Sadly, what you experienced happens more often than maybe people want to admit. I have experienced very similar treatment. It's gotten to the point where I will over-exaggerate my symptoms in order for the doctor to actually run blood work or tests instead of chalking up my symptoms to me just being overweight. Yes, being…

If you're re-heating in the microwave, wrap a damp paper towel over your plate or container and re-heat on the defrost setting. A bit of a pain in the *kitten* and it takes longer to re-heat, but I've found this doesn't dry the chicken out. Hope that helps

Great progress! Keep it up! :)

Thank you for the encouraging words! I'm very much the same way... I can stick to a regimen just fine during the week and then when the weekend comes I indulge a little too much. But mind over matter is getting easier with practice so I'm hopeful to tame the binge eating demon once and for all as time goes on.

@roxyrainy123 Thank you so much for the app suggestion! Ironically, I was just looking into weight loss hypnosis CDs the other day. I know it's not a "cure" for my problems, but certainly another tool to help me get and keep my mind right through this journey! :)

@jessiferrrb That's what I'm hoping...just a minor fluctuation from my body saying WTF are you doing to me? Lol I guess I just figured since I have so much to lose that I wouldn't see a weight gain so early in my journey. I'm going to keep going and to hell with what the scale says for now. Thanks for the input!

It can be overwhelming to keep at it day after day, but don't give up. Even if you have a day when you slip up, get back on track asap. Look how far you've come already! You can do it!

@rebel_26 I do weigh on the same scale/conditions. I weigh once a week, first thing in the AM. I do use the food tracker on MFP but I get 90% of my meals through a meal prep company, so I can only assume that the calories/macros they are giving me are accurate. The company I get them through is listed in the MFP food data…

@Dano74 - In your experience, is it normal to not lose or even gain in the first few weeks of starting a weight loss / work out plan? I have over 100 lbs. to lose and started really cleaning up my diet about 3 weeks ago. I lost 8.9 lbs so far. But this week I hit the gym for the first time in about 6 months. I have kept my…

I'm in that same self-sabotage boat, changing that is hard work but seeing results helps keep me motivated. You've done a wonderful job breaking the cycle, you look great! Best of luck with your new "gain" plan! :)

Thank you for sharing the article. I think she made a lot of very valid points. As someone who needs to lose 100+ lbs. (and has lost and gained the same 50 lbs. a few times over), I admit that I have probably used every excuse she named. That's just the honest truth and I know that until I stop making excuses I will never…

Thank you for sharing your story. It resonates with me soooooo much. It's so encouraging to read stories of people like me that made it to their goal.
