You can enable polar negative calorie adjustments, this will go by your calorie from your A360 instead of MFP

don't know how much you want to spend but here is one that will work for swimming https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TXHZIAI/ref=twister_B00TZJGAPG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I'm guessing you're not using an apple product. While I'm not sure about it, I've read that app. There is a Polar group on MFP that may be able to provide you with more answers.

I have a Polar V800, the alarm makes a low chirping sound and vibrates

The Polar A300 will give you your heart rate in water. it uses BT out of water and gymlink in. It works with swimming and water aerobics .http://www.polar.com/us-en/products/lifestyle/A300

I started at 50, (now 54) with the simple CDC guideline. My goal was to get off HBP medication, while I'm not completely off, I only take it twice a week. I went 6 months with out taking it without any problem. I'm now doing 60 mins of vigorous cardio 5 days a week. plan to start swimming and lifting on the weekends.…

With the H7 it will not only work with your phone, but also with most cardio equipment to display your heart rate on the machine. It will also control the level and resistance using the machines cardio settings.

What's wrong with a couple of slices of pizza after a good workout? I always have to get something to eat right after I workout, if I don't I'll pig out the rest of the day. And as far as encouragement, are these small independent gyms going to call you and encourage you to workout? Motivation has to come from within to…

Exercise will only show up if you use the profiles, and will only sync using an apple product.

If using your heart rate with the machines is important to you, the Polar H7 sensor syncs up with them to display your HR and control the incline/resistance. It works with all their activity monitors to keep up with your steps during the day. If you're going to buy one, Amazon has better prices. http://www.polar.com/us-en

the point was this research isn't anything new, they both say basically the same thing.

This just in http://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/adults/index.htm

I've had this problem a couple of times, I would reset everything between the 2. Also sometimes going in set up on MFP and syncing works also.
-
I haven't had any problem with mine, I'm syncing through polar flow.
-
I do it because I'm able to go to bed at a reasonable time. My latest time to be in bed is 9:45, I'm up at 3:45. I have everything ready to go before going to bed, so in the morning it's just taking care of the morning essentials. Most of the time I'm up before the alarm goes off.

Polar M400 has gps with chest strap sensor. Only draw back is it only syncs with MFP using apple devices. http://www.amazon.com/Polar-Sports-Watch-Heart-Monitor/dp/B00NPZ7WNU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461674457&sr=8-1&keywords=polar+watch+m400

Look at your HR chart, for me it's usually up and down during walking, which can throw the reading off. they are better for steady state cardio.
-
Polar H7 is compatible using an Apple device
-
what are you using to get the data? the H7 works better when you can set your V02 max.
-
Polar can be synced with MFP using an Apple device.
-
Elliptical at a high pace, 180 to 200 spm, or 7 to 8 mph
-
Polar M400 with H7 sensor will give you GPS for outdoor, and gymlink to display and control the incline on treadmills.
-
What brand did you have before? How long did you have it?
-
don't know what elliptical you're use to seeing but the ones I use, you are diffidently not gliding.
-
If the purpose of the challenge is to motivate people to move more then you should get credit for them. And that is the purpose of most step challenges.
-
yea, I only do them to motivate others, so would't be like the OP friend. :-)

I was showing how an arm based activity tracker misses steps. but if you want you use algorithms using the same device, I use a cadence sensor with my V800 and the steps per min is in sync with my pedometer, and the elliptical, (around 180 to 190 spm), over 11000 steps per hour a distance of 5.17 miles, while my activity…
-
Here's a comparison of my activity monitor, and pedometer. This was 68 mins on the elliptical with out holding the handles.
-
Getting over 10000 steps in an hour is easy for me, 180 to 190 strides and hour to keep my heart rate over 80%, this using a hip based pedometer.
