It took a while to get used to, but I can drink tea with no sugar or sweetener now.

Popcorn is my go-to snack. It's better than potato chips and I still get that crunch that I need.

I put my Alta in my pocket when I'm at the store pushing a shopping cart and it works fine. I'm not sure really how accurate it is, but it always counts a lot of steps.

My first Fitbit was a Zip and I liked it until I wanted to track more things. I hooked it to my bra and I think it worked great.

I also use the Leslie Sansone DVD's and love them. There are a lot of her workouts on YouTube. I use them from there also for variety.

What size muffin tin did you use, full size or mini muffins?

I put my Fitbit in my jeans pocket when pushing a shopping cart.

Hello, everyone. I'm also new to the group and I love Leslie's videos. My goal is to do her videos or walk outside (weather permitting) at least 5 days a week. Here's January, so far: 1 - rest day 2 - 1 mile walk Leslie Sansone Utilmate 5 Day Walk Plan DVD 3 - Leslie Sansone "Walk Indoors! Interval" video from Youtube. I…

Feel free to add me as a friend. I was just cleared by my doctor to start walking/working out again after suffering from Plantar Fasciitis since April. During those months, I gained back almost all the pounds that I had lost, so it's like I'm starting over again.

I keep hard boiled eggs in the refrigerator and have one for breakfast every morning with a cup of coffee. If I feel I need more, I will have a stick of string cheese, a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, or a piece of Baby Bel light cheese. Protein all around.

I just got over Plantar Fasciitis that I had for 9 months and finally had to go to the doctor for it. I have very weak arches and needed special orthodics, not to mention a steroid shot. My feet feel great now and the doc said I can start back to my walking workouts now. I asked him about new shoes and he recommended New…

I have a hand-held one and love the veggies, but its a lot of work and haven't used it in a while. However, my next one will be one that is easier to use.

I only enter my exercise on the Fitbit site. It will eventually sync it to MFP. For example, I used to do water aerobics where I didn't wear my Fitbit. I entered the calories I burned from that workout on the Fitbit exercise log page at the bottom and it will add those calories to MFP. It does take a little time for it to…

For most of 2016, I had Plantar Fasciitis so bad my workout were scaled way back and that caused me to gain back most of the weight I had lost. I finally went to the doctor about it and after new orthotics and a steroid shot, I'm back to normal. He told me no more treadmill workouts, but to walk outside or on an indoor…

I used to carry pepper spray when I walked alone. After I got my concealed carry permit, I now carry a very small gun in my pocket. However, I would not carry if I wasn't knowledgeable in handling it. I only wear one earbud so I can hear if a car or person is coming up behind me. I walk near my home in a very rural area or…

At my old job, we kept a stationary bike in the server room to ride over lunchtime.

Not everyone needs to carry to protect themselves from people. When I ride or walk, its usually on the roads around my house and I live in a very rural area. There are coyotes around here, which is why I carry a .22 North American Arms Mini Revolver. No holster needed. It's holds 5 rounds and fits in the pocket of my…

My Y has weightlifting classes for women. Have you checked the classes your Y has? Most of them are free with your membership.

I keep hard boiled eggs in the frig and have one for breakfast with a cup of coffee. It's also a great on-the-go breakfast to eat on the way to work.

Their grilled chicken is very good, but I found out that all KFC's don't carry the grilled chicken. :(

I get my PB2 at Walmart in the USA.

I've had it in my left foot for a couple months now. Yes, it is painful. I did the ice and ibuprofen. I think what helped me the most was taking a break from walking (my go to exercise), then stretching, and I use a foot roller under my desk at home all the time now. I almost bought a PF brace, but the other things I did…

My steps are there, but it's not giving me any credit in my calorie adjustment. I try not to use my exercise calories, but it's motivating to see them there. So frustrating.

This is a great thread. I'm also wanting to get into biking. It's been since college years and years ago since I rode. I know they say don't buy a bike from Walmart, but because its been so long, I don't want to invest a lot into a bike just in case things don't work out. I would likely be riding on paved trails, or if…

I used to belong to the Y when I was working. It was easy to go after work. When I retired, the Y is a much longer drive for me now. I did a google search for walking trails near me and found several. Now, I alternate days of using the treadmill I have at home or going to the trails. Works out good for me and so much less…

I'm 57, from Indiana, and would love to have a few more MFP friends. I just unfriended several because they stopped logging into MFP.

I fell off the wagon yesterday with cookies. I did better today, but not as good as I had hoped. Going to try even more tomorrow. Long holiday weekends really do me in. All we can do after the big fall is try again to get back up.

When I had to travel daily for work, I would eat McDonalds Artisan Chicken, Wendy's chili or salads, or Subway's turkey sub with lots of veggies. It was so hard to find a fast food meal that fit into my calorie count. I had to do a lot of researching.

I have either almonds, string cheese, Baby Bel light, or a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese with one saltine. Any of those usually keeps me satisfied until dinner. Don't forget to drink your water too.
