Not everybody will be on your side and sadly family sometime falls into this category. I think the important thing is that you don't let them get under your skin. When people judge others it usually says more about them then it does about you. Maybe next time you see them you have some sassy retorts lined up to put them in…

@MissTitch It depends on your portion of nuts. Opt for buying bags of raw pecans or cashews that are not pre-salted, then toast them on a baking sheet in the oven, that way you avoid the added sodium. You'll have to check out the dried fruit selection at your local super market to see what they offer. My favorites are…

It can be impossible to lose weight if you are unmediated. I did not realize my thyroid had any problems last year, and my doctor shrugged it off giving me a lecture about dieting and eating right when I told him something was wrong. I went from 130 lbs to 195 lbs in four months, even when on the second month of gaining…

Air popped popcorn, dried fruits, nuts, vegetable chips, coconut flakes. I love dehydrated green beans a lot right now. It helps to dedicate a night to making up some snack packs. My husband and I weigh out the portions and ziplock them to take with us all week on the go. I always have something healthy to grab in my purse.

I have a food scale. You can find a reasonably priced one on Amazon.

It takes time, time and more time. I know for myself, it helps to take photos to compare. Sometimes, when I feel fat and like I'm not making much progress, I take new pictures and compare them to my "before" pictures and then I can see my progress. Your brain can lie to you about your body but the camera won't! 4 sticks of…

I am a long time sufferer of debilitating migraines. I have tried many medications, had many brain scans and have seen many doctors and specialists but nothing really helped. Now I have cannabutter in the freezer and I have some over some veggies whenever I start to go blind and it works to ease things right before the…

You can add me!

Add me! I still have 45 lbs to lose and could use some support!

I have an UP and it logs my activity better than my Fitbit did when I wear both. The problem with skating is that you are moving in a fluid motion and the motion sensor isn't moving back and forth enough to trigger. I have the same problem when I go grocery shopping because when I push the cart, my bands assume that I am…

Do you eat enough fiber? Women need about 25g a day. If I don't eat enough fiber, I end up binging because I don't feel full, no matter what I eat. I need that fiber or else I'm a bottomless pit.
-
Look for low calorie/high fiber foods you enjoy, such as an apple or pear. Red lentil soup has about 150 calories a bowl with 10g of fiber so it keeps you filled up for hours. I make sure to get my 25g of fiber daily and feel so full I have trouble eating enough calories. If I don't eat a lot of fiber, I feel as if I am…

If you work out during your period and it makes you feel worse, talk to your gyno and have them check for endometriosis. I know working out causes my symptoms to worsen.

I always log my food on my phone right before I take the first bite. It always holds me accountable and has become a healthy habit. My life is spontaneous so logging in the morning is not an option because my plans change often with little notice. I plan an entire week's meals out with the recipe calculator when I make my…

It really varies from person to person. Everybody's skin is different; some people having more elasticity to it than others. My husband lost 100 lbs and he had lots of loose, empty skin hanging around his waist that hung there for about five years until we could afford for him to have it surgically removed.

I'm doing the same thing. My weight had an adverse effect on TTC so even though I still track my cycle on Glow, we are no longer actively trying until I lose 25 more lbs and reach a healthy weight. We TTC for about a year before my doctor told me losing the extra weight would increase my fertility. Now the thought of…

Mine used to wear through. Then I switched to a more athletic brand and no longer have any problems.

@loveby30 This is the best comment I have read all day!

I have terrible cramps during so I skip working out those days. It's not the end of the world if I pamper myself on my four painful days out of the month. No guilt because I workout extra hard and long once I'm no longer crampy.
-
I have this same problem the weeks I get my period. For that reason, during that week I no longer weigh myself, and wait for a few days after when I am no longer bloated.

It's different for everyone's body. Quitting doesn't mean you'll gain weight. In fact, it will probably only have a positive effect on your body as long as you manage any stress the first three days after quitting. After that, the craving become fewer and father between. Just don't binge during the three day withdrawal…

I cook all my own food so I don't ever use the labels. Since you made a list of your favorite potassium foods, do you have any favorite, healthy recipes that use those ingredients? Of course I have googled it. I am asking the MFP community for their favorite healthy recipes that are rich in potassium since this is a recipe…

So bananas are your favorite potassium rich food. I don't eat them much because of the sugar content but I would be willing to give them a try. Do you have any good, healthy banana recipes to share?
-
Please share some high potassium, healthy recipes! How about something with lots of spinach?

Nobody has any good potassium rich recipes? Come on, I know someone out there does!

I have had both and I found that I liked the UP better than the UP24 because I found that the Bluetooth sync drained my iPhone battery in just a couple hours while I was wearing it. Otherwise they are the same.
