  • Perfect for this month!! Goals: Cut out added processed sugar! Does wine, vodka or tequila count? Not that I plan on drinking all of those (at the same time) - but, thought I would check just in case an ice cold Patron Margarita walks my way.
  • Oops - forgot to say Thank You Snoozie - that was a great read for April 1!
  • "The thing about healthy living is that it's all about balance. You don't give in to every indulgence or even give up every indulgence, you simply plan better " I think this was my favorite part. When people ask me what diet I am on and I say I'm not on a diet and haven't been. I've changed my life and yes I will eat that…
  • Oh no, Snooozie! Not good! So sorry to hear about folks injuries and not being able to get things done like they want. I'm thinking we over did March? LOL. My "batwing" is howling at me and my thighs are chatting unkindly. But, we shall persevere! Loving the No Fooling Around and KISS. I see April as pretty much the…
  • Something to challenge us to roll on through Spring right into Summer -- before all that humidity and heat hit us square in the face. Wait - wasn't I just complaining about it being too cold?! I'm such a fair weather friend!
  • Brava Snooozie!! I agree!
  • What a great read to get this week started out on the right foot! Thank you for that.
  • As I sit in my office, staring at this computer screen and listening to rain pelt the windows and yes, that was thunder; starting to wonder this thought. Will Spring ever actually happen? Not feeling Spring outside nor Spring in my step right now. Just going to have to go with the old Salt and Peppa song.... Push It --…
  • Sounds like a great trip was had with mouthwatering foods. If we do not ever let ourselves indulge, we would start being bat@#$% crazy! 95% Healthy eating / 5% indulge?? What do you think? Great pound gone! Yay! That silly chest cold thing is catching a lot of folks -- succumbed over the weekend myself. My husband brought…
  • Let's do a ton of NEPA today!!! Weekend was a complete bust - my FitBit kept asking if I was still alive.... so, the more NEPA today the better!
  • Oh yes, Snooozie I did figure out how to track my exercise on the FitBit - now, I don't want to anymore. I did 3.5 miles in 42 minutes - sweated like a pig - and it only logged 284 calories burned... say what? Not super encouraging.
  • Do you log housework and NEPA stuff as exercise? I'm don't, but not sure if I should or not. Maybe since I don't do enough of it? :o I tend to only count when I get my sweat on and then try to not eat all those calories back. Not sure which way to go with that. However,,,,,,best thing? Spring -- I love Spring! This year…
  • I did enjoy reading about the NEPA -- and vow to NEPA the heck out of today and tomorrow and ....... Truly is a great sentiment and the more we do it the easier it becomes. Well, waiting for that - but, I hope to able to embrace that also.
  • Snooozie, you must have seen me wogging around our fairgrounds, saying naughty things to my fitbit and stopping, poking at it again trying to figure this all out! A very correct image of my time spent with the iPad, iPhone or fitbit..... grrrrrrrr. Nothing makes me feel more my age than dealing with technology. I Will…
  • I will have to admit, I have tried to make sure to get my 10,000 steps in a day after the FitBit told on me (to myself) that I Need to get up from my desk and walk down the hall or trot around the building - DO Something! Great idea - got to Move it Move it Move it!!
  • I don't know how you do it Snooozie! I think it is awesome that you get any movement in at all working midnights... That would mess me up something awful! So, You Go Girl -- any movement during those times and especially after a dental invasion! Keep doing what you are doing and stretching and balance is something we all…
  • Already part way into the week and feeling like I better kick it into gear. Was able to walk with my pregnant DIL while in North Carolina over the weekend - but, other than that spending 11 hours each way in a car played havoc on my body and shot those days for exercise. Back at it! Goals for the rest of this week. Log…
  • Feeling pretty good about moving all my creaky parts this week. I can never figure out why wogging in the afternoon after work is never as easy nor feels as good as when I can get in an early morning wog. Is it because I sit all day? Is it the high heels I wear? Or, am I just tired? What a great place to walk Snooozie!…
  • What a gorgeous picture! Not sure I would term that "small joy". All that beauty is Huge! What a serene place to work up a sweat!
  • Ah, yes, the gluten-free, soy-free, chocolate was, shall we say, not my favorite - as, the person that made it stood there all expectant upon my reaction! Hey, I'm not a mom to 3 (& 3 kids-in-law) and gramma and been married 37 years for nothing! I can fake it with the best of them ;) Snooozie - Vacay, no. Trip, yes. We…
  • Thank you Snoozie for the great insight into life, movement, and lying scales. Move like you've never moved before and soon you will enjoy that movement and be able to do it. I have to remind myself of that today every time I stand up from my desk to walk -- aching thigh muscles from "wogging" more than usual this weekend.…
  • It's a new day - a new week!! Got up this morning with renewed vigor and energy -- well, okay, I lie. Vigor and Energy may not have entered into the getting up so early with the time change. However, even with that - I'm ready to Go! Let's Move. Had prepped wonderful healthy foods and snacks for the week and planned out my…
  • Thank you! I do warn my kids I'm going to be around Forever!! But only if I take it to heart and keep these sticky joints moving. They say weight is lost in the kitchen not the gym. I agree, partly. One cannot out train a poor diet / however we need to do both. Eat right and move.
  • Oh my yes - fresh mojito brings vision of being too hot sitting on the deck after a fabulous day of working outside sipping on a tall icy glass of fresh mint mojito... I'm thinking someone is done with this winter!
  • I second everything Snooozie said! It can and does get extremely frustrating that sometimes I just want to say chuck it and walk away....but, then I look at a picture hanging in our living room of myself- at 210# and my husband at 250# and remember what I felt like seeing us all dressed up with our son and his wife…
  • Everyone is getting into the mood for Spring! Even though some days may not have as much movement as others (we all do need rest days) - just getting our bodies moving is a step in the right direction! Can't wait to get outside -- I fully admit I am a wimp when it comes to severe cold (or hot). I did not realize for many…
  • There is Hope for the frozen Hatters! I just looked at the 10 day forecast and it is showing by March 11 - 52 balmy degrees!!! They better not be kidding! YAY! Of course, the melting off of the feet of snow could pose real flooding problems. But, I already have visions of my winter-big backside wogging around our…
  • Just a brisk 10 minute walk during the day makes me feel better. As I think about moving - all I know is my mom started walking daily back in the 70's when she was much younger than I am now. She is 81 and walks her 3 miles every morning; then goes and to play 18 holes of golf at least 4-5 times a week and then does an…
  • It is so much fun reading everybody's goals for March.... I realize those of us living through these Siberian Express days - just getting through March into April with limbs intact will be great! Getting all the Moving Parts going in one direction is awesome! Speaking of moving parts -- One of my goals this months is to…
  • That is an interesting read. Sometimes we need to have perspective on our lifestyles. Having found out from losing probably 500 # in my lifetime -- Lose it - Gain it - Lose it - Gain it. Okay, not 500#, but sure feels like it. And having to come to terms that CICO is all there is. Accepting that I am going to mess up and…
