Waking up early is working out very well for me. There is something so satisfying about stepping out into the calm morning and working my butt off... literally! Can't wait to see your pics! I've seen those color runs- they look like a lot of fun :) maybe that will be the next one for me!

166 days to go! I started the C25k program in the mornings and it's been kicking my butt. I'm getting there though! Logged a total of 33 lbs lost since mid January- that's 33 less to lug around, over around and under stuff :) Been watching instagram pics roll in from battlefrog and spartin events. Very motivating! Can't…

Ok! I see what you are saying. It does make sense. So total oz of peas is 64 + 256 oz of water =320 320/ 52 = 6.15 oz. serving 6.15 oz.= 90 cals. (90/6.15)*8 = 117 per 8 oz serving I never would have thought to do the math that way! Thank you!

No veggies but I will add broth cubes. Was going to figure out the math for those with the same formula if it was right. Yeah- I've tried the recipe calculator too but I noticed on more than one occasion it may say the servicing is 200 cals but when I apply it to my log it shows a different lower cal amount. Figured I must…

Sunflower seeds in the shell!

It sounds like it e I'll be a great time! Here's the link to the one I'm doing. It's a Navy seal inspired course so no inflatables- lots of terrain obstacles, walls and ropes. They have an 8 point bodybuilder penalty exercise and you can do 10 of those instead of the obstacle. But it looks like it will be a lot of fun to…

Congratulations! Signing up is a great motivation :) I'm going to try to do every obsticle but I've also started doing the penalty exercises because I know I'm not going to be able to do many of them this time. I've also started working on my grip strength so that will help ensure I can do some. The more weight I drop the…

Butt busting weekend! Lots of physical labor and sore muscles for building fences and fast walking the trail. Already 50 minutes of cardio today (monday) and feeling great!
-
We worked on putting up fences today - quite an upper body workout and a lot of general physical labor. It feels great to be more active. We've been doing more outside over the last few months but today we figured out that it's also great training too. Bonus! We're talking to our friends about joining us for the race. They…

How about hearty fruits & veggies like carrots, squash, whole peppers, onions, bagged kale, apples, oranges, whole mellons, celery, ect - fresh items that have a shelf life longer than two weeks?
-
That sounds yummy! I'll have to try it :)

I scramble 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg, mushrooms and 2 laughing cow swiss cheese wedges and it tastes AMAZING! Right about 300 calories and it fills me up till lunch. Lots of protein too ;)

I have this issue too. What's worked for me is sunflower seeds. I put 1/4 cup in a little bowl and I eat 2-5 at a time and nibble here and there. I noticed that I am gradually snacking less and less on them but I have a boredom "go to" ready. Since I fiddle with the shells for a while after getting the seed out it keeps my…

OH MY GOODNESS. Wow! I'm (almost) speechless. ...If you can do that...then... what can I do if I get off my *kitten*? So inspirational! Bookmarked. Screen shot taken. And I'm considering some new changes. Thank you for posting!

I'd like to know why this happens too and what I can do about it. I started walking on the treadmill with my hands above my head (I look very silly) but it's all I can think of and it does help...some.

Wow! Very inspiring! Bookmarking for future encouragment  You look amazing and strong! Congratulations!

Self care is a new mind set for me. I'm moving in that direction though. That's a great point Ksolksol! Congratulations emdeesea on reaching your first goal!

That's a great idea Rhonda! Love the charm idea  Got to think of a good first reward when I make 250

Feeling better and having more energy is a good sign you're on the right track!

It all depends on what you got in the pot! I love my crock pot and use it 1-4 times a week. For meats I only add a few tablespoons of water and let it roast in it's own juices. For combo meals (meat and veggies) I aim for a consistency of stew so I don't add much water in that either. For thickener, you could also try a…

Hi Spoonwalker! I'm new (again) to MFP and have been making positive changes for a few months so I feel like I can really make a change this time. I'm 38 and currently 260 lbs with about 120 to shed before i turn 40. (Personal goal) I'd love to build a support network on here of determined people!

Recipe: This is not intended to be a healthy dish- just a healthier version of a naughty dish! I make 4X this recipe for parties and that makes about 40 servings. So 1 batch, listed below should make for about 10 servings. 6 large chicken breasts 2C Franks Red Hot sauce 8 oz low fat cream cheese 12 oz low fat blue cheese…
