Hi, I'm Zara, 29 and have had M.E./CFS since I was about 13. I'm mildly affected and still able to work full-time. It's a desk job. I wear a Fitbit to monitor health issues (steps, not too many otherwise I crash; quality of sleep; number of hours slept, etc.), and I'm averaging 3,500 steps a day. Exercising is out of the…

Is there a chance you're restless in your sleep? I have a Fitbit Alta HR and I bought it because I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E. Ironically, although my main symptom is fatigue, I also get restless sleep so I monitor my sleep and can see I'm pretty restless. My first night, I apparently did 19 steps! I wear on my…

It might be worth talking to your doctor, as sometimes there is a similar medication that can do the same job but without the weight gain side effect. Also, keep an eye on your calories because, as the poster about says, a lot of weight gain from meds is from an increase in appetite. I have the same from taking…

Hi, I have chronic fatigue syndrome (also known as M.E). A lot of sufferers of that can experience digestive issues unfortunately, but it sounds like you have something else. I see a gastroenterologist as I have IBS and for another stomach issue. He suggested I go on the Low FODMAP Diet as, like you, I have bloating after…

Not sure if it's because she was breastfeeding too, but the lady in this article nearly died after limiting carbs: dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3262230/New-mother-nearly-DIES-low-carb-diet-32-year-old-developed-life-threatening-condition-ditching-bread-rice-pasta-breastfeeding.html

I've just had a peep at your food diary. You list generic items - they are rarely correct for their calorie content. It's best to weigh/measure food/drink yourself, otherwise you could be meeting more than you think.

I chose towards the high part of the health BMI for my height. I know BMI charts are not perfect, but I aim to re-evaluate as I go and my body changes shape, and to see what I'm comfortable with.
