Hi, I have a 2 year old and am pregnant with my second. I would say don't worry about the postpartum period, just focus on a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Aim to gain a healthy amount of weight, that is different for everyone depending on your starting weight. Focus on healthy, balanced meals with fruit and vegetables,…

If you look at the macronutrient breakdown of the Village Inn Denver omelette, there is 52 gm of fat, 37 gm of protein and 61 gm of carbs! indicating that there is a lot more ham/cheese/oil/butter and likely pancake batter in the omelette than you are considering.

Height 5'6. Weight 122.5 lbs Age:33, 2nd pregnancy (1st son is 2 years old) Goal to gain 20-25 lbs Week 10: 120.5 (-2) So much nausea 24/7 this first trimester. I need this to finish. Still keeping up with my workouts 5 days a week although the intensity has diminished a bit due to fatigue.

Hi, I'm due August 19th. Just had an Ultrasound at 10 wk4d and got to see the little bean squirming around. This is my second.

I aim for both visible ab definition and curves, but you got to let the abs hide for a bit in order to build the curves. I'm 5'6.

There is no connection between miscarriage and exercise. That being said I would 100% freak out if I had started bleeding during any of pregnancies and attributed it to all the things I had done, just try and relax and take it easy. I did have a miscarriage last year, but it was a missed miscarriage, no bleeding, and full…

Hi, I am also pregnant with my second (8.5 weeks), my first just turned 2. I also had a miscarriage last Christmas. I am an avid exerciser and have continued with all my usual workouts (sprinting, cycling, rowing, weight lifting, kettlebells, etc), I just listen to my body and if I need to drop the intensity I do. My OB…

I lose weight on 2200-2400 calories a day, 2800 to maintain. There was a point in life i tried to stick with a 1600 calorie per diet and it nearly destroyed me. My activity level is on the rather high side. I had to figure out my calories by trial and error, the only way you are going to know what is exactly right for you…

I always keep my treadmill at 1% baseline incline. Then go up from there to simulate hills. I try and run for extended intervals at higher inclines, I find it really helps for when I get outside.

I worked out 6 days a week 60-120 minutes a day running, rowing, biking, weights, kettlebell, TRX, you name it. I had to modify activities as my belly grew and joints became more lax. I can say the TRX was awesome during the third trimester when your balance starts to be off. I got slower and lifted less heavy as my…

I'm 5'6, maintain at 120 lbs. I eat the same amount every day despite if I workout or not, it just works best for me. I'm very active and workout 60-90 minutes 5-6 days a week. I maintain at 2850 calories. My weight fluctuates very little, within a 2 lb range max. If i move outside that range I'm either starting to lose or…

If you buy a box of cereal/crackers/pasta/whatever, container of milk, bag of bread, yes there are multiple servings. No the company is not going to put on its label Only 1000 calories for this box of cereal/bag of bread etc, they are going to post what the serving size is. Yes, for many foods there are individually…

That "bulky" look takes a crap-load of hard work and time to get, and still isn't always possible. Exercise regularly, eat in a deficit and you shall start to be leaner and more "toned".

Alfalfa sprouts and all the other sprout varieties. Almond Butter! I LOVE PB, I tried to eat almond butter for variety, but every time I had it I just choked it down wishing it was PB, so I thought why? Beans of any kind. I keep wanting to like black beans, but it's not happening.

Well it supports what I experienced, that essentially the difference between my bulk diet and what I'm maintaining at now is a tbsp or two of peanut butter. The difference between bulking and maintaining is so small, but I swear that going from maintenance to cut takes way more effort and calorie drop than just a tbsp or 2…

Morton's Steakhouse is one of my favourite restaurants and the original location is in Chicago. When I was there it was the first restaurant we went too.

I've broken a few toes in my time. I just taped it and carried on with my usual activities, running included after the first week and half. Cycling didn't bother it at all.

This is awesome!!!!! congratulations.

5-7 lb gain in a week is nuts! Results don't happen overnight and scale weight doesn't say anything about physique, body composition or actual progress, especially in short time frames. Eat well, eat enough, work out. Have a hard time getting the calories in eat a few tablespoons of pb with every meal, Eat half a cup of…

I've been involved with a fertility clinic for the past 4 years and successfully conceived my first little guy naturally 2 years ago, trying to conceive my second now. In general, moderate daily exercise is recommended to improve fertility... what you are doing sounds moderate (intense is not recommended, no activity is…

Based on your stats and post it doesn't really sound like you need/want to be eating at a deficit? You can trial eating more. I am 5'6, 120 lbs. I used to be 110 lbs. to get to 120 I had to eat about 3200 calories a day. I gained the 10 lbs of mainly muscle over 8 months. I definitely didn't get fat. Now I maintain around…

I walk 6-10 miles a day on workout days and rest days. I workout 6 days a week 60-90 minutes ketllebells, rowing, running, weights. I definitely can't imagine just sitting for a day, I'd go nuts.
-
I pretty much eat the exact same things every day... porridge, greek yogurt, peanut butter, rye bread, chicken, vegetables.

You mentioned you have a dog.... "cardio" doesn't have to be on a machine at the gym, do you take your dog on walks? 15 minute walk before work, 15 minute walk after work, there you go, 30 minutes of cardio. If that's too much than start lower. As you progress you can build on duration and/or intensity. Incorporating some…

Chewing gum causes you to swallow air, causing gas to get trapped in the GI system, same reason for carbonated beverages.
-
Avoid chewing gum, carbonated beverages, sugar alcohols, salty foods, and eating too much at one time.

Carbs.... pasta, rice, fruit, candy (if you don't care where the calories come from), bread. Higher fat isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as its not all saturated and trans fats. What are you eating thats higher fat. I follow a 3000 TDEE and have a hard time getting my fat over the 25% range, about 75-80 gm per day. I…

I've done both, they are 2 different types of workouts, so not really interchangeable in my opinion. If you feel like you want to try something new then try something new. Crossfit is shorter and more strength based, working towards specific goals such as progressing your deadlift, row time etc etc. OTF is longer and more…

These issues don't just apply to tall women. I am 5'6 (168 cm), weigh 120 lbs (54.5 kg). I eat approximately 2700-3000 calories a day. I am very active and I train hard. I used to be competitive in adventure racing, running, biking and skiing. With most sports I have always trained with the boys. Now I am a stay at home…
