I found the group under the new groups catagorey and tried to join but it's still not showing up under my group lists.

I'd love to join as well. Is this going to be a group?

Feel free to add me! I always welcome new friends and health buddies! I started on MFP a little over a year ago and lost 40 lbs. I maintained that weight loss through the summer and now I am determined to lose the last 30 lbs to return to the weight I was before my thyroid problems started.

For me, I didn't notice a difference until I went from an obese BMI to overweight BMI. Now that I am a healthy BMI, I notice a big difference in how I feel from when I was obese. For example: I have more energy, my sleep apnea went away, I don't get winded walking up five flights of stairs, I can walk 16 miles before I…

If you have low B12, you can have your doctor give you a prescription for B12 injections. The B pills tear my stomach up too so the only way I can take it is with a shot.

I love new fitness friends! I lost 40 lbs last winter and maintained my weight loss over the summer. Now I'm determined to lose the last 30 lbs to be at my goal weight. Add me!

You aren't a failure; you're a beautiful, complex person that just ate some chicken nuggets. Don't beat yourself up over it. As long as you don't get discouraged and give up, it won't matter in the long run if you are eating healthy most of the days of the month. Self-compassion is an important part of getting healthy.

Besides the obvious counting calories and weighing portions, there are a few tricks I've found helpful in losing and maintaining my weight-- 1) Drink a glass of water before every meal. 2) Really look at your food, think about how it tastes and the texture. Chew slowly and enjoy it. When I mindlessly eat, I tend to eat too…

I had a similar problem, and ended up having low B12, so now I have to give myself monthly injections. I hate needles but feeling better is worth the discomfort.

I'm 27, have hypo and took 40 lbs off with MFP last winter. During the summer, I worked at maintaining my current weight, but ideally I have about 35 lbs more to lose; just over halfway to my goal. Now that I am focusing on losing weight again, I would love some active friends on here, especially those who know how hard…

I weigh every morning nude, after I use the bathroom.

I'm 27 and lost 40 lbs on MFP last winter, but this summer I took a break and worked on maintaining at my current weight. Now, I feel ready to start losing again and I need some active friends. I'd love to lose around 25-30 lbs more by my birthday next July. Add me!

If you eat below 1200 calories and go below the starving threashold, your thyroid hormones drop and weight loss will slow. Your body thinks that food is scarce and will hold onto fat and try to burn less energy so that you don't starve to death as quickly.

It's probably your bra. If you're over a B cup, then you should spend the $40 for a Fiona Sports Bra by Moving Comfort. Recently I went on a quest to find the best sports bra because of my back pain when I run. I've owned maybe a dozen different bras and this one is the only one that supports enough.

I've been there and it's very scary. Good luck with your job search. I hope you land a new position soon.

A small baked potato is a great base for a meal, but you should add some toppings. It's a blank canvas and you can do almost anything with it. Some healthy toppings include: steamed veggies, black beans, greek yogurt, turkey and swiss, salsa, red onion, grilled chicken breast... there are so many ways to turn it into an…

5'5'' 26, self-employed SW: 195 CW: 155 GW: 130 -135 ish I've lost 40 lbs so far on MFP and am looking to lose 20-25 more. I've been working on getting fit and losing my extra weight since November, 2014 and have lost an average of 1.8 lbs a week (of course some weeks I lose a bit more than others). My diary is open and I…

On a slightly related note- another myth I've heard about coconut oil is that it works as an alternative for sunscreen. This is not true, as it does not provide sufficient SPF blockage.

On Saturday, I walked and hiked 10 miles and didn't even feel a little tired. I only returned home because I got hungry or else I could have kept walking. Being lighter makes physical activity much more enjoyable and my knees no longer hurt. This thread is great! Reading all of the victories is really inspiring!

Crashing your metabolism everyday is exactly how my grandmother ended up with diabetes.

This is exactly what I was thinking as I was reading through the comments.

I would love to give my added support to anyone who needs it! I've lost over 30 lbs but still need to lose about 30 more. I'm on a 1200 cal diet and would love to trade recipes or just keep each other motivated. 26/ 5'5" SW: 195 CW: 163 GW: 130-135

My thighs and butt get huge and lose weight the slowest. I'm definitely pear shaped.

Check your sugar and sodium intake yesterday as they can cause water retention weight.

First of all, OP, I love the Eero Saarinen Tulip Chair in your profile picture. Second, I think what @runfoorun said is pretty accurate. If you lose motivation, just try to maintain for awhile until your motivation is renewed. It's not a failure of you don't reach your goal, as long as you keep off what you lost. It isn't…
