My older brother was a big teenager. I've always been big too, but I've only just decided to do something about it. So when he picked up the skipping rope and did it for 15 mins a day (at first) and then worked he way up to 30 mins a day, the weight just melted off him. He's a dang twig now. (*) Unfortunately it hasn't has…

At the moment I chew a piece of gum, but I've recently started planing out my main meals so I can have calories left over for snacks. I made a promise though that I would not let my allowance on calories get below 300 though. So once my snacking hits that it's game over for the day. I also enjoy distracting myself with…

@FloraJL good luck and good health!! @Jewels416 I've heard that adding cucumber, lemon etc is a good way to add healthy flavones to plain water. I should stop hearing/seeing it and start doing it. Might make that next weeks challenge! I weighed in this morning and I've lost 1.5kgs/3.3lbs! Super happy! Looking forward to…

Lots of support in this group! Especially in the weekend thread. Welcome! I look forward to working together!

I'm trying! :# Thanks I'll check it out, maybe if you do another in a couple of months then I can join in, hopefully I'm all better by then.

Try rewarding yourself, say every five visits. Get yourself a dumbbell set to have at home as a reward or a new shirt to train in or some sweatpants.

I'm sorry! I would but I have a broken leg and am very limited in what I can do. What is the 30 Day shred in any case?

So how is everyone doing as we come up to the halfway point? I don't weigh myself until Sunday but in terms of eating I think I've done ok. No really bad blowouts and I even managed to attend to physio sessions this week. I'll update on Sunday as to how my weigh in went. Cheers and good choices all! :)

(*) :D (*) Hi There!!

Ah Italian_Buju, you've had such a hard week but that last post sounded like you were going back to your old happy self. You have been able to see how your body reacts to stress and how you react to the stresses in your life. This is the point where I've started to learn that I need to review my stresses and how to tackle…

Thanks for the idea WVMountainMamma! I used to put a splash of lime cordial in it and that worked, so I might give it a go again. I'm going to have to stop drinking soda too Italian_Buju, I believe I'm getting headaches from it. Yay!!!....

Thanks for all the information guys! I'll be able to make a better decision about what kind of tracker I want. :D
-
Thanks MeanderingMammal! It's looking like a great option with it's stats. Cheers I'll go check that one out Jinxy23, Ta mate!
-
Thank you!! :D I'll go have a look at them and if I can get them locally. I can wait a couple of months anyway, still trying to learn to walk unassisted but I'm working hard :# Thanks again!

Hmmm I'm very sure I posted more than that.... Anyway, completed the water physio goal like a boss. And I'm totally owning my tracking in MFP too! Been a better week for me for once! Found a Zumba playlist on YouTube I'll try the mini challenge to instead: https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC5F721102B2EA89B Keep up the…

Hi there! My SW: 141kgs/310.9lb and as of Sunday last week my CW: 138.6kg/305.6lb. So I don't have too far to go but it'll still a looonnnggggg journey after that. Congrats to those already under and keep going to those of us still above. I see the light, we all will! :#

Hi! Newbie here! My goals are: 1. Attend my 2 water physio sessions 2. Log everything I eat 3. Chew on gum when I'm 'Bored Hungry' instead of over eating 4. Try for 1 bottle of plain water a day (terrible at drinking it! Working on it) I'll give the dancing mini challenge a go, I managed an awkward nutbush a couple of…

Hi I'm Katie and I'm from Australia. My weight has steadily rose as I aged (now 27) and I reached my highest yet last year (147kg/324lb). My CW is 141kg/310lb. I've been on MFP for a few years and it did work for a time but I never joined groups or communities before. I also have a broken leg at the moment so that has…

Hi there! I've got roughly 133lb to loose (60kgs). So I know it's going to be a long journey. I'd love to share it with you all. A friend told me to set up one of these. Put pebbles or $1 coins (I'm Australian) in it and for every lb/kg I loose I get to switch it over! Another idea is to take a long length of string with…

I guess I'm in. Might help with my lack of motivation. I'm 141kgs, I'm aiming for 2kgs, love to be 80kgs eventually.

Victorian 27 year old. I broke my leg last year and it's been super complicated to get it to heal. Mostly because I'm morbidly obese (141.2kgs at the time of surgery). I've managed to lose a little under 5kgs so far but I'm only just beginning to weight bare on the leg again. Always the largest in any group (friends,…
