Thank you from me too for all you do, and please be safe. I wish the government would use the money allocated to build the stupid wall to improve hospital capacity, medical equipment, and payment for the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff instead. The governor of California ordered today another shut-down of non…

I wash my hands before leaving the house, I also use sanitizing gel (always in my purse and a small one in the car), but I don't' wear a mask inside the car. I am very claustrophobic and wearing a mask is not easy on me; I put my mask before leaving the car, and I take it off as soon as I am inside the car, and I use…

Before we start planning to send the kids back to school, let's have this pandemic under control. And I say this with lots of respect and understanding for what the parents are going thru. "The director-general of the World Health Organization warned this week that the coronavirus pandemic is accelerating and the virus has…

Some articles of interest. Although I admit that are not easy to read. 'Silent spreaders' may be responsible for half of Covid-19 cases, study finds https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/07/health/covid-19-silent-spreaders-wellness/index.html I got Covid-19 two months ago. I'm still discovering new areas of damage -- Richard Quest…

@GaleHawkins It has been know for a while that people that recuperated from COVID-19 didn't have a considerable amount of antibodies, and if they did they were probably immune for 2 or 3 months only. Si far the same doesn't apply to vaccination because we don't have enough data about it. What is written in the paragraph…

On top of the list anything with cinnamon or garlic, honey and syrups, nutella, any kind of milks that are not from a cow. Follow by other things as well, but the list would be too lengthy for this thread ;) .

This outrageous!!! Woman spits on 7-Eleven counter after being asked to wear a mask https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2020/07/02/7-eleven-mask-incident-viral-video-spits-counter/5368869002/

I just read this article on line. It fits your posting. A healthy 30-year-old man went to a crowded bar. He ended up in a hospital on a breathing tube https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/01/us/arizona-man-crowded-bar-covid-hospital/index.html

That is the difference between the US and your country! We in America are living in highly politicize and negative times, and the words of totally unfit people take priority over science. Restrictions of any kind, even for our own good or for the health of the communities, are demonized. Personal freedom is more important…

You would probably be sadder if your parents get sick. So be happy that they are smart and they try their best to be safe. My husband and I haven't seen two grandchildren since Christmas and the other two since January. They don't live near by, so getting together and for us driving or flying is too risky due to our age.…

I was thinking today that this year Xmas gifts will be a check or gift cards that can be bought on line. I am not venturing out to the stores at my age, with all the crazy holiday crowd until there is a vaccine in place. I am sure that my family will be happy with my decision.

This is the problem that we have in this country. A governor issues an executive order, but authorities don't want to enforce it. Three sheriffs in North Carolina have declared that they will not be enforcing Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper's statewide mask mandate despite a growing number of coronavirus cases.…

My kids and their families don't live nearby. One is in another state and the other lives close to a three hours’ drive, depending on the traffic. I haven't seen my older grandchildren since 12/28, and I missed my granddaughter's HS graduation. It was a drive-thru and a virtual event. I saw my younger grandchildren in…

Not so sure about that. I read this week in the news on line of a person refusing to wear a mask, even when he had lost family members to the virus. I didn't open the article because I found that statement so atrocious that I didn't want to get more upset reading his reasons. Some people are so narrow minded that nothing…

That statement is so WRONG and callous, that if I answer it the way is supposed to be, I will be banned for life from MFP. Please do yourself a favor and read and try to understand the science behind the behavior of this virus and forget about the idiotic things that are coming from the mouth of people without intelligence…

It seems that the reason for not wearing a mask is "America was born in rebellion and it's a spirit that still runs deep in its character." So the country is in a perpetual infantile immature stage.... America's mask resistance is just the latest example of a perennial struggle…

In maintenance for 10 years. I had been inconsistently weighing and logging for a couple years skipping logging all together on vacation or when eating out. Logging was never something that I enjoyed doing or a habit that I embraced. On 2/11, and before the sheltering and pandemic took hold of our lives, I fell down and…

Awesome job and great results. Kudos to you and your new figure!!!!

I found this article interesting and applicable to the way that some/or most of us are feeling. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/08/health/quarantine-fatigue-is-real-coronavirus-wellness/index.html

Zombie thread from 2013. It must be boring in the neighborhood ;)

Except for breakfast (part of my meals), I haven't weighted or tracked lunch, snacks or dinners since the middle of February. I broke my wrist in February so cooking was not easy to do, and it gave me an excellent reason for not to tracking/logging. I am better now, but I like the freedom of not having to weight and log…

I read on line about this wonderful act and I was happy and proud of this young man and his employees for helping the community. Stories like this lift the spirit and help me to deal with the stupidity and ignorance of other folks.

I am sure that some of you are already aware of this information.' but Just in case you are not, here it goes.. Portapotties are cleaned and supplied by the rental company. Fully functional bathrooms need to be cleaned and supplied by the city or county and they probably don't have enough personnel to do that. That is my opinion, but I also agree with your reasoning.

Thank you for your words. My oldest son is a paramedic/firefighter. I also worry for him.

Well, you will have a bunch of judges to blame if the infection spikes again.

The seasonal cold is the result of the action of several viruses (rhinoviruses), and the seasonal flu is caused by an ever-mutating virus. Hard to find a vaccine that covers all the angles successfully. The virus responsible for COVID-19 does not seem to be mutating too fast or at all. Researchers feel that this finding…
