20: 125.4 2/27: 124.6 😮 I got on and off the scale several times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. I’m sure it will pop back up a little tomorrow, but I’m going to take it for today! According to Happy Scale, my average is less than a quarter a pound per week. It’s hard to stay focused when…

5’4” 43 2/04: 126.0 2/13: 125.4 2/20: 125.4 I’m glad I committed to only one pound this month! We had a lot going on this week and I didn’t exercise for 5 days straight. I did manage to run yesterday and am at the gym for weights now. I saw the scale flirting with 125.2 this morning so I feel like 125 is a possibility by…

5’4” 43 2/04: 126.0 2/13: 125.4 Happy with my weight loss. Not happy that I started my cycle today. For Valentines Day tomorrow, we had a local hotel room booked and were finally going to leave the kids for an overnight stay. Ugh!

@shebalips Here is my holiday tip: Pre-log. Meaning decide ahead of time what you are going to eat. Log it and tweak until you are happy with your plan. Then try your best to stick to the plan. So maybe decide to eat at maintenance. Then log the wine, dessert, appetizer etc so you can see how much of each you want to…

5’4” 43 2/04: 126.0 There is not a part of my body that isn’t sore right now. We took the kids on a short trip. We did a little skiing and tubing, played racquetball, pool and air hockey. I exercise regularly, but apparently these activities use different muscles than I’ve been using? Wow, I’m sore! I didn’t do any weights…

Everyone did so well! I don’t have a final weight for the month because we took the kids on a little trip and there are no scales in the hotel. But I’ve been on track with diet and exercise (typing this while on the treadmill at the hotel gym). My clothes have been fitting well and my husband commented that he noticed I’m…

5’4” 43 1/01: 128.2 1/05: 128.0 1/06: 127.8 1/10: 127.0 1/14: 125.8 1/24: 126.0 I took a bit of an unplanned maintenance break last week. I had my cycle, missed a couple of workouts and we went to a couple of restaurants that I couldn’t track. It felt so good to dress up and get out of the house! I’m looking forward to…

@k8richer Happy Scale is an app for iPhone/Apple that averages your daily weight so you don’t freak out about normal daily fluctuations. It has charts and graphs that make it easy to see if you are headed in the right direction. If you have android, they have an app called Libra that works similarly. Good luck!

I feel like this graph of my weight in 2020 is also a graph of my stress in 2020. My goal for this year is working on ways to deal with stress without bouncing the scale around.

5’4” 43 1/01: 128.2 1/05: 128.0 1/06: 127.8 1/10: 127.0 1/14: 125.8 I saw this number yesterday but didn’t post because I thought maybe it was a fluke. I even went back over my diary to make sure I had it set right. I guess this was the whoosh I’ve been impatiently waiting for since December! Although my ideal range is 122…

@canadjineh LOL. Sorry. Senior in high school. He will graduate in a couple months.

5’4” 43 1/01: 128.2 1/05: 128.0 1/06: 127.8 1/10: 127.0 I normally take Sundays off from the gym but I’m here today to make up for Friday. I didn’t go on Friday because I had to take my senior to get his portraits done. Watching him stand there all dressed up and looking grown was just a crazy experience.

Thanks for the Half Size Me suggestion! I had heard the name before but had just assumed it was more for bigger people. I checked it out at your suggestion in this group and love it. She’s got such great positivity and such straightforward helpful insight.

5’4” 43 1/01: 128.2 1/05: 128.0 1/06: 127.8 I love the support this group provides. Thank you! The news had me drinking and staying up all night last night so now I have a massive headache. But I’m at the gym now, so I hope I feel a bit better when I’m done.

5’4” 43 1/01: 128.2 1/05: 128.0 Anyone else have trouble with still picturing your 30 y/o self as your ideal? I’m 10 years older and my body is not going to look like it’s a 30 y/o body again. I don’t mind the wrinkles and gray hair, but dang I miss the non-saggy skin on my stomach. I feel bigger than I know I am because…

It’s only a pound difference, but I had more muscle then which means I have a lot more fat now. When COVID closed the gyms in the Spring, I lost a lot of…

Also started my cycle. But I already went to the gym this morning and had a great breakfast and lunch. I’m expecting to finish out December…

How can you stay on track if you don’t know what number you are actually going for?!? Last night when I went to bed it said I had 222 calories from…

5’4” 43 12/01: 130.0 12/03: 129.8 12/09: 129.2 12/11: 128.4 I am starting to feel the effects of eating better. My energy is better. It feels really good to be back into running even though I’m not yet at the point that it’s enjoyable. My bloat is also better, though I’m still feeling squishy.
