Coffee Beans. Plain greek yogurt, Balkan Yogurt and skyr. Cottage cheese. Boneless, skinless chicken breast. Eggs. Oats (actually and oat, chia, flax seed, quinoa blend I buy). Rye bread. Natural crunchy Peanut butter. Zucchini, cauliflower, green beans and asparagus. Milk. Those are the staples that make it in my grocery…

Thanks for the input everyone. I have uped his calories by 250 per day, mostly protein, because he was continuing to loose 2 lbs per week and thats not necessary now. He just has that tiny little bit left at his low back/stomach. I'm going through Lyle McDonalds book, it's an interesting read, we are implementing some of…

Reading this update made me very happy! Congratulations. That is the exact same experience I had with the fitbit.

My weight gain was not linear at all. It happened exactly how my weight loss happens. I would stay within a certain range and then all of a sudden one day I would be 2 lbs higher. I would then stay in that range for a while and then all of a sudden 2 lbs higher. I weigh every day during gain or loss.

Thanks everyone for your input. @sardelsa, his last major cut was about 7 years ago after his first bulk and he got very lean, but he was following a program and the diet was Severe, i think there was one point he almost passed out during the day and then binged on rice cakes (seriously what a horrible thing to binge on).…

The Macro's on these are exactly the same as skinny cow, 150 calories, only 4 gm of protein and high sugar with 16 gm. I don't know where the "greek yogurt" is because there is more protein in a regular ice cream sandwich. It's just a marketing ploy, capitalizing on the greek yogurt craze going on right now, but nothing…

Three of my favourite songs on multiple of my playlists are Turbulence by Steve Aoki feat Lil John, Block Rockin' Beats by The Chemical Brothers and When a Fire Starts to Burn by Disclosure. Anything by Deadmaus and Daft Punk is great.

I became a little too obsessed with my fitbit, going fitbit-less was a very positive thing for me. Once I hit a certain a goal of steps I felt bad if i didn't meet or exceed that goal... well you can't just keep going up, up, up right. Also since my strength training sessions and cycling didn't register with the fitbit, it…

It is true you did not get overweight by eating too many fruits and vegetables, you got overweight by eating too many calories. Fruits and vegetables have calories, if you don't count them in your calorie total you will be eating more of the other foods. I guess it all depends on how much of them you are eating... my…

Extreme Pita... Thai chicken (small 241 calories, regular 425), Chicken fajita (small 289 calories, regular 523)... pita, chicken, vegetables easy to eat on the go, and filling. We also have a place called Hero Burger here, I like the turkey burger and the salmon burger.

My husband is 6'0, started at 200 lbs 6 weeks ago. I started him on a 2400 calorie per day diet, more food and carbs than you listed in your post, and he has lost 2 lbs per week, he is now 185 lbs 6 weeks later, has 5 more to go. You very potentially are netting a 1000 calorie per day deficit from your maintenance baseline.

Definitely #1 Hip thrusts, #2 split squats.

What type of foot injury? when I injured my foot and couldn't run I cross trained with the stationary bike and did a lot of strength training.

I'm a female 5'6, started at 110 lbs, now 120 lbs after 7 months of bulking (long and slow, i know, but the results are happening). I had to figure out for myself my calorie needs because when I listened to MFP I just lost weight. Currently I am eating approx. 3000 calories a day, but my weight gain has stalled past 4…

I add peanut butter to oatmeal. Also mix it into yogurt.

Former endurance athlete here, currently bulking. I didn't start gaining weight until I significantly cut back on cardio and really focussed on strength training. I was running at minimum 10 km 43-45 minutes, depending on hilliness, 4 times per week, cross training cardio 2 days, throwing in strength training 3 times per…

My husband and I get a special cheesecake every Saturday for our treat. We only buy 1 piece each and bring it home, when we buy a whole cake we always go back for seconds (and maybe thirds) and then end up feeling sick. It's so much more enjoyable when we just have one piece, so buying single servings is a great way to…

I buy my little man Dannon MiniGo. No fruit bits. I get strawberry, blueberry and banana flavours. This is the only yogurt he will eat, I have tried numerous brands.

My best friends mother has always eaten a low fat, higher carb diet. She has maintained a healthy weight but decided she wanted to loose 10 lbs for vanity sake. This was right when Atkins was all the rage, so she did the Atkins diet and ended up gaining 10 lbs instead of loosing. She went back to her low fat, higher carb…

Take this incident as a learning moment, figure out why you binged on cookies so you are better prepared in the future. Next time you go to reach for the cookie bag remember how you feel now and put the bag back down. It's one day, its not going to make you or break you, but if you don't learn anything form it than its a…

I started getting hungry in between meals and started snacking too. I was consuming snacks almost the same calorie allotment as my meals! I found by just increasing the amount I ate at each meal prevented my need to snack. Example.. adding 100 calories to my breakfast prevented a 300 calorie snack in between breakfast and…

Adore Kettlebells!!!! I do 2-3 60 minute continuous workouts per week, mixed into my 6 day workout schedule. I used to be a long distance runner, now I'ma long-distance kettlebeller.

Weight loss aside, your body needs proper amounts of protein to function properly. Protein is not just for muscle, it is also an important building block of bones, cartilage, blood and skin, it is required to make hormones and enzymes in the body and is essential for proper repair of tissues. Unlike Carb's and fat, the…

^^ exactly me :) If anything it underestimated my burn with the intense weight training because it didn't recognize my training as a workout only when I walked. It did give me an idea of a bare minimum of what I needed and let me see that I wasn't eating enough (MFP greatly underestimated my needs, even set at high…

Well my feeling is, you can keep doing what your doing and therefore keep getting the same results, or you can try something different. I'm pretty sure only eating 100-200 more calories a day is not going to make your BF% skyrocket. Sometimes you have to change the way you think to accomplish your goals. In regards to your…

All great advice here. I really liked that FFB syndrome read. In bulking and weight gain I'm more on the receiving end of advice than giving, but I'll give you my personal experience and maybe it will make you feel more comfortable increasing your calories. I'm female, 5'6, 115 lbs. I started last August at 110 lbs decided…

If you are consuming the pre-workout in isolation (just mixed with water) than the "energy" you get from a pre workout is mainly from caffeine and supposedly from a few other vitamins and supplements thrown in. It's almost completely calorie free. I believe C4 has 5 calories a serving. The calories you are burning from a…

If your main goal is to tone and not loose weight, exercise not diet is going to assist you in that. I also agree with everyone else and you are very likely eating more than you think. However, the reason I click don this thread was because of the title "Starting Monday!". I always think why put off for later what you can…
