  • I don't know about "crack the balance" but a couple tricks i use: recording my meals in advance. For me, i find that i am less likely to deviate from a plan that's already been recorded. After that its pretty much anything that can help erase those cravings from thought - Exercise, yoga, a shower, a nap ect ect. All this…
  • We tend to make things more complicated than they need to be, but the simple truth is, eat less! Consistency is key. You must be vigilant and record every little piece calorie you consume - Hell, if i so much as smell a chocolate cake i assume i just consumed 100 calories! Obviously that last sentence isnt true, but for…
  • I assume you were diabetic? If so, how did you manage the carb overload from eating all the potatoes? Awesome story by the way and very inspirational! Thank you for sharing.
  • My go to food when needing to add a little extra calories is unsalted cashews or walnuts. Both are low carb and require very little to increase calorie intake. I do question the 1200 calorie/day though. based on your age, height, and weight are sure its that low?

Personally i disagree with jumping on the scale daily as weight loss just does not happen…
  • As of today its a 1lb loss. Profile is open now. I guess i am making comparisons to the msg we get after completing the days count which suggests "you'll weigh this amount in 5 weeks if you eat this way" ect ect. According to MFP i should be in the 250'ish range( which would be the 2lbs a week loss i desired) not 1lb…
  • Thank you all for the responses. Regarding the "timeline" its a important aspect due to endocrinology expectations. Without going in depth, i had a heart transplant 7 years ago and have since become diabetic with triglycerides in 1500 range. While i certainly agree with the slow, habit-building method, my situation is a…
  • Umm, yeah. I agree with Kellan. Based on your pic, 31% doesnt seem correct at all. Iv also had that test done and I was 250lbs. Something is off..
