I ate less than half of the sodium allowance for the day. I've really been trying to watch the salt content in what I eat. Eating more veggies helps A LOT. I was also down on calories--an added bonus!

That's awesome!! Congratulations, that's a huge accomplishment and deserves praise and noisemakers and a happy dance!! :D (*)

I made it to the gym on a Sunday!! Woo Hooo!!! Burned 415 calories. Boy did I need that!

We ate at the buffet for our Valentine's Day dinner and I ordered a steak with no salt, had salad and a small dish of soft serve ice cream. I left satisfied and so proud of myself for not blowing my calories just because it was a special occasion. :)

I went to the movies and took my own popcorn! Thank goodness for Jiffy 100 calorie packs.

I planned out my food intake for the day. It's so much easier when you know exactly what you'll be eating.

I only ate the food I packed in my lunchbox today at work. It was a good day (*)

I looked over my food logs and discovered that the regular I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is killing me calorie-wise at breakfast. I eat toast in the morning and have been consuming 200 calories in butter for that bread! :( Today I switched to the light version. Went from 100 calories a tablespoon to 40 calories a…

I woke up determined to have a good food day today!

Bump! Let's continue with the victories of the day.

I'm also in the same boat with hypothyroidism and slow-to-no-weight loss. For me exercise really helps, but I have to do a fair amount of it. The magic number for me is to burn 500 calories three times a week. When I do that, the weight just starts dropping right off. Unfortunately, with my work schedule it's really hard…

Lucky you! I'm so jealous!

WooHoo!! Let's hear it for droopy drawers!! Don't cough too hard, they may fall down! Nice job.

Ooh that is something to celebrate. I get excited too when my blood sugar is under 90 in the morning. Good going!!

going vegan/vegetarian/paleo/clean does not guarantee weight loss[/quote] Kirstie Alley (not the most credible source I know, but bear with me) came out on a talk show when she dropped a bunch of weight the first time and they asked about her eating. One of the hosts said she was vegetarian and Kirstie replied,"I was…

I go to brunch on Sundays at a buffet with my boyfriend, and I can do great as far as the main course food is concerned, but the soft serve ice cream with caramel sauce and chocolate sauce gets me every time. It's a small dish that packs a whollup calorie-wise. Then to make myself feel less guilty I eat a slice of sugar…

Those 3 lbs finally came off, I'm guessing they were water weight. I tend to retain water and I know it's because I have a hard time with salt in my diet. I eat cottage cheese (often) and it's loaded with salt. I like it for the protein and because I can eat it for breakfast. My weight has held now for almost a week (no…

I've been diabetic for 6 years now and I've been off all medication for 4 years and just controlling my condition with diet and exercise. I watch my carbs closely. I was given a chart from my nutritionist that had measurements for common foods on it and they equaled 30 grams of carbs. I was to have those 30 grams per meal…

I'm on the generic Levothyroxine, exercising 3 times a week for an hour and counting carbs (because of diabetes T2). The holidays didn't go well, but I've been back on track for 3 weeks and have gained 3 lbs instead of lost.
