I hear ya! I'm 43 and have a longgggg way to go. I've been on and off the wagon so many times my legs should be pure muscle! I'd love to make a few similar minded friends!

I'd love to join! I've been off of my plan for a while now due to surgery but am feeling better than I have in a very long time. I'm looking to get back into my groove and meet my goal of doing an obstacle race in November.

Good logging day but man I am tired- and I really didn't do much. Tomorrow I'll go for a few fast walks and try to get some juice back.

I just turned 40 and am also looking for new friends on MFP. I've lost about 30lbs all together. At one point it was 70 lbs down... and then had habits snuck back in.... yikes! Back on the plan!

Thank you oh_happy_day for confirming I'm not the only one. ((Hugs)) I wonder what the mental process behind this is and how to overcome it once and for all.

That's great! Good to realize how much stronger you were and how prepared you were! Congratulations! Right now it just me and the hubby together but we have another couple that may go with us. They are still on the fence. Hubby's plan is to just show up and see what he's got.... my plan is to whip him! Lol

Love it! Looks like you had a blast! So what was the thing that suprised you most about tourself doing this? And welcome Tiara! Good luck in your upcoming race!
-
Good luck in your last few days of prep! You got this :) Let me know how scouting out the obstacle course goes. Is it the same one you'll do this weekend? I'm doing well with my prep. Stronger every day!

Thank you all! Suzielauj- the secret for me is being honest with myself about what I eat and why. That's probably 90% of it for me!

Thank you both!

That as you lose weight you'll have to re-figure out how to do things you've always done. For example, the nuances of how you place your feet as you walk because you don't have as much thigh mass, the position you shave your legs in, the way you sit in a chair so your legs are lady like, the way you sit in your seat while…

12.5% smaller. ... wow!

This is very insightful and a good perspective for life in general!

I love the ice cream trick! I may have to try that one :)

An average human leg!

That is a fantastic accomplishment! Congratulations :)

That is pretty confusing. I would interpret that as: if you ate 100gm of the undiluted soup mix, it's 320 cal. If you dilute it according to the directions, each serving is 39 calories. How many servings in the whole package? I'm guessing about 8?

Me too! Minus the fanny pack though! Good job!
-
I hiked 6.6 miles and didn't stop to sit down!
-
Love it! Fantastic work! You should be very proud of your accomplishment!

I can relate MadtownMadisonian! Such similar stories :) Thanks for the friend request!

Agree! Guacamole is good. All things in moderation!

Thanks for the support all! I am working on incorporating exercise into my daily routine. And thinking about joining crossfit. Baby steps!

I'm one of those people that believe I had to take the journey I did to be the person I am today. Many aspects of my life were impacted by my weight and insecurity but, because of the choices I made back then, I have two wonderful children and a loving hubby today that I may not have had if I'd started taking better care…

I had 2 coworkers who lived with each other and did some sort of daily rotation diet based on the old food pyramid. You could only eat from one food group for the day and volume didn't matter at all. They rotated a full day of just eating meat, then just veggies, grains and pasta, fruit, dairy, and one day of just fats.…

That is awesome! A whole 8k! You'll be race ready in no time :) I'm averaging about 6 but I'm still working to incorporate C25K into it. It's getting easier as I drop weight - down 40 lbs since mid Feb. I start at the local Crossfit on Monday to help build up strength for the obstacles :) Congrats to good progress for us…

I get up at 4 am and am working out by 4:30 so I can get it done for the day :)
