As a diver fogging in masks is a big problem, defog works wonders. Any Dive shop would have it, or you can get it from Amazon.

Swimming for cardio, have you been to a orthopedic doctor? or foot and ankle doctor?

I I think I have it figure out. It's coming from MFP and syncing to flow. It's giving me credit for the 2nd exercise when I sync in the evening. then it syncs to flow when I connect my open the app on my Ipod.
-
It looks like it's getting someone else's exercise, the times vary. I use a V800 and only sync twice a day, in the morning after my workout and before bed. The random workout is show up at different times, has different heart rate average, but the times will be a few seconds different.
-
In addition to mine. training activity that is. the running training is not mine. It happened Monday and Tuesday.
-
Here are the CDC guidelines. if you're exercising steps don't matter. dont fall for the 10000 steps a day myth, it doesn't do much for you with out throwing some exercise in there https://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/adults/index.htm
-
If you are using a Loop, everything will come up running or jogging. It has to be a device that you enter the exercise into and then sync with Polar Flow.
-
for polar if you want GPS and swimming, they have the V800, they just came out with the M600, but I'm not sure if it does both.
-
Yes you will need the HRM, if you don't it will only track the length of your work out when using the selected profile.
-
Are you asking for the A300 activity tracker?
-
I don't put diving as and exercise. I do vigorous cardio for 1 hour, and usually burn between 550 and 650 calories. MFP gives me 630 calories for 1 hour of scuba diving. And I know I don't burn that much lugging that gear around.
-
I would take it, that you weren't working out when this happened. So I would think that if your heart started beating that fast you would know it! Probably just one of those glitches. I've been using a polar chest strap for 4 years for 1 hr a day 4 to 5 days a week. while I've gotten some glitch readings on gym equipment…

What was your heart rate, speed, during those 45-55 mins,? what range, (Moderate/vigorous/very vigorous)?
-
Not as active as the Fitbit community. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/102409-polar-users
-
haven't used a fitbit, but on the syncing issue. Polar will only sync using and apple product (IOS operating system).
-
Here's what the CDC and WHO call vigorous. https://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/measuring/heartrate.htm
-
If you're doing cardio during your exercise don't worry about the 10k step myth. work more on getting your heart rate up during exercise. http://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/adults/index.htm

This would depend on the which HRM your using. Mine will subtract them. IE: my calorie burn for the elliptical was 577 this morning total, but when I look at my actual calorie burn for the day, for training it was 478 which is then added to my bmr. I think where alot of people get confused is whether or not a person is…
-
This would depend on what device you are using. I have a polar, and it doesn't double count when you set it to walking. So even though it tells how many calories you've burned walking, it doesn't let you double dip. If you have it set to negative adjustments, it will only give you the calories your device says you've…

Polar is having a problem with their syncing, it's supposed to be resolved today, don't reset your device. You may lose information.
-
you can do it if you are using an Apple device, doesn't work with android, or the web :-1: it's under apps, Polar Flow, once you link them, the negative adjustments should show up.
-
this may be a premium feature. Do you have your Polar account linked to MFP
-
It's done through the web page, under settings, diary setting, enable negative adjustments.
-
The negative is the difference between my actual estimated calories from my V800 compared to the estimated MFP estimates. It logs those number to MFP . It will also adjust positive when my V800 estimate is higher.
-
When you have negative adjustments selected, MFP will subtract from it's daily calorie burn to match your device actual calorie burn. From the attachments I have 327 added exercise which is my actual estimated calorie burn 527 minus my estimated daily calories under what MFP estimates 254. The bottom 2 are from a day when…

While I'm not using the A360 but the V800, my step total will be under by 2500 to 3000 steps some days, and over by 1000 on others, this is compared to a hip base pedometer. So it balances out. The only way I get 100% daily activity is when I work out with a heart rate of at least 80% for 60 min. I do 60 mins of vigiourous…
-
If you never want to "progress" by his standards that is!
-
You can enable polar negative calorie adjustments, this will go by your calorie from your A360 instead of MFP
