"On a less positive note, I am getting more and more pushback from my parents and brothers family to "stop living in fear". My mom and SIL are focused on disinfecting everything constantly, but are totally fine with all of us gathering for indoor family meals for hours, and intend to continue to do so after school starts.…

I find myself dealing with the same problem. Right now the fitness center in my community has been closed for the second time, so I have no choice other than working out from home (I don't like it!). My husband has underlying conditions and he doesn't want to go back to the gym unless the virus is gone for ever (wishful…

Would you also remember that it was also your choice to put at risk other people, that may also end up in a ventilator or the cemetery ? Would you feel proud of that too? Note: I really, really hope that you don't ever end up hooked up to a ventilator <3 .

But does Christ loves you for putting your fellow Christian's friends health in jeopardy and risk getting the virus and maybe dying? He was sacrificed for protecting his flock, but his flock can't even keep social distance or wear a mask to protect humanity? Wow, just wow!

If I write what and how I feel about this statement and train of though, I will probably be banned for life from MFP. I am happy that I don't know this person and I don't have friends that think that way.

Well said, and I wonder where did they learn that..... >:)

What about the people that you probably infected if you are symptomatic. Such such selfish statement!

Totally wrong statement, and part of a conspiracy theory. Please present proof of what you said or for ever keep silent with such dumbfounding ideas that do as much damage as the virus. Edited to add the information below: SARS-CoV-2 not Man-Made, Comparative Genomic Study Concludes Mar 18, 2020 NEW YORK – The SARS-CoV-2…

Your common sense should overwrite the need to socialize. If it protects other people around you, including and especially your family, is indirectly protecting you and the rest of the population by reducing the infection rate.

And this is one of the reasons why will be fighting this pandemic in the USA for a very long time in the absence of a federal mandate. Shameful actions from somebody that it is suppose to "protect." I hope that he gets ousted or not re-elected. Florida sheriff forbids employees, visitors to wear masks: If they do, 'they…

The house and garden have been kept. I am always washing dishes and surfaces, loading and unloading the dishwasher, cooking, disinfecting, and washing clothes. There are only two (old) adults living in the house so I have no idea where the extra work comes from, but I admit that I am a control freak and I like to clean and…

I wear a mask at all indoor places regardless of local requirements or mandates or the requirements of the business. If they don't like it, tough *kitten*. I never had any problems, but if I am asked to remove the mask or harassed about wearing it, I would leave and take my business someplace else. I wear a mask outside…

Very selfish and callous statement, IMOP. However, I wish well.

Bless you for being able to love until that ripe age :D !!!

101 for me, and I am already 76 years old; and 94 for my husband and he is 80 years old. I don't like the idea or living until "that" old age without my husband, and I don't think that I could do much exercise and gardening being that old either. Of course with my OA who know how crooked I will be at 101 :# .

He probably was nice due to PR and because he was talking to the press; but I think that in private he was probably fuming because they had to do a lot of contact tracing and extra cleaning at school besides the possibility of more infection. It should be the obligation of the Health Department to put some fine on the…

USA here. Gyms are closed in California, again! When they open at the end of June for a month or so, my husband and I didn't go because we don't feel safe indoors or touching equipment handled by other people as well. Masks were optional while working out, and since we can't work-out with face covering, we decided to stay…

I am a mother and a grandmother. I haven't seen my kids, my daughters in law, and my grandchildren since the end of December. Everybody has a job, grandchildren have been taking classes on line, and everybody is healthy so far, including my husband and I. And that is fine with me, and I want to keep it that way! My husband…

Thanks, I was ready to post the same thing. People don't get it!! Not wonder we are in such a big mess. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2020/07/29/coronavirus-barr-get-tested-after-louie-gohmert-found-positive/5535187002/ How stupid is that? You wear a mask so if you are infected you don't pass the virus around. Now,…

You are too nice. I was thinking in something way more harsh.

I have several masks with changeable filters too, but I don't think that they are "cool" enough for exercising for me. I may try the ones in the link.

Not to derail the conversation folks, but since this is a "mask" thread, I though that some of you maybe interested in this information about light masks to wear while working out. Carry on. https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/22/cnn-underscored/best-breathable-face-masks/index.html
