No organizing or de-clutting for me for awhile. I tripped and fell down at home and broke my right wrist (radius and ulna). I'm on a full arm cast, miserable, in pain, limited, and frustrated :'( . Hard to type with my left hand. I will check-in when I can but I do/follow your postings.

In southern California, new constructions for homes have a separate laundry room. Older homes have the hookup in the garage. But things change depending on the area. I don't know about is going on with apartments or condos these days.

Good for you !!!!! The best thing that I ever did was NOT TO BE on FB or any other kind of social media outlet. I don'r regret it at all. Even in MFP, I am very selective with my interactions,

You need to see a podiatrist.

If you have space/room in your house get some work-outs DVDs (check your local library), or check YouTube, and start having fun and exercising at the same time. It is something that you and your partner may be able to do together or on your own, depending on your choices and preferences, especially during the winter months.

My husband was my boss. Now, I am the boss... :D :D :D

Check your food diary and see which of the foods that you are eating have the higher fiber content and reduce portion or frequency. But I agree that you should be more concerned about the intake of healthy fats and protein. I do not tolerate high fiber intake, so my setting is at 25 g/per day. Sometimes I go over,…

Thank you and happy anniversary! I meet my husband in 1963, so we really have been together for 57 years (although we didn't live together until we got married). I wouldn't change this man for the world.
-
It will be 54 years for me and my husband in a couple of months <3 . I don't think that MFP was around in mid 60s, and not many of the present members either :D .

I am thin but I don't do that. It would be boring for me and my husband.
-
I have done this in the past when my granddaughter was a girl scout and sold the cookies.

Dark meat and white chicken meat have different protein and fat contents, and calories count too. This approach is too generic and not accurate.

Good for you Char, but I warn you that it is a never ending chore. One day everything is neat and in order, and the next a bunch of papers show up out of nowhere that need to be checked or read before throwing them away. Just take one day at the time. The good thing is that once you get rid of the big pile of unneeded and…

I agree!!!!! <3

@moogie_fit: You just opened a can of worms. You are asking people to judge or criticize other members food choices. No other way to put it, and I would like to know why in the world you would start this kind of thread in The Food and Nutrition section. Take it to the Chi-Chat area where every thing seems to be more…

I just write in the comments section what I ate (for my own information) but I don't bother logging, if the restaurant doesn't provide nutritional information. It's not worthy for me to spend time looking for something similar in the DB, or estimating since I know that it will not be accurate. I do choose healthier options…

Thank you to all of you for clarifying the meaning of "OH."

No, I don't have a fitness tracker. I don't like gadgets, (they are not reliable for the type of workouts that I do), and I don't track exercise calories, only minutes/hours exercising per day.
-
@kshama2001 What is "OH?" Other husband?

I can't even remember the last time that I had bacon... ;) I know that it was sometime last year.

I continue to clean-up and organize (and throw away), papers every day. Today it was my desk's turn. What I don't need or want was shredded, and what I am still "thinking" about went to the corresponding folder in one of the drawers. At least they are out of sight. Once I have the time, I will start cleaning those folders…

This is the week to awake zombie's threads. Must be slow in MFP....

I do chair yoga three times a week and mat yoga when my knees and lower back allow it. I love yoga but it is not my main exercise. I workout at the gym four times a week doing strength training, calisthenics and moderate cardio too. I like to mix things around.

@LoveyChar Don't feel bad about the booster seat. Laws for children car-seats have changed a lot in the last couple of years and many of these old seats are not longer allowed since they would not pass the new safety check.

Interesting and thank you...for both your story and the differentiation/clarification between hoarder and packrat. I fall under neither...I'm neither a packrat nor a hoarder according to that. I buy almost nothing materialistic at the store unless I need it. My issues are more like this: Every single thing that my…

You and me both; but don't worry it seems that we have more company coming... :D Hi Carlos, what's up?
-
@LoveyChar My Husband is a pack-rat, as you described the term. He doesn't want to give up anything even if he has not worn/used it in a long time, or never will. I wish I could go inside his closet and purge and donate a lot of his clothing that are there taking space, specially when he buys new stuff without getting rid…

@ kimny72 Oh dear, I need to put more attention to the date of the original posting. Darn! The good thing is that I am not alone. Thanks.
