Here's screen shot, the first elliptical is from my activity monitor, the second is what MFP says I burned. My activity monitor is also less than what the machine says I've burned.
-
One thing to check for, if you're used to using Polar with gym equipment where your heart rate controls the machine, you may loose that feature.
-
Which polar are you using, if you connect MFP to Polar Flow it will use the calories from your device, but you have to have and apple device right now. If you don't have an apple device use your calories from your polar device they will be more accurate. Also use the one on your training/activity/bmr screen, They are minus…

First of all if it's something you want, then it's not a waste of money, it's your money!! Will you be be doing any other exercises, or do you just want to track your daily activities?
-
Not today dude, you keep doing you, I'll keep doing me!!!!
-
you only wear it when working out, this is the only time it tracks your calorie burn by your heart rate, it tracks your estimated daily calorie burn by your activities/steps and your BMR when you're not active. Do you swim? If so this is something else to consider when choosing a HRM
-
Swimming is great exercise when you have an sprang ankle.
-
I don't do the competition, but you are able to do it using the polar flow app

As Far as I can tell nothing is going to be 100% accurate, but they will be close., the M400 and V800 uses the Vo2 test, and so far today mine shows a total of 2142 cal burn training 573 Cal (65 mins vigorous cardio) activity 413 (6000+ steps) and BMR 1160. I don't get false steps from just driving, but I do work with my…

Polar has all in one gadgets, the Loop, A300, M400, and V800 all use a chest strap that you only wear when working out. Garmin has some to that use a chest strap.
-
I've used my activity monitor using the strength training profile, and I usually get the 150 to 200 cals per hour burn, since I'm working out by myself there is no long period of standing around between sets, I can be done in 30 mins. With the advances in electronics in the past 32 years since HRM's have been on the market…

I looked at your thread because I was curious about the question, and didn't answer because I didn't really understand it. Then started reading the comments to get a better understanding, and notice some of the posters seem to answer alot post on MFP, and never with any helpful comments, just rude selfish ones. You will…

Polar M400 has profiles, one for strength training, get your heart rate when paired with a chest strap. I have a V800 and use that profile when I'm lifting, it doesn't give me an outrageous calorie burn, not to much more than my BMR.

I did a Cruise with NCL last month, they had a very nice fitness center with plenty of equipment treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, spin class, some dumbbells, and weight resistance machines also the middle deck was where you could jog. Didn't open till 6 which was fine, was there every morning. A lot more equipment than…

I have a Polar V800 that I used for exercise and daily activity, and a clip on for a program that I was in at work. Depending on my activity for the day, They would be off from a couple of hundred steps to a couple of thousand. On days when I used the Precor Elliptical, (without holding the handle) the clip on and the…

Not with Polar Flow app, I'm not sure about any third party apps.
-
If there is a track near you, just take a few laps, Most tracks are 1/4 mile do a mile and check your steps.
-
You could also go with an Polar A300 or M400 and maybe spend less or just as much and have an all in one device to keep up with all your calories for the day. Only thing is Polar Flow app only syncs with MFP through apple products right now, they are still working on an android link…

Try this site, Polar and Garmin have products to fit most of your needs, but not as stylish as the Pop http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/

If you're serious into working out, a Fitbit is not the best choice, something with a chest strap would probably be more accurate giving you your heart rate, and depending on what activities you do, a Garmin or Polar would be a better option. They both sync with MFP. Polar has profiles for almost every exercise you can…
-
If it's not one that you can sync with MFP, you would probably be better off using the MFP activity level based on how many steps you take in a day.

What type of tracker are you using?
-
You have to work you way up to it, don't strain yourself trying to get there. When I started 2.5 years ago, if I could go beyond 2.5 mins intervals at a time I was doing good, now I'm doing 60 mins with no problem. With a polar H7 Sensor, you can see your heart rate on the machine and also it will control the incline/level…

agree with others, anytime you go over your calories count. Sunday I had a Iced honey bun, banana, Steak n Shake single burger fries and shake and was under by 1200 calories, but all what some consider cheat foods. It all depends on what you're counting and how you feel about it.
-
If you're looking for something for running, you would be better of with a Polar are Garmin with GPS features, they will give you what you want, and they come with chest straps which is all so better when doing actual exercise. They will also track your daily activity.

your phone missed some steps. Roll Tide
-
If you're running everyday keeping your heart rate elevated, you don't have do the 10000 steps, there are several other ways to get exercise in with out following that myth. http://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/adults/index.htm
-
Are you using any of the exercise profiles, that's the only way they will show up.
-
It's a watch with chest strap, (I prefer the chest strap, as I only want to monitor my heart rate when I'm doing some sort of exercise activity), and pricey, but they have other options. If you want to monitor all day activity, the have the A300 (swimming) and M400 (GPS) with H7 sensor, they both monitor steps and give an…

Did you get it in writing? if so they should have to abid by the original contract.
