Unhealthy food, once in a while, is totally fine. I don't regret having a cheat meal, but it often lead to a cheat day, which is not good, and would lead to a big regret afterward.

For me a cheat day will undo an entire week of dieting. So I think it’s a bad idea. A cheat meal is a way to go. Make it big, at the end of the day, and get the cravings out.

I would advise against this, as it did not work for me. I find myself getting really depressed from having to do cardio an hour a day just so I could enjoy a cupcake. It's not worth it. Now I set my daily caloric intake to a constant number, and stick with that no matter what. That way I'd never have to worry about burning…

I'm with your trainer. Greens (not other colors) are free calories, as I don't count them. Although they do have calories, this ways makes life much easier. Simplify your diet is the key to reach your goal.

It's difficult to eat these food in moderation. Once you start, you just can't stop. Eating them a little bit "whenever" doesn't work with some people.
